Based on how he’s game planned Streveler this season and how he’s failed at developing QBs for a lifetime I truly doubt any agent would advise Streveler to follow Lapo unless it is the only option.
-
30 fronts are garbage in this era and with the way teams use max protect with 2-3 man routes downfield. The Bombers blitz packages all season are a great example of that. I doubt a Bombers LB has touched a QB in the pocket more than 10 times this season.

And if he’s not Maston is the guy. I’d like to see both on the roster but if they are both starting one at SAM and one at safety. Put Alexander back to the boundary. I’d get 7 DL on the roster for this one regardless of the cost. Easy way is to drop the 4th import LB.

I think if he gets axed in BC he'll be heading south to coach DL in the NFL.

He says almost exactly what I posted. He's walking through it there, but it's been done before with guys playing receiver and QB in the same season. When Danny Barrett first came into the league he played both receiver and QB for the Stamps. How the league manages a team trying to hide a QB in another roster designation is by the rule that someone designated a QB has to be on the field for each offensive play. So if you dressed Streveler as a DI, he'd have to both sub in for another import, and you'd have to have one of the 2-3 guys rostered as QB's on the field, and you can only have one QB on the field for offensive plays. So unless you have another QB who is a CFL-level receiver, you're playing at a pretty significant deficit. Often when the rosters were smaller, like when it was a 36 man roster, teams would dress their kickers as the 3rd QB as it has no effect on special teams.
-
They could roster them as anything, but then you’re taking away another player. And every offensive snap needs someone rostered as a QB on the field. So even if you wanted to use that player as the QB in some sets the other QB would have to be out there, so you’re basically 11 on 12.

Roh. Roh is our best pass rusher. We miss him dearly. We get Nevis and Richardson out together lots, they have lots of different sets with Hecht or D Jones in the secondary and all import DL.

The bye is actually working to the Bombers advantage IMO. In some ways playing the WSF is good, two week bye is not a way to go into playoffs. Sask and Calgary will blow their brains out for 1st and 2nd. The way the schedule lines up both games will be meaningful since Sask plays first, they won't know what Calgary's result is and Calgary needs to win either way. The Bombers can prep for both this week and turn their focus onto their WSF opponent on Saturday night.

And any receiver the Bombers have dressed this season.

Nichols isn't an option for a team that wants a legitimate chance to contend. Even more so now with a rebuilt shoulder joint.

Watch the hit on Collaros on the first drive. He shovels the ball when he’s scrambling, one Calgary DL is pulling him down from behind and Jabar Westerman comes from his left and ear holes him with his face mask. That’s an easy RTP call. It’s the 2nd down play before the punt.
-
Streveler will be in a NFL camp as a hybrid player. He’s gonna get a lot of tryouts and I’m sure someone will sign him. He for sure won’t be around for CFL training camp.
-
That first challenge/timeout basically has to be used before the 3 minute warning in the 4th. I believe that’s why O’Shea often takes a shot on challenges close to the 3 minute warning. There were two blatant missed calls he could have challenged in the first half, the non-catch you mentioned and a headshot on Collaros by Westerman on the Bombers opening drive.

Streveler way our performed that in his first 4 starts this season, and drove for the win in Regina. Really the difference is the offensive game plan and Lapolice’s fright. I’d like to see Streveler with a pro OC or offensive head coach. Lapolice does horrible work with young players, I don’t want him near any of our good prospects including McGuire. They don’t practice in pads or anywhere near game speed so I’m not sure how useful that is for rapport building, film work will probably help the most.
-
No. For some reason the media really isn't on it, but anyone who knows anything about football can see a lot of schematic issues with this offense, and really the stink is following Lapo around this whole decade no matter which QB, which players he has.
-
The only one of those guys with a contract for 2020 is McGuire.
-
Yes there is not a lot of space. The ball doesn't move out of the QB's hands fast and Lapo can't design effective screens to get guys the ball pointing forward with some momentum and blocks.
-
Too early.
-
I'm guessing it's his hail mary challenge. Timeout expires at 3 mins anyway. Could have used it at least 2 times earlier, once on RTP, once on no catch right before half.
-
Adams quit on that play.
-
Jesus look at how tight BLM's toss is.
-
Except there's 4-5 possessions left in this game.
-
Really need to go for 2 there just in the exchange of scores, we're losing a point each time if Calgary doesn't let us return a missed convert. Calgary TD makes it a 2 possession game.
-
Him to be able to make a block on a pull.

Hardrick is really immobile right now.
