  1. Bit of a difference, in that, well, there are other football teams in Canada to cheer for. Baseball, not so much.
  2. I expect reams of sanctimony and I told you so's from the NDP, who still can't get over that most Canadians just don't trust them to run the economy. Until they do, and fix that perception (a successful provincial government would help) they are doomed to third place.
  3. I saw after the game that some of the Jays players were wearing T-shirts that said "Toronto vs. Everyone" and it does kind of feel that way, especially with the stupid comments from American broadcasters about Canada and Canadian fans. I doubt many Americans who are baseball fans want to see a Canadian team in the World Series again.
  4. Well I'm sick of how you attack me and TUP, and try to claim some kind of moral high-ground in the process, while ignoring others who are lying, constantly. As for presenting my opinion as fact, sorry, but the NDP is awful. And everywhere they've governed they proven that time and time again. We are still cleaning up the mess they left here in BC, and the last time they were in power was 2001. But as I said before, if what I say about the NDP bugs you so much, then put me on ignore. You may not like what I have to say, but you should agree that I have a right to say it. Just as you do. Well congrats, you served me my medicine and wow is it bitter. As for coming up with logical arguments, I honestly don't care if you don't think they are logical. As for contrite insults, I believe that I was just called bigoted. And once again, you were no where to be found. SURPRISE!!! Ok - well go find someone who believes that Harper is the best person to manage the economy, and ask them to do what you want them to do. Why are you asking me? I just hate seeing people post lies, like he is destroying the environment because Maude Barlow says so, or he is defunding health care because some union-funded lobby group spins the numbers and posts this on their website. Did Harper manage the economy well? Probably not. But how would anyone really know, when you can't believe almost anything you read, from anybody?? That includes you, I am afraid.
  5. That movie scared me too. Dennis Weaver at his best. That was Spielberg's directorial debut, I believe. Excellent reference.
  6. Oh it's Goering to happen, just a matter of time.
  7. yeah that was a beauty all right.
  8. I enjoyed those last three innings so much that I watched the replay again later on Sportsnet One. As intense as that game was, I honestly think the best is yet to come. The Royals and the Jays hate each other with a passion. The last time they played it was a total war, with both sides throwing at each other's heads. It's a good thing Donaldson can duck or he'd be still in rehab, as they were chucking at his melon all game. I expect a few bench-clearings and more insanity for sure. Baseball is a crazy game. I hope that we get a better commentating crew this round as well. That guy with the comment that Canadians can't catch foul balls was really getting on my nerves.
  9. Just overcoming that last name is a feat in and of itself.
  10. wow, welcome to a majority government Prime Minister Trudeau. I have to admit that phrase does send a shiver down my spine, and not a good one, having still bad memories of his dad. I really hope Justin is a better and more just ruler. I think he will be.
  11. Frankly I don't agree with the NDP supporters because they lie their asses off and have no integrity. Not one of them as supported their arguments with any facts, just lies. If you feel that "supporting arguments" with lies means they supported them better than me (I didn't realize that this was a contest) then I feel sorry for you. I honestly don't think all I've done is call the NDP names, but if that's how you feel, I feel sorry for you again. This is supposed to be an internet forum, and I have a lot of issues with how the NDP has governed in various regions of Canada. I think they are a terrible party, and when I see their supporters lying blatantly, spouting sheer garbage, and no one saying anything, that just shows why they continue to exist in this country. People tolerate pure malfeasance, and that bothers me. If you don't like it, just put me on ignore. But I won't change. I've seen too much. And it sickens me. Great! I honestly don't care, as you keep making this flawed assumption that I am a Conservative supporter. I am pretty much made up in my mind to vote for the Liberal candidate in my riding, because she's pretty awesome, and my current Conservative MP is a total jack-ass. So if I am poorly representing the Conservatives in your mind, I honestly don't care. I haven't said because I'm not voting for them. As for "made up drivel" about the NDP, I just don't know how someone who's been living under the NDP for so long in Manitoba and watched them ring up massive deficits for 7 years in a row can accuse anybody who doesn't like their economic policies and poor money management skills of made up drivel. You really need to check your reality. I don't know why you continue to target TUP and myself, and make silly comments like the ones above, but perhaps you should be practicing what you preach, and instead of posting "made up drivel" yourself, tell us who you are voting for and why. Attacking us just gives NDP supporters a bad name (oh right, you don't support the NDP, yeah ok).
  12. My company exports almost everything to the US so the low dollar is a real win for us. Come to think of it, I should be voting NDP! Doh... Priorities are mixed up, yo why do you say that?

  14. he's becoming the anti Jabari Arthur...
  15. anyway, as I said, politics brings out the worst in people. Which is why the 19th can't come soon enough. You nailed it Iso, this election has gone on too long.
  16. And I would also advise ignoring the blathering of liars with zero integrity. ABTM What are you saying KBF? What are you saying Mr. Dee?
  17. Yup, should have been a shorter election, for sure.
  18. And I would also advise ignoring the blathering of liars with zero integrity. ABTM
  19. Maybe not as many as you think. The Trudeau attack ads seemed to have backfired on the Conservatives. if anything, they've helped Trudeau & made the Conservatives to be asshats. I think people first found them amusing, then annoying & then became angry with being bombarded by them. I think it turned a lot of potential voters off from the Conservatives. Just boneheaded ads. What I couldn't get was the NDP mimicking the attack ads and doing the same to Harper. The NDP seems to have totally missed the fact that the Liberals were their true enemy in this election, not the Conservatives. And now they are paying the price. But I agree, the Nice Hair Though ads were a huge backfire.
  20. Injured or not, I really hope Dominic has played his last game as a Blue Bomber. Time to go get a job selling shwarmas.
  21. I am insulting people because I point out their hypocrisy? Really. What thin-skins we all have. You insulted the people you called idiots. We can agree that there is a problem with thin skin in this thread. Yes, because the NDP are idiots. In my humble opinion. Especially the ones that lie, constantly. My respect for those that tolerate the constant lying, in the name of partisanship, is extremely low too.
  22. If MB is still the OC next year, the Bombers #1 QB position will be vacant after week 3, at the latest.
  23. I am insulting people because I point out their hypocrisy? Really. What thin-skins we all have. I just don't get why you and your gang of holier-than-thous pick on the few here who aren't anti-Harper parrots out of some misguided sense of fairness (or partisanship), yet stay silent when people blatantly lie. And then try and pretend that it "only happened once". As I said, I really hate how politics brings out the worst in people. Religion is pretty much tied with politics in that sense. Want to bring a dinner party to a standstill? Mention either religion or politics and boom, it's destroyed. My niece summed up for me the NDP stance this weekend when she told the whole family how dumb we were because we were voting Liberal or Conservative, instead of the "obvious" choice which was the NDP, because all the other parties worried about was "money". This from someone who is 100% dependent on her parents to pay her tuition, her books, her dorm, her clothes, her food, everything. Just delusional. Of course you don't have to "worry about money", that's mom and dad's problem. When you don't have to worry about money, and have nothing to lose, the NDP is definitely the obvious choice. If your niece is dependent upon her parents to pay for everything, its no wonder she believes the NDP are the rightful party. She wants to be taken care of. One day, when she has a career and assets and money of her own, chances are she will begin to feel like the money she makes should be hers to keep, people who want to be taken care of from cradle to grave are wrong and the government should mind its own business. Which just proves the axiom: "If you are young and you aren't a socialist, then you have no heart. If you are old and you aren't a Conservative, then you have no brain."

  25. One thing I notice about the NDP, and it's that hypocrisy knows no bounds. On other election boards the NDP lovers were completely silent about one of their favorite topics, proportional representation, because of course, the NDP were ahead in the polls. Now they are all back on it again. When they are winning, they don't want it, but when they are losing they do want it. And that's why the NDP loses constantly, they have no moral compass.
