  1. Lol. Everyone eh? Sorry but I've seen far too much to the contrary to ever agree with this statement. Unions can be a good thing, or they can be parasitic and cause far more trouble than they are worth. Not a black and white issue.
  2. Lol. You sound like a true kool-aid drinker. From what I have seen here in BC what they are really working for is for their own betterment and self-perpetuation, and the really bad ones like the BCTF are now full-blown political organizations blathering on about supporting Palestinians instead of teachers and kids. But this is off topic. If you read back you will see that unions wouldn't have any sort of gender pay gap as seniority is the only governing factor for pay. Merit is not rewarded, and so it would be impossible for someone to argue that gender was the reason that they were being paid less for doing the same job.
  3. Beer at Rockets games is $8. At least it was last year. Haven't gone to a game this year as Rockets are abysmal. Any idea how this lawsuit is going to affect the WHL re: paying the players? Word is that it's going to make many franchises unviable. And then you have concussion lawsuits etc...
  4. I had always heard of this "gender pay gap" but had never seen it. No one I knew had ever seen it. Judging by the fact that no one is answering Brandon's challenges no one here has ever seen it either, though some doggedly want to believe that it exists. Almost like some sort of religious dogma. Until I saw the video that I posted to start this thread, I hadn't really thought or cared much because as I said I never really saw any proof that it existed. I wanted to hear what others thought of the video and what th feminist was saying. Sadly it appears that no one watched it or had any comments, and no one is bothering to try and refute her comments either. The pay gap exists, that's it. I just can't buy that. It's a really bold accusation, that seems to have little to no foundation, in North America or Europe anyway. But here's a question for you - if you believe that something is true, but have no basis whatsoever for your belief, other than what political parties you trust are telling you is true, wouldn't you want to be open to changing your mind, especially if you found out what you believe is a lie, fabricated to victimize a certain subset of voters? Doesn't it bother you to be used like that?
  5. Yeah I don't get it. I question a pretty silly statement about oil subsidies and I get twisted man-diapers in response. If you are going to make statements that are absurd, be prepared to lose the man-diapers and give some reasoned explanations.
  6. Thanks for giving me the useless response I expected. Of course you blocked me. You just want to hear what conforms to your bias, and run away screaming from anyone who questions your unsupprtable statements. Syria. Really?
  7. So much don't know what the hell you are talking about. "Heavily subsidized "? Let me guess, now you will point me to some fake study conducted by people paid to lie to show ne that because oil companies can deduct their expenses this qualified as "subsidies". I have seen these bogus reports before and they are complete bogus nonsense.
  8. No idea what any of this has to do with the man-made climate change hypothesis? Especially Syria?
  9. Last year's Jets had a Patrik Laine that had some confidence.
  10. I don't think its "cooked up". That would be over-simplistic and disingenous. It is obvious that there were a lot of shysters that cooked up doomsday apocalyptic scenarios ( like Al Gore) who grew fat literally and their wallets fat thanks to rivers of public money being diverted straight into their pockets. The bankruptcy of Solyndra remains a huge stain on the Obama presidency.
  11. Record high compared to what? How long has mankind been keeping reliable records? How long has mankind existed?
  12. So this proves that the man-made climate change hypothesis has the exact same amount of scientific support as evolution? Really?
  13. I only caught the third but was wondering why Lemieux seemed to be double-shifting while Laine and Roslo were stapled to the bench. Ferraro mentioned Laine was having a bad game but gave no reason why.
  14. I would agree with you if you are talking about man-made climate change. The research is still very inconclusive. Evolution has much more scientific support behind it given it has been a thing for much much longer.
  15. Do you mean "man-made climate change"? Or just natural climate change?
  16. Do they both hold the same degree of scientific support? How would you measure such a thing? Evolution has been studied for 150 years. The man-made climate change idea has really only been a "thing" since Hansen started babbling about it in the 1980's. To say the amount of scientific support is "the same" seems incredibly disingenuous, purposely so in fact. To me the two theories are completely different because only one (man made climate change) can be used by politicians to control and re-distribute wealth. No one is advocating for an "evolution" tax, but politicians are sure trying to bilk people out of their hard-earned cash for the man-made climate change theory, a theory that is far from proven.
  17. Fair enough. Not sure who is rejecting evolution?
  18. You really need to let this go. I realize that you want to further the divide and throat punch people who disagree with you but you are looking like an obsessive compulsive here.

  20. Check out the American museum of natural history in New York sometime. 589 million years ago, life began on earth. Three and a half billion years Earth is a life-less rock like Mars, and then boom! Life begins. How? Why? No one has answered these questions. Evolution can tell us how we got here, but it can't answer why we are here. I'm not sure why evolution and the man-made climate change hypothesis always get mentioned together. Makes no sense to me, other than certain people like to make fun of others' religious beliefs, which just serves to further the divide.
  21. Jordan Peterson talks in his videos about coaching lawyers at law firms to be more assertive. And he's increased their pay substantially. But he says it's not a gender thing. It's an agreeability thing. Agreeable men get paid less than assertive women in the same jobs too. Agreeability is much more of a pay inhibitor than gender. In a unionized environment where seniority is everything and nothing else really matters, you wouldn't see a gap. Assertiveness is irrelevant. Bob makes more because he's been working for 29 years. Or at least employed anyway.
  22. And I agree with Jordan Peterson. Who agrees with wiki. The tiny gap right at the top has to do with assertiveness and agreeability.
  23. Oh ok. So when you propose violence it should be "all in good fun", yet if I post a video the views of the person in the video reflect my entire character and who I am. Good grief that's so ridiculous I don't know where to start. That video shouldn't have been posted. My bad. Still think that no one wins when "throat punching" is presented as the main response. There should be a middle ground. I didn't say that Mark Dice video questioned a societal truth. I said that this thread does that. The one questioning the existence of a gender pay gap. You are bright enough to have understood that. I don't understand how this is a "leftist position". To me it's a simple "yes" or "no". Politics be darned. But at least you admit that it's a leftist position, and not a reality. I agree, this entire "gap" was invented by leftists, to make women feel like victims. Erroneously. Its vote-grabbing under completely false pretenses. It's part of the bigger definition of "social justice": the stubborn application of unworkable solutions to imaginary problems". As you have just stated, this is just a "leftist position", and a completely imaginary problem. Unlike the gender age gap, where women live 4 years longer than men. THAT is real. Why don't leftists have a position on that? Because men make bad victims? And as sanctimonious as this statement is, all I can say is, same right back at you. Open your mind and start to question some of the lies you have swallowed wholesale. They will only just continue to control you and your entire life views if you don't. You can do it, you have the tools.
