You opinion should be based on facts. eg. the plus, minus stats. If it isn't, prepare to be called out. In my opinion, yes, Laine could be a better two way hockey player. However, if you don't have guys with good hands around the net, you will have a team that works their tails off to earn a .500 record and usually doesn't make it past the first round of the playoffs. A team with solid scoring talent can be off their game in the first and/or second period but still come out with a win, simply because they can put the puck in the net. Over a grueling 84 game schedule, that is crucial.

I don’t think Scheer will be able to get the NDP onside & topple a Liberal minority, the way Harper could. Those connections do not appear to be there.

That kind of rhetoric can be very frustrating. People literally live in unfounded fear of right wing politics. Eg. people believe Palister could/would take away their maternity leave. No he can't - it's protected by the Labour Relations Act. The more I talk to most people about politics, the better I understand why fear - mongering works as well as it does.

I would always consider city life a necessary evil. Needing to have something to do or somewhere to go is a state of mind.

Agreed about the beef industry - there are always exceptions. But you are generalizing too much about hogs and poultry - there are definitely antibiotic free hog and poultry operations in large, enclosed facilities. This can be achieved through cleanliness and overall herd / flock immunity. Maple Leaf pays premiums for antibiotic free pork.

Oh, I could care less about that meatless burger or whatever it is. It’s their false advertising about their products. Eg. Most chickens are fed a plant based diet and for both hogs and chickens, hormones are not used. A & W makes it sound like this is unique to their products.

As a farmer, I could never eat at A & W again anyway. My stance is now most definitely permanent.
