  1. If you think Edmonton needed 6 minutes of being on the clock and two commercials to make their pick, I got a bridge to sell you. The only time these teams use the clock is when there are calls being made to/from other teams. Otherwise, they could probably bang the draft out in two-three hours.
  2. I don’t really think we need a playmaker out there. Block, find the soft spots in coverage, be sure handed and that’s all I really hope for. We’re talking about the fifth option in our offense at best here, right? Need those details more than I need a 1000 yard threat.
  3. I think a combination of Myron Mitchell and Clercius dependent on what you need out there could be a productive use of that spot
  4. Heaven forbid people actually discuss the team, right? There’s gonna be a guy like a Russell Dandy or Sy Barnett who get cut and make people wonder “were they even here?”
  5. I can’t be the only one who sees his name on the cut list as the actual confirmation he even existed who the hell was Jaylen Hall
  6. He had an ugly drop and a near fumble too
  7. I agree with this completely, I also feel like Haba is the type of player who is better off being used more sparingly. Guy could feast off coming in to rotate on a tired OL. Not so sure you’d want that type of raw player in as much against the run (yet, he’s still young as hell)
  8. I think it will be something along those lines as well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Garbutt beats out Haba
  9. I know Saskatchewan has a few receivers they’re pretty high on and they usually seem to be able to churn out some decent D-linemen but I honestly haven’t heard much in the way of hype coming from that fanbase
  10. Thank you for this scoop
  11. Lol what? Godber is 29 and Ferland is 27.
  12. I’m really hoping there’s like 12-15 before the game Friday I don’t see that at all, to be honest. I don’t think the Bombers do either. MCI is a utility player, they’re hoping he fills a role like a Kalinic. His most productive college season was significantly less productive than Oliveira‘s least productive, his career YPC is not good and he caught exactly one pass in college. I think anyone who thinks he’s here to be a running back is fooling themselves.
  13. That’s ugly. Emilus is a beast but the rest are … meh
  14. I was whelmed but I’m sure there’s something they’re seeing in practice. I liked Rivers as a signing to begin with, so if he’s coming on strong that’s great
  15. both divisions are wide open this year, imo. Especially the east.
  16. D’Abreu over Rivers is an interesting one but I’m glad they’re making decisions. D’Abreu over Rivers is an interesting one but I’m glad they’re making decisions.
  17. Kenny will be 30 by Week 4 this week, fwiw
  18. I can’t see Lawler and Schoen ever leaving now. The one year deal with Schoen was to try and sign them both together next year. Schoen gets a slight bump, Lawler takes a haircut and it all works out the same
  19. Lawler is taking a pay cut even if he puts up 2000 yards this year that window for 300k receivers is closed
  20. babe wake up, new forum tagline just dropped
  21. I don’t know the medical science behind why this may or may not have some injury risk issues tied to it, but if it doesn’t, it seems like a really good idea
  22. I think you’re overestimating how much people care. Inside the front office, in the stands, whatever. Tyreek Hill is a serial wife/child abuser, nobody cares. Adrian Peterson beat his kid, nobody cared. Hell, let’s just call it what it is locally - Kenny Lawler likes to mix his alcohol with his car keys and nobody here cares. The ability to produce trumps all in sports.
  23. Yeah, it’s honestly quite frustrating. The established guys apparently don’t need reps. The new guys all lumped into a massive group not getting enough reps. Nowhere near enough information on anyone.
  24. I don’t know, I seem to remember there were comments being made about how the grind of the longer season was an adjustment for him. That being said, you don’t get demoted for PEDs or drunk driving in Bomberland so I hate to think what he could’ve done.
  25. Also just to add on to what I was saying before in my reply to you @Jesse Are we really going to claim there’s been a competition for some of these roster spots when it comes to the guys on the back end of their careers? Have BA or Biggie even participated in training camp in the past two years? Even Jeffcoat … you could probably count the amount of times he practiced last year on two hands but at least he was effective
