Burke has to be the least inspiring head coach I can ever remember. Every coach has their issues, but hey ... at least Mike Kelly had a clue. He was just insane. Paul Lapolice? Lost the locker room but he at least spoke intelligently. Burke honestly just seems to have no clue. I wouldn't trust him to run my fantasy lineup at this point.

In all honesty, I think his Mulumba pick will turn out to be the most scrutinized. -- Watson, no argument there. -- Muamba, actually made him look smart -- Pencer, now that he's actually playing, he's showing value -- Etienne, this one will still get knocked for a while, but really him and Parker (the #2 pick) are both progressing and turning into players

Have to imagine it would be difficult to justify signing Cauchy Muamba, while drafting Edem. Now, imagine if we listened to Walters, drafted Edem, and threw our FA money at an O-Lineman... Which FA OL did you want last year?

I honestly just don't agree. I'd gladly take him over Sorensen at center, but not over Pencer at guard.

I would say Norman played decently at guard. Nothing Pencer didn't replicate last week.

So you're just assuming that because they're both good centers, they can also play guard better than Pencer and Greaves? (and I'll use the term "good" loosely on Norman)

Depth maybe, there's no way both would be starting for us. why do you say that? They're both better then the starters we employ. where would you start them?

People had input .. whether or not it was listened to is another matter entirely. I questioned why we didn't draft any o-linemen this year. I was told there weren't any worth drafting. And whoever told you that was mostly right. The only "ready" OL in this class was Brett Jones and I remember plenty of people bringing up that he was a risk because of his interest in a non-football related career path.

The only ones on that list that I'd want are Bomben, Norman and Jones. And none of them do anything to alleviate our current mess. Jones is an improvement over Sorensen but really, that's not going to make a huge difference at this point. So basically, no deal breakers for me although hindsight does show some guys we could've taken. And before anyone asks me why I wouldn't want Neufeld ... he's looked terrible for Saskatchewan this year. Not quite Boatmanesque, but close. Still a project though, he could get better.

He's had a bad injury history but I would jump on that one - he would be an instant upgrade I don't know about THAT, but he'd certainly be worth bringing in.

You were expecting a sure-fire NFLer to come in? I guess my expectations were a little more than a bar two inches off the floor. With this team, I honestly don't know what to expect anymore. Honestly, I just wish you'd do some of your own research for once before you start complaining. Not to rag on MOAB but he posted the guy's college bio with his weight listing from 2 years ago. Jones hasn't weighed sub-300 since he left college and is most recently listed as closer to 305. He's also had NFL tryouts and comes from one of the better offensive line programs in the NCAA. I don't know what you expect, did you think we were going to go out and sign Michael Oher off the street? people are so down on our o-line and the americans that have been brought in lately that they just assume the worst because that's all we've seen. Exactly.... Like what am I supposed to think Mike? We've won 8 games in a season & a half? Our OL is a sieve & I'm being kind. And what will research tell me that your post on the guy's bio didn't?? Look at the scouting report. DEVELOPMENTAL PLAYER. I like the part where you say it in all caps as if I missed it the first time. I also like the part where you take a 2012 NFL draft report and apply it as if it is entirely relevant a year later in a different league. Every player who comes from the NCAA/NFL to the CFL is a developmental player to some degree. It's all about their skill set and how quickly they adapt to the CFL game. On top of that, I also like the part where you assume that because our OL has been bad for 3 years, our NEW general manager will be unable to find quality OL players.

What blows my mind is that Boatman is SO terrible that I'd rather start Jake Thomas in his spot and yet, he still gets trotted out there every week. When Marcus Howard literally picked him up and carried him to the quarterback on a sack, I couldn't do anything but laugh. How does a guy perform that poorly and keep his job?
