we all know your stance on this even though it’s been proven wrong many a time, Jaylen Smith being the most recent example. Your belief is that this falls all on Walters, based on a bunch of experience you claim to have from way back before you were a rural town hotelier or whatever it is that you do these days, is one definite stance to take and if that’s what you believe then good for you but it’s not really what connecting the dots would tell anyone who isn’t biased one way or the other. IF Walters were directly and solely responsible for these choices, we’d be saddled with a lot of expensive backups because the talent would win out regardless of cost in camp. We’d be paying Kyrie 110k to back up Ja’Kobe Clinton and the Stanley Bryant retirement tour would be spent backing up Micah Vanterpool. Gavin Cobb would be a great locker room glue guy. But the talent doesn’t win out and you can speak into existence that our GM doesn’t bring in talent all you want but maybe you want to call back to the whole reason we found ourselves staring down the barrel of dynasty-esque levels of success in the first place. We were here in this position before and SOMEONE told our coach (not our GM) to pull his head out of his ass and use the talent instead of deferring to the incumbent. That was on O’Shea then and I truly feel like it’s on him again now.

Not that I completely disagree but Walters has … mostly done his job even if I don’t like his approach or philosophy. He’s had his fair share of whiffs but there are some talent issues I can’t even lay at his door until these guys even get a chance to play.

Like @17to85 said in another thread, if Singer and Womack aren’t good enough to replace Gavin ******* Cobb then why are they even employed by us? I don’t think replacing a guy like Cobb or Kelly is going to be the move that turns us into Grey Cup contenders but it could be the kind of move that changes (or leads to a change) culture in the locker room. It’s obvious to anyone (well, almost) that there is absolutely no accountability on this team from the top all the way down. Why should guys try on game day? They’re not playing for anything. There’s no threat to their spot on the team. There’s no coach on the sidelines that will chew them out if they don’t show up prepared or if they don’t execute. It’s no wonder that we never play a full 60 minutes. We’ve got a coach who doesn’t use all the advantages available to him because he thinks they’re silly, a general manager who is the least active in the CFL during the season and a locker room full of people who don’t really seem like they give a single ****. This might be one of the most frustrating versions of this team that I’ve ever seen, even beyond some of those Mike Kelly or Tim Burke years because this front office and coaching staff has proven they ARE capable of so much more than this, they just don’t really seem like they can be bothered.

Of course things are heated and people are upset, but let’s be realistic about where we’re all at with things. There’s a fairly large group of us … you, me, Booch, GCn, keep the list moving with the other names I’m forgetting by now … and I think it’s pretty fair to say that 99.9% of the time, we can all recognize that emotions run high sometimes, discussions get heated, words get exchanged and we’re all able to move on from it at the end of the day Then we’ve got one crayon eater who struggles to form basic sentences and can’t seem to exhibit the self awareness required to realize he spends 50% of his time on this site complaining about the way he’s treated and the other 50% of his time treating everyone else exactly the same way he’s complaining about being treated

At this point I think I’m more curious about the process than the result … not necessarily understanding the process but understanding the “why” behind it. Why is Jake Kelly our best option regardless of passport? Why is Gavin Cobb our best option regardless of passport? Why do we use so many Americans that only play special teams when we seem to exclusively draft Canadians that are only useful on special teams? Why do we continually prove ourselves unable to play 60 minutes of football? Why are we continually unprepared to start a minimum of one half of football per game? Why do Kyrie Wilson and Stanley Bryant still have starting jobs? Why is our negotiation list roughly 10% as active as most other teams? so much why

Literally not at all what I’m saying, but I’m not surprised you’re once again proving yourself to be too stupid to realize that. all I’m saying is everyone’s got a different level of tolerance for these things … if you’re just noticing it now it’s because your tolerance for it has evaporated at this point but this is not a new phenomenon … this has been our plan of attack for a couple seasons now probably going on 3 at least. The only difference is that the shine of the success has taken longer to wear off for some.

I dont mean to sound like an ******* but if you’re only agreeing now, it’s because you have either voluntarily or involuntarily been ignoring these signs for almost 3 years now This isn’t new.
