  1. I tend to think what happened is that after his phenomenal rookie year, they re-did his deal that offseason to give him a bit more cash right away in exchange for an additional season. Similar to what they did with Mo Leggett which, if I remember correctly, also went unannounced.
  2. I highly doubt the team itself reported it's own signing incorrectly.
  3. I specifically remember Darren Cameron reporting Chungh signed for two years initially. Something must've gone unreported.
  4. ... Raper ill take "least likely player to lead the league in jersey sales for $400, Alex"
  5. Riders management. By far worst in the CFL.
  6. Do we get +1 post count in clubs? I only post for the post count.
  7. Offense - Stephen Burton Defense - Jackson Jeffcoat CURSE IS APPLIED
  8. Can't make it, it's Play On weekend.
  9. It's May and the Riders look to be choosing between Kevin Glenn and Vince Young for the role of their starting quarterback this upcoming season. Happy May Long, Bomber Fans!
  10. Look at Jake Harty in Ottawa. 9 catches for 81 yards in two years as a Redblack, and he's 30 months older than Addison Richards. Ottawa isn't giving up on him. For all this talk about Richards being a third year veteran, many people forget that he's still going to be the second youngest receiver coming to our training camp this year. The only one younger is Thera-Plamondon, who isn't even being viewed as much of an option as anything other than a long snapper. He's younger than Tylor Henry, who we just drafted this year. That makes a difference. His developmental path has to be considered.
  11. Sticking up for him is a little bit different than just pointing out he shouldn't be released just because. We signed the guy to a three year deal, is it really that surprising that some people are willing to give him those three years?
  12. I'm having trouble understanding what you mean by whether he's "deserving". All I care about is whether or not he's better than the guy that he's competing with for his roster spot. If he is, keep him. If he's not, see ya later.
  13. I don't do book learnin so good
  14. Mike replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
FMB is a NFL free agent, not draft eligible next year.
  15. This is the biggest thing, in my mind. If a DB watches film, they'll see him make his break at so many different points that it's nearly impossible to cover it closely and as you said, he loses zero speed when he does it. It's such a fluid, unanticipatable (is that a word?) movement.
  16. That route by Denmark is the single best route any receiver runs in the league.
  17. No, he does not. However when we're such a thin team at CDN receiver, my opinion is that it doesn't make a lot of sense to cut a guy just because he hasn't developed quickly.
  18. But this is the CFL. Plenty of players are here based on citizenship. That's just the way the league is, you don't have to agree with it but we can't ask the Bombers to operat differently just because.
  19. Why should we cut him until someone else takes his place? To punish ourselves in order to punish him?
  20. Quite possible. They do seem to be pretty good at hunting down new defensive backs though. I guess it wouldn't be shocking they found someone they like more than Roberts. It seems like I've heard many a good thing about Roc Carmichael, maybe he's the next one for us.
  21. You have a strange habit of thinking that if Garrett has posted in a thread (or in this case, created a thread) that I participate in, I'm speaking directly in response to him. I don't look at it as I was arguing with him. I look at it as I went and shared something I knew about the topic being discussed. You need to get past this idea that everything I do is to spite, irritate or needle Garrett. It's something we need to work on.
  22. Do I have a source regarding his concussion having nothing to do with retirement? Yes. Do I have a source that Walters knew about this before the draft? No. And that's my fault for wording it in a way that made it sound like it was more than just my opinion.
  23. Surprises me. But I guess the team is pretty high on some of the new guys.
  24. I just so happen to know two things when it comes to the Waggoner thread 1) I know a concussion is not why he retired 2) I know it really irks many, many players when media, fans, public forums, Twitterheads or anybody else speculates about their health and well-being, especially as it relates to a decision like retirement I'm not asking anybody to believe me. It doesn't really matter to me one way or another. But I put that info out there for those who want to take it at face value. For the rest ... that's cool too.
