But if he has a great game and the Bombers win, does he start again next week, even if Willy is healthy? No. He doesn't .. if Willy is healthy and the team is committed to him as our starting quarterback .. you let Willy play .. he needs the reps .. he needs to learn to deal with the ups and downs of a season (not just a game) .. it's all part of his development as a starter ..

And let's be realistic .. Brohm came into the game when it was already out of hand .. there's zero pressure on him to perform .. but he also put a couple of our receivers in tough situations with his throws ..

Well that's a kick in the nuts. Anderson's biggest impact this year was injuring his brother in practice .. shame .. thought the guy had a bit of a nasty streak that we sorely need on our offensive line.

This. I don't doubt that the guy has talent .. needed to be refined and he certainly lacked as a runner in our system .. but he simply has no heart .. he quit when he faced a bit of adversity. And let's be honest, his numbers this season are more a reflection of the number of carries he's had as compared to his peers. Volume has allowed him to stay near the top of the league in rushing .. but even then .. he was steadily falling back to the pack.

This is all Marcel thinking he has a big play offence. After 3 quarters of 2 and outs again, they'll string together some 9 play drives just in time to run out of time. Complete and utter BS. I've said time and time again, this offense looks much more proficient when they are running an up tempo three minute offense .. they consistently move the chains and put pressure on opposing defenses .. I'm not sure why it takes us 57 minutes before we start to move with urgency ..

@PentonKirk Great move by the #Roughriders, though. They couldn't get Burris. Needed a veteran. No .. it really isn't though .. it's a move born out of desperation .. similar to our move to sign Bishop under Kelly .. it's all about trying to salvage part of their season .. and I'm not sure you do that with a 41 year old quarterback who hasn't played a meaningful snap of football in two years.

All a matter of keeping things in perspective .. we were *NEVER* going to address all our woes in a single season .. despite the good start .. there were always going to be rough patches along the way ..

This makes a lot more sense than Burris. I'm a big fan of Matt Nichols and I think he'll do quite well behind a strong Rider O-line. He has the tools to be successful but durability and a bit of bad luck haven't allowed him to take that next step. He'd definitely be a better passer than what they have their now and allow them to be more than a one dimensional team ..

Just because the original thread got turfed due to the road it started going down .. I'm going to ask that people try to remain on point with the discussion else this thread will also be locked and be allowed to sink slowly into obscurity.

Contacting the kicker should be instantly reviewed considering that they(punters) fake the seriousness of the hit the vast majority of the time. You'd think there was a sniper in the stands! Little known fact .. CFL Punters / Place Kickers are part of the FIFA World Players Union .. ;-)
