  1. Ah that makes sense because it is against the Bombers. I was thinking they would keep the Road/Home split at 9, but because they are playing the Bombers they essentially have 10 home games. Would have been neat to see the Argos play another team.
  2. I will absolutely try to make it to those games. I wonder if they will do a deal for Season Ticket Holders
  3. Did they elaborate on what Brown's injury was last night? I thought I heard it was a knee?
  4. I predict: The Bombers will play their most complete 3 quarters of the year, Collaros will be consistent but not remarkable. The game will be out of reach at the start of the 4th and the Bombers will let their foot off the gas. They will still win convincingly but Brown will put up super gaudy numbers which will fuel the Brown vs Collaros debate for weeks to come.
  5. There is a time line where Dru Brown is still slingin' passes to Kenny in a Bombers Jersey but that diverged after 2023 when Brown left, not in 2024 when the Bombers let Kenny walk. There were also posters on here who wanted to let Collaros walk after 2019 instead of conveying that first round pick to the Argos. I guess that one also opens up a fun what-if where a QB needy Bombers take Nathan Rourke at the tail end of the 1st round. Collaros' decline was predictable, but going from 33 TDs against 15 INT while exiting a few games early and even missing a couple of games, to throwing 14 picks before finally hitting double digit TDs on the season in week 17 is a tad more abrupt than most people expected.
  6. It's pretty easy to figure out what they were thinking... They were just wrong. Dru Brown - they had him in the building for 3 years. Either they figured he didn't have what it took to be a consistent starter or the timelines didn't match. I don't think anyone really expected Collaros to free fall as he did so immediately Janarian Grant - Too old. Picked up a injury prone designation because Buck decided to run him up the middle. The adage "better to let them go one year too early than one year too late" might apply here if it had ever been applied to anyone else. Kenny Lawler - Very expensive and kind of mercurial. The bet was between him and Schoen staying healthy and using the money you'd spend on Kenny on the rest of the roster... But the Bombers two big gets got to hang out on the 1-game until recently. Besides... Even if Kenny were here who would get the ball to him? He is looking good in part of all the deep balls he is grabbing and the Bombers are near-last in that aspect of the offense.
  7. It's a fair comment to make... you have the MOP on the team who is a running back and some QBs who seem unable to push the ball down the field yet there have been long stretches in games where you aren't getting him the ball. Probably doubly frustrating for Brady because I don't think he expected to be rolling near Labour Day with a goose egg in TDs again this year.
  8. I'm choosing to believe that the only reason they don't have 6 Safeties on the depth chart is because it doesn't fit the formatting.
  9. How long do you give him to adapt though? Dickenson started out losing 2 straight grey cups, won 1, then then didn't make it to the conference finals for 4 straight years before bottoming out and missing the playoffs last year. That is ALOT of rope.
  10. I'm not sure what the point is with Streveler anymore. Guy is barely getting forward on sneaks and obviously isn't or can't be trusted passing the ball. It would be neat if the Bombers had someone they could put in as a change of pace when Collaros is stuck doing check-downs or too busy having to pick the grass out of his face mask and no-one would have to worry about them being more than likely to pass to the other team instead of a Bomber.
  11. That Montreal player sliding into the van at about the minute mark looks like it would have hurt.
  12. Did something happen to Lofton for him to end back on the 6 game or is that a misprint?
  13. Who knows who is really to blame but they really need to figure out what is going on in the red zone. Streveler the only QB in the league with multiple red zone INTs, and with the one that Collaros has the Bombers have 50% of all red zone picks thrown this year. On a team where the offense seems to sputter more often than not, you absolutely need to have those points. Even if you just get field goals there, you are going from third last in the league for PPG, to 3rd best.
  14. PFF had him charted at 23 snaps which is why I used that number. He had 7 carries for 11 yards and they tried to swing one pass to him. Completely ineffective against a pretty mid defense against the rush. Maybe they got away from him as the game got away from the stamps but he should have been a bigger focal point
  15. Lots of Calgary receivers still showing up on their injury report. Hopefully it forces them to mess with the ratio and designations again and Mills only gets 23 snaps again
  16. Fajardo was the West nominee for MOP in 2019. Being the starting QB on the top team in the division goes a long way for that though. Some dudes just catch lightning in the bottle for that one season. Fajardo in 2019, Printers in 2004, maybe Rourke in 2022,
  17. PFF graded Willie Jefferson at 99.3 on Friday https://www.pff.com/news/cfl-highest-graded-players-week-9 Could be the highest rated game PFF has ever given out?
  18. It probably means all other viable receivers have raptured and we can expect a bunch of USports signing to play alongside him this week
  19. I'd take Philpot as well but he is on the 1 game with Alford WRs for the Stamps are Rhymes, Tevin Jones, Brooks, Erik Baldwin, Kaylen Horton and Vyshonne Janusas... 3 rookies, a 2nd year guy and then 2 vets.
  20. The West has been a blood bath for receivers so far it seems. I think BC has been relatively healthy though. Riders have lost of bunch. What Calgary trots out tonight will probably look worse than the Bombers do tomorrow. Elks are... the Elks.
  21. That game where everyone got injured and they had to stand Streveler out there at WR to have 12 guys on the field was pretty great.
  22. Someone wrap Demski in bubble wrap. By my count the rest of the receivers have about half of his career receptions when you combine them all together.. and half of those are Sterns
  23. Corcoran backed up by Cobb is diabolical when you have D Mitchell on the practice roster... that must be new or is the official depth chart messed up? They had him on the 1-game "injury" list the first 8 weeks didn't they?
  24. I was going to make a joke earlier today about Cooley being added onto roster instead of Mitchell but I had figured having a guy who barely caught a ball in College added to the roster as a receiver instead of a dude you signed to be a receiver to a fair amount of fanfare was TOO ridiculous
  25. Oh yeah, I just saw Lofton on the 6 game, not that he was a full participant today.
