Actually, that’s not a bad guess Salt N Peppa had a writers vocabulary. -

x2. I think Lord Keric is gonna be a forum favourite. I’m intrigued to see Adams and Woods on the field at the same time too. -

The year that gave hope to every crappy CFL season forevermore https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Montreal_Alouettes_season In the last 20 years, this ^ is the closest feeling team I can remember to this years Bombers. Again, I want to be wrong, big time. -

The Extra Point, forum offshoot of the official Bomber site. It’s like here with more generic homers, far less grammar and writing skill. -

Oh god not this again. Just saying, some people can watch and follow football obsessively for the better part of their lives and form a decently educated opinion on the subject in question.. A good bunch of us were around the game at an above rudimentary level, or were taught the game by people who were. The point that “we’re just fans” has been made. Every time I read it on here again, I’m writing another poem about Kolo. -

Tbf, they’d use the DA rule at least.. Personally, I know damn well I don’t know the X’s and O’s like a pro coach, but at times this year and last, I feel like I ( or Mike, or Booch or yourself for that matter) could put just the gameday roster together as well or better than our staff, straight up. I’ve always felt it’s not a glass half empty/half full argument so to speak. Moreso, what better place than a fan forum to theorize about how to keep water up to the brim? That’s what I think these guys have been getting at on here, and somewhat misunderstood as “negative”. There’s more nuance to it than that. -

Lol, the better part of the forum has pretty much the same ideas. This was a Booch and Mike thing like 2 years ago. The constant whining about 2 out of the 10 guys who share the same opinions is more repetitive than the points you’re complaining about. -

Buck of all people should get this quicker. They rolled him out for like 2 years straight when our oline was hot trash. Get him in the army reserves and teach him to long snap. He could be a young Damian Jackson if he plays his card right. -

I think the regular callers get priority from whichever CJOB intern answers the phones, OB demographic skews hard boomer or older. Not sure how can I say this respectfully but that generation tends to ask dumb questions/natter on about dumb ****. -

Yeah that’s kind of the point I was trying to make. If Osh likes his guys fine, but who’s in charge here? Bolded part is exactly why I believe both of them wear this decline to an extent, if not equally. -

We used to. As much as we don’t get the 2019 GC without the Collaros trade, I don’t think we see it without bringing in Nick Taylor and Mercy Maston either. I think they buggered the cap the last 2-3 years, they haven’t brought anyone helpful in mid-season since 2022, coincidentally when they signed Zach to that huge deal. We’re in the trap that the 2000s Bombers fell into. Paying 5-6 guys the lions share, too many of whom are past their prime. We also have a lot of guys that have slipped into C/D grade players due to age that are still getting B+ roles/money. Your Thomas‘, your a Neufelds and the like. That’s not how a football team with a salary cap should be built at this point. You can’t have both those scenarios simultaneously and win games. We don’t know who has input into what exactly, and MOS had been the lightning rod, but he and Walters wear this equally now imo. -

Who takes that WIL spot if Kyrie can’t go? Cole moves over and Kramdi starts? How are they gonna run a 30 front there? Gauthier/Biggie/Kramdi/Cole? I’ll never get over them cutting Tre Thomas. Another of my dying hills -

I get what you’re saying but a 300 pound dude who doesn’t do it all the time, as well as one of the only good interior DL on the roster right now is a bit different. -

Agree with this. It should have been Brady and a rookie American to spell him. If the American kid performs better, move forward in the off-season. -

Bingo. Our guy Tre Thomas was a perfect example of this. The guy was making plays against the 1’s. Jake Kelly too, although currently 6-Gamed, but I think he has way more upside than Kramdi, or BA even. The Stamps isolated him 1v1 against Marken Michel, looking for an easy deep shot and Kelly smacked down a jump ball. All he’s done is make plays and big ST tackles in every opportunity. -

I’m wondering this too. On one side, Walters and the scouts have brought in some visibly quality players that didn’t/haven’t seen the field, either enough or at all, for reasons we’ve all talked about. Eli in particular I don’t think was brought in to sit on the bench for 4 years. Same with Miles Fox last year. I’ll bet Osh sits Wallace for 3 years too. I would speculate a measure of frustration in the front office. Flip side, I mean, some of the deals Walters made with veteran players appear to be just as clueless as we accuse MOS of being. -
They ran that again in the Grey Cup the next year and he hit a dime in between 2 defenders. Watch the TD to J Peterman at 3:03, and the pass to Augustine at 4:47 (which is the same play they ran to Harris) The accuracy’s there. The arm strength is there. Mobility’s obviously there. The only thing he has left to prove is consistent decision-making in the pocket, which he hasn’t had the opportunity to do.

Now that you mention it, O’Shea is kind of like a friendly Canadian version of Belichick in pressers. (Totally off topic- the book “Belichick” by Ian O’Connor was a tremendous read, I’d highly recommend it if you like sports bios)
