  1. Hockey in the summertime is ridiculous
  2. Biggies past it for sure, but tbh I didn’t think he had a bad game. I’d rather him in the middle than Kyrie, if it’s gotta be one or the other.
  3. 100% I’m gonna go the rest of my life pissed about them not getting 4 straight and it sucks. I don’t wanna say it, but part of 21 hurts too in that there’s always gonna be that asterisk for the Covid year. As it all ages, the 2019 playoff run was the really special one for me, the one I’ll tell my grandchildren about. The one I’ll talk about the way my Dad talks about 1984.
  4. Nothing that I know of. Tre Thomas was my TC favourite, as I posted a million times. Upshaw is probably more needed right now. Love to see either/or back. Probably wishful thinking.
  5. Didn’t hear one way or another how bad Fox injury was, or even see what happened. If he’s out long term, a 30 front of Willie/Woods/Adams wouldn’t be bad in itself but they’d still have to bring someone in.
  6. If it weren’t for my kid, me too. I’ve gotten better but my weekends (and more) went as the Bombers did for much longer than I’d care to admit. Even then, dammed if 22 and 23 didn’t hurt just as much as 2001 and 2007 did. Quite honestly lot of the mean stuff I say about the team in-game is just residual heartbreak from us getting robbed of the true dynasty I’d been waiting and hoping my entire life for.
  7. Yeah, JY uses a lot of 30 front. I actually like a lot of the looks on D, even if it’s by necessity due to injuries/personnel When they’ve blitzed it’s (so far) been less telegraphed than under Hall. Granted the lack of Offence, rookies gelling, injuries, I have no major beef with the defensive performance overall. Room for improvement but the amount of points they’ve given up is more than good enough to win games with even borderline competent O and ST.
  8. I hope they can get Garbutt off the 6 game early because frankly he’s starting to turn into a bit of a white buffalo. Lotta guys made the club from the tub this year. If he’s staying the full 6, you’re right they need an airlift already. Silver lining, I’m pretty sure Hubert already offers more than Anthony Bennett did.
  9. The massive stadium makes it look even worse. I went to a game in 09 there with over 30k and it looked empty, this is like the western big O now.
  10. The home game against Edmonton on a Monday night after 9/11 was one of the best I’ve seen in my lifetime. Iirc it wasn’t even televised. It does feel that way, with a little 95/96 mixed in. I have a vivid memory of going to the ‘95 home opener and my Dad telling me “Look, I don’t want you to get upset but the Bombers aren’t going to be very good this year, and the games are going to be very different”
  11. With everything else going on with the team, please don’t make us think about 2001. Thinking about Fleming driving Khari into the turf still hurts all these years later
  12. I enjoy your posts, but this simply isn’t true. Speaking for myself, I’d love it if the team went on a huge heater and everyone mocked me for being overly critical. For real, I genuinely want to be wrong about this.
  13. My Dad and Aunties too. The Bomber diehards run deep.
  14. I work with a bunch of 20-25 year olds, it’s nice to come on here and still be the young guy ngl Just one of those weird dudes about football history…my old man had the 85-93 CFL Facts figures n records in the shitter for my entire childhood hahahaha
  15. Mine is 1. Roster/Interior OL choices 2. O’Sheas stagnancy. 3. The QB situation at the moment. 4. Letting Dakota Proukop throw that ******* godamn bloody pass in the 2022 grey cup still and forever. Not bad considering I was born in 87 hahaha
  16. I see it as the C being the main weakness too. Everything in football starts from the middle, and I’ve just seen dude knocked on his ass so many times in so many games when the other linemen were getting it done. I just can’t see how a proper center wouldn’t make the line look 100x better.
  17. That’s an interesting choice for sure. He did play for Cal..
  18. Ideally next week, I’d like to see Wilson/Mitchell/ plus either Kolo/Neufeld off (if they insist on 7 OL) and Johnson/Clercius/Vanterpool on. I’d rip the bandaid off right now and have the OL Bryant/Dobson/Eli/Wallace/Lofton with Vanterpool as the 6th and one of the 2 crappers as 7th. If an OL goes down, Vanterpool goes in and Clercius comes in for an American receiver.
  19. If they did it midseason it would be Richie Hall taking over anyway most likely, which would be completely pointless. I’ve seen exactly one in-season coaching change work in the CFL and that’s because BC’s coach bailed 6 weeks into a season, not even a firing.
  20. I don’t think the casuals have it figured out yet, but if/when they come out like this against the Lions, oh man.. BC and Sask get the drinking crowd more riled up and the stadium can get ugly quick when we lose to them.
  21. MacSymic, Brent Monson, Calvillo are probably the next crop of assistants to get HC interviews. Jordan Younger too if the D does well enough this year. To be clear though I think firing a coach midseason is almost always foolish, I’m strictly talking next year if things continue to go bad.
  22. Couture to an extent yeah. Desarlais wanted to live with his g/f in Ottawa because she’s getting a medical degree there, that one’s a bit more forgivable.
  23. Yup, they fiddle ****** around with the PR usage for over 2 years, longer really. Case in point- Tavares Harrison, (insert random American OL), Ali Baba Mourtada and the 40 jobbers. Kelvin McKnight. This is going back to 2021.
  24. Maybe because I saw it live but to me it was the 2022 loss in Hamilton. He got absolutely destroyed like 5 times that game. The first time as a Bomber that he got just beat to ****. He was a little awry for the rest of 22. 23, I don’t think it was the BC game. He bounced back nicely and shredded them a few weeks later. To me, it was getting demolished by Ceresna in the Edmonton game, he was never quite as sharp afterward. These things compound. Especially a QB with a history of head injuries, those incidents must add up to his comfort level in the pocket.
  25. True, but Osh himself has gone full circle it seems.
