  1. since 2012 we have 70 games where we were trailing after the 3rd quarter... our record for those 70 games are 10-60... 10 wins... that's all... for the Nichols era: 2015: 1-10 2016: 1-6 2017: 1-4 2018: 0-5
  2. yeah, you got the point I was making... and yes, I agree with your last statment as well... Streveler, or Collaros would have won just as many of those games... we're on the same page now... l don't think that it's a giant leap to believe that if I were a QB in the CFL this year that playing 7 of 9 games against the likes of Ottawa, BC, Tornoto, and Edmonton would be s simplier path to 7 wins than playing Calgary, SSK, Montreal, and Hamilton, wouldn't you?
  3. it was a lot better than watching grown men trying to dance to some stupid, whatever it is they are doing or trying to do, most of the time, lol...
  4. would have, should have been 6-3 anyway... had the LDC wrapped up and then the give away at Montreal... not to mention that we scored enough pts in the second Calgary game that we probably should have won that one as well...
  5. anybody know what airlines fly into Regina? hopefully I wouldn't have to sit in the back of a 2 seater, open cockpit, crop duster and land on a grass run way to get there... it's a bit chilly out...
  6. gotta love the little taunt at the end before he crosses the goal line..
  7. did I say he had no part in it? I think it was quite clear from the narrative that he was involved in all of those games... that was never in question... quite the opposite, actually...
  8. yeah, we'll leave out the part about how 7 of the 9 games (6 of his 7 wins) he played this year were against 4 teams that finished as the bottom 2 teams in each division, or that none of those 4 teams finished over .500 (the best was Edmonton who was 8-10, then BC 5-13, TOR 4-14, OTT 3-15), and those 4 teams finished 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th in points scored this year, or that 3 of the 4 (with a combined record of 12-42) were eliminated from post season play half way thru the season... the rest of the season included 8 of 9 games against the 4 teams that finished 1 and 2 in each division and had a combined record of 50-22 as opposed to 20-52 like the teams Nichols played... we'll keep that as our secret... but yeah, he really smoked them this year... lol...
  9. you're right, I didn't think of it like that... Harris' play call is so predictable even us fans can tell you at almost any given time, or down and distance, if it will be Harris that gets the call and what the play will be... there is a reason why, out side of that one 13 yd run, that he averaged less than 3 yds a carry the other day...
  10. I think you're right... I really liked Tebow and thought that maybe he was given up on a little early but that is probably because I thought he was a good person and was rooting for him too, though...
  11. he's not NFL material, he doesn't bring enough to the table for someone to sign him for gadget type plays... much like Tebow, his best bet to make an NFL team would be to switch positions, and I still don't see it happening... don't get me wrong, I love me some Streveler but the NFL has already taken a peek and it was a hard pass by all...
  12. ummmm... no.... just no...
  13. they really started to look good again... but there was a stretch when it was just a bit more than spooky... but you'd have to say that Collaros has had plenty of time to work the offense since he's came on board...
  14. it's amazing how fast one can be when they just run in a straight line... but geez, they opened a hole for him and he instantly saw it and was gone... I thought that he may have gotten a penalty for taunting like he was while crossing the goal line... do they do that in the CFL, the taunting penalty? lol... but I said here, during the game, that despite that incredible run, all the while Harris being shut down in the running game, Demski wouldn't get his number called again all game long... and I was right... I hate Lapo...
  15. and I think you could sell Streve on the notion that he needs to really elevate his passing game in order to become a true starting QB1 and keep him signed in Winnipeg... get him on a new 2 or 3 year deal and with the expectation that if he progresses the team should be his by then...
  16. Magic 8 Ball says 'affirmative'
  17. this is where our interests should be if we're going to pursue a QB...
  18. thx! it was a labor of love... it was a complete frame off restoration... well I call it a restoration but it's all modern technology... tilt, cruise, power windows, locks, push to start, 4 wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, coil over shocks on all four corners, etc... here's a link to some more photos, and my other hobby, I design and build hand made wooden gear clocks, if you're interested... link to the Chevelle build
  19. hey! it's 66 here... I've already spilled my back story of who, why, and where in a thread in the discussion forum when I first joined a couple of months ago... but I always read people's user names and wonder what they mean or why they choose what they did... doesn't consume me or cost me a lot of consternation, just curious... well my user name comes from my baby and prized possession that I actually built myself, my 66 Chevelle... spent a little over 2 years and a butt load of money building her but I love her... she has a 700 hp, 540 cubic inch big block Chevrolet engine in her and can be a hand full at times, much like myself... however, she does have a Canadian sister, the Beaumount which was built and sold in Canada at your local pontiac dealerships, but I digress... so, without further hesitation and for your viewing pleasure, I give you 'the' 66 Chevelle...
  20. it is acknowledged... in the form of a pay check... after all, that's what he was employed to do... I'd bet cash money that on the job description he was handed when applying for the position that it said that there was an 'expectation to perform at a high level, a level that would be capable of winning playoff games" or something to that effect... no, I'm not going to thank or apologize because he had a good game, especially when there were many times through out the year that he failed to meet an 'acceptable' level...
  21. IF we had to settle for Nichols again next season, it would make a huge difference if we have a new OC... Nichols, with the right game plan, can be a very effective QB, one capable of winning playoff games... under Lapo there seems to be an underlying hint of Lapo not trusting Nichols as evident by the play calling and the apparent need to constantly have Harris on the wing to dump the ball off to... honestly feel that the offense would be better served by Harris staying around the pocket and blocking instead of bailing and waiting on the dump pass... sure, he's open, and there is a reason why... the whole defense is in front of him, he's 3 yds behind the LOS and in most cases the defense is less than 5 yds from the LOS... they'll give up 2 or 3 yds by allowing that completion... much better for them to pressure Nichols and get him to bail on the vertical, down field game and pass the ball to Harris for meaningless yds... because when it's 2nd and 8, a pass completion for 2 yards, while great for your stat line, still equals punt... there is a reason why a QB can have the fewest throwing yards in the league but have the high QB efficiency rating... fewest INTs... best TD to INT ratio... but you're probably going to lose more games than your peers...
