  1. damn, you know you're a small town when they don't even bother to count you! lol... "As far as we can tell, Beaconia has not been included in past StatCan census counts, so there is no population information for this community."
  2. I live in a town of 4000 (my cousin is the mayor) and the closet city/town that is bigger is over 20 miles away... while we don't have a Dollarama, we do have a Dollar General! so, if you all want to talk about living in a place with limited opportunities I'd say that I probably have you all beat, lol...
  3. I believe that you make your own luck... and I've found that the harder I work, the luckier I get...
  4. I'm a big McLaren fan, was looking at one last summer but ultimately decided to pass... just couldn't let go of that much money for transportation, I spent enough on the Chevelle as it was...
  5. wow, now he's winning games that he didn't even play in! that's pretty remarkable! lol...
  6. I think he is actually a closet Bomber fan, lol... as for O'Shea... I had already come to the conclusion that it was going to get worked out and he would be retained... given the coaching landscape, it's not necessarily a bad thing... my only issue is that knowing how MOS is that it probably means that Lapo and Hall will also be retained if they want to stay as well... while Hall has looked 'ok' during the playoffs, Lapo has shown tell tale signs of what we have seen regularly in the past... I don't think that Hall has all of a sudden figured out how to get it done either, but we'll see... I would also assume we can plan on a return of Nichols as QB1 as well...
  7. I agree, I think everyone was given a chance to be a part of the forum and were treated like they all had been long time members here... even the few comments that could have been construed as negative, those in reference to the TEP forum in general, were not mean spirited, more a honest opinion of how that member felt about the differences between here and there... I felt it warranted a thread of it's own to say that it hadn't gone un-noticed and the hospitality exhibited was more than appreciated... I can't speak for the rest of the TEP members, but, I have no plans on ditching MBB as I really enjoy being a member here... the membership has proven to be 'men of their word' as you can take almost any legit stand that you like as long as you have narrative to support your position, which is cool... people shouldn't have a problem with being held accountable for what they say... so, thanks again and I'll be seeing you regularly, lol...
  8. at least it's something new... lol...

  11. I can only take credit for repeating it, the real credit goes to my friend blue_or_die for coming up with it... lol
  12. no, I said that there isn't a team that wouldn't sign them... meaning that if given the chance every team would be standing in line to get them...
  13. ACL tears are not the crippler that they were in years past... it's not uncommon at all to have that injury and come back unaffected, performance wise... I'm much more concerned with head injuries and shoulder issues...
  14. look no further than the Calgary stable of receivers in regards to drops... they dropped so many balls in the last 2 games that we played them and I would bet cash money there isn't a team in the league that wouldn't sign the lot of them tomorrow if given the chance... we tend to remember the bad more so than the good at times... Darvin has dropped too many balls I will admit, some were hard catches, some not so hard... but, he seems to come through when needed, and that's worth something...
  15. I'm not sure that 'thin ice' was the right term but you have to believe that there was at least conversation about moving forward from the front office... after 6 years and limited success to the ultimate goal had to be talked about as a head coach's performance will ultimately reflect upon those that hired him and retain him... with that being said, MOS took care of business, regardless of the outcome this weekend, and he'll be in Winnipeg if he wants as long as the dollars make sense to both parties...
  16. and what? direct snap to Harris? lol... gotta have 'somebody'...
  17. oh the memes... had forgotten about their love affair with the memes...
  18. I tried Reddit as well... wasn't my cup of tea as... I was actually surprised as to the limited activity in the CFL sub... mostly it was just posting of links to articles...
  19. there is a lot of moving parts in this equation for next year and the events that we've witnessed has only muddied the water, in my opinion... for starters, I believe Collaros takes his playoff bonus check and politely goes his own way, i.e. back to Toronto... Nichols will show his hand and desire to stay in Winnipeg by the amount of money he asks for with his new contract... they may very well be a 'sweet spot' in the numbers that would convince Walters that he is the way to go... we all know that O'Shea would be all for it... Nichols being a 'bargain' is the only way I see him realistically staying in Winnipeg... it may come down to a situation where he is offered a take or leave contract that he may just have to take if all other slots are full... I think we'd consider Masoli, but, I don't think he'd be interested in playing for the Bombers in Lapo's system, but... as much as I thought that Lapo kind of blindly drove us through the last game, I was a little shocked as to the number of times Lapo let Collaros go deep... if Lapo would quit drinking his own kool aid maybe he could become the genius everyone else thinks he is... I still don't understand his use of personnel though, including WRs... some of the routes he had Darvin running has to make you wonder what he's thinking... best case scenario would be that Lapo moves on and the change brings hope in the form of a new QB... I think that Streveler knows where he is relative to being ready to actually be a QB1... I think it will be easy to sign him with the idea that he would have a more prominent role in the offense while growing his own skill sets to one day becoming a real QB1... I also think that he and Nichols are pretty chumy and if Nichols does leave it could upset the chemistry we currently have between the two and influence his decision somewhat... but in the end, I think it will all be determined more out of necessity than desire as the first domino that falls will more than likely dictate how the rest of them topple... hopefully that first one goes early so we can begin some sort of strategy to make the best team we can... as far as coaches, I think it will boil down to whether or not they want to continue being here as management will be willing to extent them based upon playoff results alone...
  20. it might have been, I didn't have my CFL 2.0 tour schedule handy when I posted...
  21. because Ambrosie was too busy in India promoting CFL 2.0...
  22. for an OC that never seems to go back to what is working, he sure went to the well way too many times with the Streveler run call... there was absolutely no surprise as to what was going to happen... obvious as all hell...
