Reggie White accepted a practice roster spot on one condition, that he be released after a week if he was still on it. One week passed and then he was gone That means he wasn't willing to sit around and wait for an opportunity that may have never presented itself.

You saw the game, at least he put an honest effort, can't say that for the majority of the team. And yes it was sad how unprepared and unmotivated the team was.
