Ep 24: Beer, Bombers & Ball LIVE at Brazen Hall!
SpeedFlex27 replied to Zach Schnitzer's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When I'm at the next Bomber game. I have a Flex Pack. Live in Calgary. I haven't picked my games yet as my wife's dumbass management won't approve holidays for the next year until mid April. Some people have been waiting since January for approval. What a shitty way to treat employees. Ah, time for a Whiskey & Coke. -
"Wait a minute. I'd have done that."

The sad part is nothing will happen to Putin. He'll be treated like a statesman once this war ends. Especially by the GOP in the US. Unfortunately, you'll be waiting a long time.

Lol!!! I stopped drinking beer many years before I ever drove a school bus. Always sober, I may add. -

I agree but the problem with the CFL is the people that have caused all the problems are the ones put in charge to fix it. Which they can't do. Someone like Victor Cui should be running this league & Randy Ambrosie should be a team president, at best. The wrong people are in place. -

Having grown up with **** beer like Molson Canadian starting in the early 70's, I'm all for promoting local craft beer & food with the Bombers & Jets. Back then, we only had a few choices like Canadian, Blue, Pilsener & a couple others. Of all those to me, Labatt's Blue was the superior beer. Labatt's was a major Bomber sponsor back then. There's a rwason why I stopped drinking beer decades ago & just drink hard stuff now. -
2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition

I think based on the empty seats in every city when there's a CFL game, Lalji's response might be, "Why not??" People aren't coming out to watch anyway. -
Randy Ambrosie has informed the CFLPA that the bargaining committee for the owners are taking a 3 1/2 week Easter break starting today. Ambrosie is very excited as he's going on an extensive Value Village scarf hunt in major US cities. CFLPA President Solomon Elimimian says he's both shocked & disappointed with the owner's decison to stall CBA talks for nearly a month with training camp fast approaching. When told of Elimimian's comments, Ambrosie responded with a hearty, "Yeeeeee haaaaaa!!!" They'll get back to work April 26th.

No need for stuff like that. Stay home & get drunk watching the game where no one gets hurt. -

Can someone tell us out of towners about this Hogan dude as the story is behind the FP paywall. I've never heard of him. -
Are you serious or joking? What has Bud Grant have to do with it? Just recognizing the impact Darryl Patterson has had with the team as a player & now a coach.
-
Who is your favourite Blue Bomber. Post a pic. Name & number. Dave Raimey: It's too bad he left under bad circumstances thanks to the asshat GM we had at the time, Earl Lunsford.
-
How can Darrell Patterson be overlooked? And he's also our DL Coach!! Two Grey Cup rings with us. One as a player in 1984 & last season as an assistant coach. This guy is a Bomber through & through.

Population mainly. The talent pool down there is larger. For every one good OL we produce, there are 30 that are as good or better in the US. We do have talented linemen yes but they want to play in the NFL. Some make their way back here but it takes years. Others play their entire career in the NFL & we never see them. The ones that stay here take a long time to develop as they can't block guys like Jefferson. Yet teams keep stubbornly trying to slot them in like a round peg in a square hole because of that damned ratio. The CFL would be much better served if they developed more Canadians to be starting linebackers, receivers & backs. Amazing how we could have stars back in the 60's. 70's & 80's like Gerry James, Joe Pop, Ken Nielsen, Jerry Campbell. Tom Forzani, Bob LaRose, Pete Ribbins, Steve Molnar, Rob McLaren, Joe Forzani, Bob Toogood, Larry Wruck, Doug Strong, Neal Beaumont, Gordie Rowland, Ed Learn, Larry Robinson & others but now Canadians don't play certain positions anymore because coaches want to slot in inferior Canadians on the OL so they don't have to play them anywhere else & Americans have taken over. Fans & media are wondering what's happened to the offense?? C'mon. Sorry if I'm preaching but it's frustrating that the CFL play guys they shouldn't play as starters & overpays a lot of them. Some Canadians do a great job blocking & deserve to be paid but the number of real quality linemen isn't much. Luckily, we have a few on our OL now. But just remember what we went through from 2012 to 2016.

Hood was a pretty good receiver but he had a hard time fitting in with the all stars around him catching the ball at the time.
