  1. Arbitrary as in travellers just like us who can't travel without proof of vaccination? Eli IS selfish. Hope he enjoys the game on tv. Players like ELi will have trouble playing in the CFL. As Stamps GM John Hufnagel said last week, he has no interest signing any player who can only play home games.
  2. He's there to do daily reports. However, Bob could do that in his sleep. Watching the Bombers win the GC will be a great sendoff for him.
  3. If Eli played for Edmonton or Ottawa, I could see (kinda) why he wouldn't want to get vaccinated. But why would he sacrifice playing in the Grey Cup & celebrating with his teammates if they win? He knew there was a very good chance the Bombewrs would make it. When he's my age, he'll have regrets. Especially if he never makes it back. He's still selfish, BTW.
  4. I just don't get why we let unvaccinated players play when they can't travel. Good thing we have Gray ready to go. He can play guard or tackle. Hope he enjoys watching the game on television & not getting paid if we win. To me, it's just toal selfishness & not a team player.
  5. When LaPo is inevitably fired & he will be I just hope he never comes back here.
  6. Meanwhile, Jake Maier will be a free agent. So will Jeremiah Massoli & Dane Evans. Matthew Schilz in Montreal. Why wait to free agency to see who is available but ready to annoint Streveler the starter? Nathan Rourke in BC. The RedBlacks haven't even hired a GM who may have other ideas. Meanwhile, why not just throw Caleb Evans under the bus?? He at least made the RedBlacks competitive. Thank you very much Caleb but we'll be going in a different direction. I'll say it again & I'll keep saying it, LaPo being Lapo.
  7. CFL contracts aren't guaranteed. LaPo being LaPo.
  8. WTH was Murphy doing & why was he there in the first place?
  9. Now that would be a great discussion.
  10. I watched the game from midway thru the second quarter to the end of the game listening to Bob Irving instead of the natterings of Glen Suitor who I could tell was cheering for the Riders. It was a nice break for a change. Irving is amazing as a pbp broadcaster.
  11. No, with the pandemic they kept it at the stadium capacity.
  12. I watched the game from Calgary & turned off the volume on the television. I listened to Bob Irving & Doug Brown on CJOB on my laptop.
  13. I'll never forget that loss but DAMN, today's win feels real, real good!!!
  14. Always. It took us years to build that OL that we have. That Lawler catch was freaking amazing!!
  15. Fajardo bitched about everything. Leaders lead by example. They don't push teammates over a cliff.
  16. You need great qbs to win, bottom line. You can have all the pieces in place but if you have a shitty qb you lose.
  17. Steve, you lost. All I know is tomorrow you'll wake up. You'll still be in Regina & we won't. It'll be cold. To make it even colder, you'll remember your team's season is over, Ours isn't. You'll be sad & no one here will care.
  18. Okay, as we beat the Riders today in the first Western Final played here in 49 years having lost the Final in 1972 to the same stubble jumper team from Regina, we can now proclaim that the ghosts of that game have been officially exorcised.
  19. Twenty years from now people will just remember we won.
  20. I don't think bad weather helps the Riders. They'd rather throw the ball then run. Powell is a good but not great back. We have a 3 headed monster at running back & a dominant OL so I think we may have the advantage.
  21. No, it was the only place where there was heat & I was frozen. Should have said thaw out.
  22. The 1970 Western Final was colder. Check it out on You Tube.
  23. That was in 1993. I was at that game. All week long, temps in Calgary were plus 5 to 10. Then a cold front swept thru with snow & lots of wind late Saturday night thru Sunday. The temp dropped to the minus 20's by game time & windchill minus 35. I spent halftime & a bit of the 3rd quarter with a hundred other frozen guys crammed in the washroom at McMahon Stadium where there was heat trying to unthaw. It was brutal watching or playing that game as the wind was horrendous. The heater on the Stamps sideline malfunctioned. They had no heat. However, they kept the heater on at the Eskimo sideline & their players had a huge advantage, I think the rules have now changed meaning if the heater on one sideline doesn't work the other team has to turn theirs off. The next week it was plus 10 for the Grey Cup in Calgary. I hope conditions at IG Field aren't like they were in Calgary for the WDF tomorrow.
