The way the really big men can run & move now the athleticism is off the charts. We need to get bigger physically in the middle & give relief to the two Jeffs. I just hope Walters makes replenishing our defense a priority. With Schoen & Oliveira eating up a ton of cap money that may be tough. Unless, we unload some aging & expensive veterans.

The biggest thing holding the CFL back are the people that run the show in the HO. Short sighted & unintended consequences. It took years for Walters to build up an organization like the Bombers & only a year or so for Ambrosie to destroy it. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if any combination of Walters, Goveia & McManus had to leave because of that cap. Now with Buck coming back, we somehow dodged a bullet.

Even Walters is acknowledging that (age) is becoming an issue with them being more expensive as well as injury issues & may overrule Osh on some players by not re-signing them. That will free up money for some new blood as well as Oliveira & Schoen. It's freaking time to shake up the core.

An inexperienced OC in Mueller. The Stamps offense was very putrid last season. It just keeps getting better & better.

Has it been made official? If I was a Rider fan, I'd be underwhelmed as the team didn't get its first choice in Buck, it seems. Nothing the Riders & their fans want more than to screw over the Bombers & let's face it. The hiring of Buck would have done just that. He'd have brought a couple of assistants & high profile Bomber free agents with him. Corey Mace is a relatively inexperienced DC. Only been at the job for 2 seasons after a couple of years as DL Coach in Calgary. He was fed great players to coach in Toronto defensively as they always have big signings as free agents as the salary cap means nothing to that team because the league seemingly always looks away. We'll see how Mace does with a team bereft of talent with a horrible culture of failure & "Me First" player attitudes. In an organization that doesn't have a silver spoon in its mouth like the Argos have. I don't know if Mace is ready. I suspect that he isn't. Glad it's Mace. He's gonna need a miracle to fix the Riders.

I don't know what defense you watched but we played soft zone all year. In the GC when we needed a stop in the worst possible way we didn't get it. We played passive in the secondary. We got no push on the opposing qbs we played. There's no comaparison to the level we played in 2021 compared to the last 2 seasons. Stats can be interpreted in many ways. One of the many reasons we led in defensive stats is our offense. We;d grind out wins with 13 play drives. Defense wasn't ewven on the field as the offense was taking care of business. Our O was hampered by playing two injured receivers who never should have seen the field

So, moral & ethics mean nothing. Nice to know, Perry has always been a POS as a human being anyway. He's just cementing his legacy as a douchebag.

If we improve the Front 7 just watch how much better the Back 5 play. Right now, the Front 7 isn't good enough.

If we hadn't signed Walters, yes. He would have been in charge. Maybe seeing what MOS did with the roster during the GC made it important for Miller to sign Walters to protect O'Shea from himself.
