  1. I'd hate to have that yoke around my neck. He'll have a lot to live up to.. Which isn't always a good thing.
  2. I remember that. Anyone remember this, "Parents, where are your children?"
  3. I have nothing against the man but Rider Nation has put this guy up on a pedestal when he hasn't proven he can effectively call plays.
  4. Mueller was fired as an OC in Calgary. And Ryan's talking about him like he is some kind of an offensive guru.
  5. He must be sucking up to get a coaching position. I mean, really???? The greatest coach ever????
  6. Wow, that's some serious drinking Jon Ryan's been doing. He's bagged.
  7. Too bad our defense couldn't have done that this year but it's Collaros fault we lost. Instead, we play Cover Zero & blitz on the goal line. Great strategy by an over the hill DC.
  8. laine scored the majority of goals with the Jets, He's been lost in Columbus since he got there. He might respond positively coming back here now that Wheeler is gone. as a fan, I'd be open to that.
  9. I watched the 1957 NFL Championship in full on YouTube last week. It's hard to believe the Detroit Lions haven't won an NFL Championship or Super Bowl in 66 seasons. The Lions took it to the Cleveland Browns 59-14 in that game. QB Tobin Rote threw 4 td passes that game. Rote would eventually make it up to the CFL in 1960 & played two seasons for the Argos setting all kinds of CFL & Argos passing records. He'd leave after the 1961 season & sign with the AFL's san Diego Chargers. He'd finish his career in 1963 with the Chargers.
  10. The RedBlacks didn't want to spend any money on the HC position. And still don't even though it's obvious Bob Dyce isn't the answer. So, as an organization you get the results you pay for.
  11. Sounds like exactly what the RedBlacks would do. They'll destroy him like they destroyed Dustin Crum... The RedBlacks, where qbs careers go to die.
  12. Drew Tate was supposed to be the replacement for Burris. Hank sealed his fate when he told a reporter after the semi final loss in 2010 that he would never play behind Tate. Obviously, Burris didn't respect Tate. Huff wasn't happy with Burris & traded him to Hamilton. Then, next training camp, the second for Mitchell he totally outplayed Tate & took the starter spot from him Tate was a fool anyway. Completely goofy. I don't think the vets on the Stamps trusted in him as a leader seeing the way he acted on the field. Pointing fingers, screaming & calling out teammates. Tate dressed down an OL on the field in front of 30,000 people at McMahon Stadium after a sack. He was a young player & the guy looked totally crushed. I was at that game & It looked really bad which reflected negatively on Tate. The fans were booing him for doing what he did. His teammates probably had as much to do with Tate not being the long term starter as the play of Mitchell did.
  13. Dalton Schoen has to be priority #1 for the Bombers. Not Brown. It'll be interesting to see where the money goes & to which veteran players. .
  14. The thing with Maier is that it's the offense he plays & the system they use. The Stamps OC want to spread the ball around so you see guys running a lot of short & intermediate routes while not stretching the field. This is going to be the Rider offense this season coming up with Mueller calling the plays. Then they have a former OL coach Pat DelMonaco calling the same kind of plays that Mueller did. Maier is stuck in a plodding offense. So, when it comes right down to it then is it the playcalling or play of the qb in question here? The answer is probably a bit of both. But these so called ball control offenses rarely win championships. I mean, we all know how good Stamps receiver Reggie Beggelton is yet for the most part he's a possession receiver in that offense. In Winnipeg he'd be going after those long contested catches & be a 1,500 or more yards receiver with the Bombers rather than a 900-1000 yard receiver that he is now with the Stamps. Yes, I agree that Mitchell was done. Everyone thought Maier would be the next great West Division qb. He wasn't even close. He may be in the future (If he loses 25 lbs) & starts being mobile. He needs a new offense to play in.
  15. The Lions look like they're a good team but I think they're still a long was from being Super Bowl contenders. They can win their division but that's about it. (Watch nme eat these words, lol).
  16. We need those guys, too. A tackling crash test dummy is good, also. That's what happens to most Canadian players. They forge their career on Special Teams.
  17. Seems to me that it was our defense that lost the game for us & not Collaros. When we needed a stop we didn't get it. One stop. If anything, it's the defense that needs changes. LIke the interior Defensive line, secondary & another MLB & OLB. The holes are on defense. Not offensively. Hall needs to go but we know that he'll be back.
  18. Wow, this Board is dumping all over Collaros demanding a change at qb. Sure sounds like Stamps fans last year who demanded they move on from Bo Levi Mitchell because Jake Maier was a shoe in to be the Next Big Thing & look what happened. The team did move on but Maier wasn't a shoe in. He led his team to a 6-12 record good for third place in the West & the right to get blown out by the Lions in the West Semi. Which they were. Now, the same fans who wanted Maier last year want to get rid of him this off season. Y'all be careful what you wish for.
  19. But Zach is our man. The Trinity says so, Noeller. The Trinity.... They are so wise. They do no wrong. You said so... many times in the past.
  20. Agreed 100%. The same posters dumping on Collaros will be the same posters dumping on Brown if he is our starting qb & struggles.
  21. I find your remarks kinda funny. Of everybody here, all we have ever seen & heard from you for years is Trust The Trinity. Trust The Trinity. Looks like you suddenly quit worshipping & kissing their feet. Seems your belief in the three isn't what you claim it is, Oh. ye of little faith. The 2025 Grey Cup is two seasons away & quite frankly, I don't care about that damned game right now. I care about 2024 just like I cared about any other season we were going into. I worry about the present & not the future down the road. If we try to build to win a Grey Cup at home in 2025 then it'll be an abysmal failure. The team is right to care about winning this coming season & not in 2025. Next season includes Zach Collaros.
  22. Well, you're not the HC or GM so clearly the Bombers won't be moving on from Zach. It's a qb wilderness out there. Do you see who's available & who we could sign to replace Zach if we traded or released him? Other than Dru Brown (who has only a little body of work as a starter) there's guys like Marcus Fine, Dane Evans, Matthew Schilz & Jake Dolegala. Throw in MBT & maybe Streveler (who isn't a starting qb) & I'll take Zach every day of the week.
