I swear they put something in the water over there that kills brain cells. Its the only explanation. So its asinine to pay the reigning MVP QB who has won back to back championships and comprised a 17-2 record $38K more than a bible salesman turned QB who has the same amount of Grey Cup championships as me?!?! Its truly hard to wrap your head around how brain dead Rider fans are.

Mechanics aside, i really think people are letting his devastating running ability and his legendary Grey Cup celebrating blur their memory about Streveler. Even after a couple of seasons with us he was still prone to horrendous decisions and brain farts in the passing game, often forcing throws and flat out missing wide open guys. People forget he started 7 games in a row during the latter part of 2019 and had a TD/INT ratio of 7-11, throwing multiple INT's in 5 of 7 games. His poor decision making followed him to Arizona where he was ultimately released after being outperformed by 35 year old journeyman Colt McCoy?!? He's shown flashes but is wayyyyyy too inconsistent to be trusted as a starter. Like Noeller said, i love the guy but he is not a #1 QB in any league.

Nichols is broken and MBT is half nuts, hard pass on both. Harris and Masoli are the only real options if Collaros leaves imo.

Worst case we lose Collaros to Toronto and Masoli ends up in Ottawa. Where is Harris going to go? If he wants to still be a starter it would have to be here and most likely at a discount. You cant win with young QB's unless youre the Stampeders apparently. He still has game based on his sample size with Montreal last season, and he's never played behind an o-line as good as ours. He wouldnt need to be all-world with us, just be serviceable and limit turnovers. And i would imagine him coming into a veteran championship winning tight group with OSH at the helm would effectively smother his ego/locker room issues, if he infact has any. Trust me, i desperate want Collaros back but we could win with Harris.

Call me crazy but i honestly think Harris could have a lot of success behind our o-line and backed by our defense. We could reincarnate the 2000 Baltimore Ravens(our defense was arguably better last year), and he could be our Trent Dilfer.

Under Wade the Bombers have done a great job marketing towards the late teen-early 20's crowd. Cheap standing room tickets so they can hang out at the Rum Hut and drink their faces off was a great idea. Very much a social like feel over there. Winning cups doesnt hurt either!!

Thats a tough one for sure. I like Evans but this is a guy who has now lost 2 Grey Cups(granted he hasnt played two full games but has looked rattled and crappy in 1.5 Grey Cups) and the Tiger Cats have never been quite all in on handing him the keys to the ship for whatever reason. Collaros is a known commodity and has proven himself to be a winner. I think i bite the bullet and give Zach the $550K.

I'd be ecstatic. But i will eat my shoe if we manage to get him back at under $500K. My guess is $525K and i'd be fine with that. For christs sake he's 16-1 in meaningful regular season games with us and has won us back2back Grey Cups! Hell there should be a Bomber fan beside his bed every day bright and early ready to give Zach a morning massage + happy ending. One two three not it!

I really dont think an extra $50K is going to prevent us from winning another cup. Were not talking the craziness of the Reilly/BLM contracts from a few years ago here.

BLM took a cut cause he's been injured and meh going on 2 seasons now. There is no way Zach comes in under $500K IMO. My guess is we sign him at $550K. And if we dont want to pay that someone else will. Do we really want to play chicken with our back2back Grey Cup winning QB over 50K? I dont. Oh i agree its asinine but sports salaries are very much negotiated on comparables.

I mean Fajardo is making what, 515K? Based on that market setting(thanks knobs to the left), getting Collaros at the 525K-550K is reasonable IMO. I'd be hesitant to go beyond that.
