I think this game finalized what we all knew… This years TC MVP winner, is Cooley. Following in the footsteps of the oft mentioned legend tony ortiz and countless others, Cooley won over the fans, media, staff and his fellow players. He tore up the field every time he got a chance and has assured him self a tremendous package in the next couple days. Instead of the usual apple and a road map, he can look forward to a steak sandwich from Simone’s and a business class plane ticket on an indirect flight. In all seriousness, he’s shown he deserves a chance to play in this league. He even had a nice block on a sweep, and a really nice catch in a ball low and behind.

Jy has been experimenting a lot with more 40 fronts and blitz schemes. We can always fall back to the 30 fronts dime max cover but I think we will see a lot more aggressive fronts this year. I don’t think any one is prepared for what Jy is gonna do. Buck does know our core guys and coaches well though. We will see if he can then that familiarity into any sort of advantage. He’s been an extremely mixed bag at that in the past. we don’t need to be a team that sends 7-8 often, if we can send two or so extra mixed in and get a good push from 4 that will go soo far.

I don’t think he will lose interest, but he could end up else where. I love shmecks heart and motor. He might well turn him self into a solid back end of the roster Canadian. For all his work and drive though he isn’t suddenly going to become a guy who can bull rush the pants off guys. I saw a couple great uses of his hands to disengage from blockers and get fill run lanes.

He was but he’s been playing football for 3 years. He was by far the greenest guy on either team, and still performed very well. Idk that it makes sense to keep him rather than have him return, but I’d take him over our depth ni dts.

We brought in some really good dl. I love the ends with the size to play some 3 tech as well. Bailey and person are the only ends under 250, and most of the ends we brought in are 260+. If we see kyrie or vaughters cut its a very good sign imo.

The cuts on D are gonna be real tough. Cooley at worst should be on the pr. Over all the offensive cuts shouldn’t be too tough. Probably can’t keep as many ol as you’d like. I’d keep vibert on the pr with 2 imp ol till Lofton is healthy atleast. 1 of corcoran and Cobb likely make the ar, other might make the pr. Like to keep Harris around. Mitchell probably sticks on the size of his bonus. But the vet fa WRs have been meh. Probably bring back Patterson since chase got hurt. On D, I think woods is in trouble. He didn’t play as well as last year and a bunch of guys plays better adams and pointer for sure. Similarly Parker might get handed a job but in ps wasn’t top 10 in db performance for us.

Secondary all rallied and hit a lot. block of the game on one of cooleys runs Wallace flattened his man and went cruising for more. honourable mentions Vaval, Avery, Gowan, Jaylen smith with 3 teams tackles, the whole Dl especially pointer Bailey person adams and Zack Davis.

Pointer and Davis with the inside push. Man Davis is good. Only playing 4 years looks better than schmekel Mci watching, as the lead blocker he needs to hammer the first guy. Kornelson got down field on kick cover there, nice hustle.

I’d 100% start him at guard out of camp. And keep grooming him as a rt.

Boy Wallace at LT pancaked a rider then went hunting for more He is kick stepping playing a speed rush, Cooley comes to help and gets run over by Wallace lol

Davis the riffles kid does a great job of disengaging and making the tackle

Does the. Cc have more angles? Or do they just get what we get? Judging by the fact they never used him in screen playes I wouldn’t expect much.

Guys like Gowan hall Harris and woodbey/avery/lawson might not be ready to take a starting job now, but a good chunk of those guys are gonna be the pr. Yeah, I really like what little I’ve seen from him so far.

He’s a better weapon than a lot of our WRs. I’d keep him around and figure out how to use him. Him n Brady on the field at the same time would be wild. Dive action toss? Good luck D.

It’s a tough thing in the cfl. Remember our kicking before Sergio? That’s why people worry about it. But it’s hard to keep two guys around.

For my money, Hamilton. Maximuik is a really solid Canadian prospect who does both jobs behind legs, while also having 2 punters in camp. Agree. So we know vaval is gonna be cut lol

would've been nice to see cooley with the first team. Randolph still at RT is interesting. Vanterpool at lt I like, and Vibert at C too. Harris sure is quick

Yup. I think you can debate a bunch who the 2nd best lber has been. But 1st, isn't even close. Maybe you even go jones and jones, DI ayers. He's been the whole package too. dropping back into zones, picking up the flats, playing the run, and blitzing.
