True. You would see more TD drives from that than from moving the upright out of the front of the endzone any way. Any way it's cut, moving the uprights to the back of the end zone means you either kill the return and FG game, or you need some quirky rule to make it work. Like, if you get to the opponent's 40-yard line, you can try a FG of 40 yards, and 20 for 20. You then couldn't allow fake FGs, though. Or you have all kickoffs done from the goal line. Meaning the other team is driving from within your side of the field more frequently. But even then, it would make low-scoring games so much worse and strange. The upright move really is the strange and worst of the changes.

That means the red zone is really your fg range. You could drive from deep in your zone to the 35-40, hit 3rd and long, and be out of range for a field goal. Do you punt from within the 45? The 40? Even if punters start hanging perfect NFL-style kicks, all the rule changes succeed in is killing the return game. The BOG really needs to rethink this one.

Either reinjured his shoulder, or concussed. I've been a big Brown booster since his second-year leap forward. We need him to take the step forward again now and consistently show the brilliance he's flashed many times. This is far from his last shot, but this is where we need him. Im sure he will go into next years camp pencilled in as qb1 and be battling TE for the spot. But if hes gonna be a real QB1 and develop into that top tier guy, we need him to step up and lead this team. He doesn't need to be throwing 500 yards and 4 tds every game, but he needs to over come Condells short comings and lead this offence to sustained success. Im hoping he ends up at about 31 tds and 100 ints this year. With most of that damage coming this week.

Generally, you can't just dig up global players of value mid-season. That said we did just miss out on a good rotational global DL. But this looks more like a bolster the back end of the teams roster.

Strong prospect for sure. Good hands, the thing that holds them back from being great hands is he doesn't extend or attack the ball. He almost always traps catches into his chest. His tremendous body control and route running lets him maintain leverage on the ball and work his way back to the ball and reduce the chance of DBs knocking the ball down. Quick more then fast for sure, not that twitchy make you miss in a phone booth type but that great 1 cut and run that translates to the cfl soo well. He sure isn't 6'1 or 6'0, but he plays bigger than he is. I expect he has a better chance in the slot with all that room and the waggle. Hansen back is solid. Limited rotational piece and teams upgrade over the end roster canadians. a guy who can eat some reps on the DL would be great but they will probably convert him at to Lber to get him on the roster LOL

Elsbury is a strange athlete. He's fast and a good jumper for his size but he isn't powerful or physically explosive like that. Teams dont really have bigger DTs, you see the dt tweener but not guys that big. At 333 lbs, he handily has 20-30 lbs on every DT he faces. yet he is not able to road grade at all. Eli does for sure. At this point of the season and career for zach, I don't think there is a lesser of any evils when it comes to injurys.

We can still do better with the design of the pressure packages, and he did get caught up a couple of times in sending 5+. Id rather see us show and drop with anywhere from 3-5 rushers. More stunts and twists, some better personal useage, Etc. Reese dropping back and replacing Jones gave harris fits all night too.

That was a horrible call, which was even called out on tsn which is surprising. Plus i mean the most penalized ol we have is big stan by a mile. You’re right that eli has issues in pass pro Though we’ve mainly seen that at G, haven’t seen enough of him at C. Atleast i’d a guy has 1 flaw you can help cover for that. When a guy is a hole on the ol in all facets you can’t do much. Elsbury might take a big step forward in year two, i wouldn’t throw him away, but he should be done starting this year. If vanterpool is/gets healthy if give him some practice time at C and see if he can go in. He’s tremendous as a guard.

Zach threw for 175, 1 td and 2 picks. while atleast 2 other passes should’ve been picked. Zach has stunk most of the starts he’s had over 2.5 years. Brown beat the rush on his own more that zach did, moved the ball when he needed to and protected the ball. Zach was doing the best to throw the game away when he got hurt. 100%. Wrs are a close 4th tbh.

kramdi was horrible at S every game this year save for tonight. It’s not an out dated take. He has improved significantly each year other wise, and been very solid the last two ish years. He’s still exploitable if you get him in man, the problem is he is the 5th highest db in the entire league. solid to good canadian should not get you that especially at db. I think kramdi would be best off at wil. but if what we did tonight is repeatable that is pretty good too. It is hard to say if our D is for real from what we saw tonight though. Eli is not a downgrade from ellsbury. He isn’t good at any thing, can’t set the line, snap reliably, pick up any thing, execute zone schemes, or pass block 1 on 1. Eli is limited, but atleast he has some strengths.

Texada has been very good today i was very impressed especially for his experience. Whole secondary played much better today. Kramdi brought back some much needed physicality amongst others. We also used him better than we have all year at S. He wasn’t the deepest man having to pick up hand offs, he was the under man and the wall player like when he played sam. Allowing him to play lanes and lay the body. This is far more traditional assignment for canadian Ss. We also did it while limiting the kelly/ 2 S look. We used that a couple times but mostly to allow kramdi to rush. And 5 or fewer snaps. The coverage was simplified and streamlined allowing dbs to play fast. The front had some good rush packages with 3-5, though that still needs to improve. We saw more of what our D has done best under hall and jy. The pass rush needs work still, disruption was a bit better but actual pass rush too limited. Wil and mac again under performed, especially tony jones. His pass limitations got hidden a bit better by rushing him more, but he’s been struggling to finish plays lately. He might be worn down physically. Smith has been soo damn good though. I’d love to see him flanked by griffin when he’s healthy. same.
