Doesn't look like he's that fast, lucky the endzone arrived when it did or some of those D backs may have tracked him down. Remember hes running away from NFL dbs. Those guys are generally among the fastest on the team. hes reputed to have great football smarts, great athletic ability, and has awesome size. All that is not a surprise from an un drafted mediocre production college guy who stuck in the nfl with as many looks for as long as he did. Raw tools, check. Now lets see him in some game action and see if he can translate it. Allways fun to have guys with the big potential around. Never hurts to look.

Good teams dont get beaten by the breaks of the game. If you arent good enough to out play luck, or the refs forget about out playing the other team. This team has the potential to be a play off team, But they dont have any of the execution or discipline to do so. Or the Oline. Some times a team is better or worse then their record. But with our play calling, commitment to brohm, Oline play, execution and discipline, we are our record. With out willy, we could easily be at 1 win.

I dont think coming back to the ball is an issue when you dont throw deep balls several games in a row. Even intermediate routes where out the window. While i think our talent is good at wr, if there are upgrades available id take em. I dont think you limit your self to positions of need when scouting americans, take the best of whats familiar. I think you're wrong. Moore is a good receiver, Denmark can be but he's pretty invisible these days, Adams has been putting way way too many passes on the turf so what good is he? Veltung is a rookie who shows some promise but isn't at the level we need yet, the Canadians are OK but not really threats, more of the solid but unspectacular that you can't really lean on types. And for a guy with not great college production who went un drafted to stick in the nfl with as many teams as he did its gotta be an amazing skill set. Hope he can get in some games and show what hes got. Can never have enough explosive big targets around.

Cant ignore upgrades at other positions because of a hole in another area. Cut of our nose to spite our face. If there was a turn key OL that would make a strong impact for us and was available we'd a made that deal all ready. I also dont think wr is a problem at all. we have tons of talent, but the worst run pro offense ive ever seen in any league. (including AFL2 etc) I wonder if this will push us further to a 3-4. We are really stacked at LB now. If it does, id love to see a traditional 3-4 NT come in.

Ill preface this by saying i love henoc as a player and he would imop be our best Lber, and a leader on D. That said our D is a strength and LB is probably the best strength there in. Henoc would make us a better team, no question. But henoc would be short term. He isnt going to sign a multi year deal. And I wouldnt want to get rid of a slightly lesser player that would be here long term, for half a year of him. As much as henoc would make our D better, he wouldnt make the difference between us being a play off team and not. And he would cost a ton of money for the portion of a year he would play. ] Ill really wont be disapointed at him going to another team. I hope he plays in the east, and is close to home if he does come back to the cfl. I really hope he goes back to an nfl team and makes a nice career for him self down there. I think the only thing that would really disappoint me now is if he A) signs with sask, or signs a long term deal in the cfl. After all that, id really like to see the CFL adapt a similar rule to MLB. If a team develops a players, say drafted them or an imp with 2 years on the team and no other cfl teams before that. When another team signs them either at the end of there first contract or coming back from nfl time, id like to see some form of compensation. Some amount of cash/neg list option, or even a draft pick. Some thing for a teams time spent developing a player. Nothing earth shaking, or that would seriously hold up the free agent process. But some thing would be good.

Great move. I really dont see any needed moves on the D side of the ball this off season. Henoc or not, coaching staff or players. I think we have a great young core with strong depth. Some depth/prospect pass rushing dline would be good but over all we have a very good D.

Im not sure how much they could fix this blander then vanilla offense. But they sure couldnt do worse with play calling. I mean this offense makes the air taste exotic. its soo bad if i see a designed off tackle run my jaw might hit the floor like every other play under joe paopao.

A couple reasons. 1) we have been quick to re tool coaching and had been slow to re build management. We havent given a qb and OC a good period of time to develop a winning offence. And weve constantly been taking other teams end cuts or straight up no names for oc. Similar can be said of HC. I think MoS is a good development guy who will be a good hc in the cfl. Im not sure he will get the time to do it here though. But between him and dave ritchie there is an awful lot of crap at HC. There are only soo many top notch cfl team runners out there. And we havent had one in a long long time. Tbh id keep walters and MoS hoping they develop into that for another year or two easily. Unless, we had a plug and play top cfl mind come available to us. I havent looked at numbers but id bet my dog we have had more OCs from 2000-2015 then any other cfl team. Probably more starting qbs too.

Still waiting MB. Still waitin. When he gets canned its probably going to be a top 3 moment for the season for me.

Buck is one of my all time least favorite bomber qbs. But these commercials are pretty funny, and that hit still makes me cringe.

Oh god purolator pat barnes. Soo many people where biting nails while he did nfl TCs. Man what a bust that guy was.

Better. He's Kliff Kingsburyesque. Id say his bust potential would be brad banks. the typical NFL knocks on a qb with the cfl tool set. Never figured it out though. As for not having had a developmental qb, id say marve has been that. He hasnt quickly blossomed into what we would hope, but qbs arent often quick to develop in the cfl. If he can stay healthy and is reasonably priced id love to see him boyd, nichols, and willy in TC next year. That level of talent at the qb position is enough to make me drool.

I dont think any one can be THAT good. This guy has some legit tools. Tee was strong and could run hard, and had a gun for an arm. But he couldnt hit the broad side of a barn, never understood the 3 downs thing, and was the ultimate systems guy in tenn. The hype imop was not warranted. I can see why this guy didnt last long in the nfl. That throwing motion is real interesting. Some times he drops it down as low as side arm some times gets as high as 3/4. But my god does he get the ball out of his hands in a hurry. Great release. Doesnt have that rocket laser arm but his zip is very impressive. Doesnt have break away speed but great scramble and option speed. Plays a lot of shot gun which is good, and is used to many multi faceted offensive targets which is also good. The big thing is as allways, how does he adapt to the canadian game. If he picks up the motion and urgency quickly he could be a real star. Allways like to see us picking up development QBs with huge up side. will make for some interesting practises and TC.

in pro sports, especially the cfl you only get soo many chances. I hope they get it done, i think its a great combo of pres/gm/hc

I think they'd keep Hurl around for the rest of the season if we get Muamba. Id say it depends on how much hurl makes, and if we have another canadian LB who can step in if needed. But then there seem to be a good few guys shaking loose from the nfl right now. That money could go to several guys.

Its true. IN general in drafts teams tend to fall in love with guys with high up side. Especially at OL where deviant skills are a great rarity. Id say its the hardest position next to QB to project college guys to pro at. I dont think you can ever under value a lineman who has technical skill and who does the base things right. stay low, use his hands well with good punch move etc.

^ said it. this is a massive steal. Id be thrilled if we had gotten either the pick or capers.
