But I think no matter what they do, they have to start getting throwing reps in with some one else. Cody would be pretty good as a back up and change of pace guy who can run streveler stuff. As crazy as it sounds, Id take ottawas trio of rookie qbs duck, christion, and evans over the riders 3 qbs. I think we are going to quickly enter the point of critical value loss for CF. Where he will be a good back up, but would have to take a real cut in cash. He's gonna be 30 before the next season starts. And despite the added time off not only has he failed to improve from 19, he's gotten worse.

If the lions are eligible then yes he will. But I dont see any chance of the lions finishing in the bottom 2 of the league.

If not harris it shouldve been willy. Ive never seen or heard of a team averaging 10-100 ish in penalties. Thats a huge hole to try and dig out of. Id love to see the average season wins with each penalty per game from 4 or 5 - 10. Wont lie, I liked the offense danny barrett ran. he was way way ahead of the times. Seems like a backhanded compliment at best imo.

He did, but it was also an era of extremely heavy man cover, with far fewer targets and DBs on the field. A SAM back then was still a true LBer. And rangy Safteys that could cover side line to side line were exceedingly rare in the NFL. Its funny but between the two Id take nichols in a play off game. And glenn during the season. Glenn knew how to burry teams. Nichols didnt win a play off game, but he always played his best football in the play offs and in the clutch. Glenn had a tendency to throw un timely picks. The worst thing Nichols did in the play offs was criminally under throw some deep balls to wide open guys. 08 had 3 1k wrs, romby, armstrong, and TE plus milt and a pretty good arjei franklin. that was the year fred reid came over too.

He transferred to portland state for his senior year starting 15 games, knocking down 7 passes and adding 2 TFL. Athletically he's tall, long, with great jumping ability and rangy type speed. I decided to take it a step further, Powell has only ran for more yards then the riders lost in penalties once. That was best game by a mile. The first week CJ and powell combined rushing yards was less than the riders penalty yards. 2nd week also less combined rushing yards than penalty yards. 3rd week less rushing yards again. 4th week, less rushing yards. 5th week less rushing yards. 6th week more yards rushing than penalty yards! 7th less. 8th week more yards rushing than penalty yards! For us we had more week 1, less in week 2 and 3 with barely any brady carries vs TO. Harris had more in every game. On average if we hit more than 10 carries we will our run our penalty yards. If the riders run 20 times, they still arent breaking even.

Probably right. I quit allowing me self to be sticked with crap like cortisone along time ago, and all the none over the counter stuff. The long term effects of chronic use of all that stuff is scary. I love football as much as any thing short of blood. Yep he cant manage professional players. I posted in the game thread this week asking who the worst coach in the league is right now between elizondo, dickenson, and plop. And honestly its a hard call. I suspect elizondo will be fired first. Plop is a bad OC imo, but I think he's actually solid at coaching players and making in game decisions. His roster choices have been awful, with qbs and flanders etc. But right now Id probably fire him last of those 3. Elizondo is a butt. I dont like him or the way he manages his players. I see a lot of the riders issues with him. But in the end I think elizondo might be a bit better than dickenson. 100% on both points. Jones teams though are a bit different. They did play on the edge, and had attitude to a real negative degree. He cultivated a me first culture. But dickenson is like a cesspool that happens in the absence of any culture. Theyve been a cesspool of one sort or another for a long time. The biggest dumpster fires in the last 20 years have all been in regina. Honestly a lot of poop (like mccallum) from the early part of the previous decade has kind of been forgotten.

I cant find any over all penalty stats, so I broke it down from the game day stat sheets. Bombers 8 games 5-45, 6-65, 8-80, 8-70, 9-79, 6-82 , 6-56, 3-35. Total of 43-512. With 5-64 average per game. Riders 8 games 7-73, 20-187, 9-95, 10-102,12-143, 7-80, 9-100, 8-67. Total of 82-847. For an average of 10.25-105.88. No grand conspiracy here. No magic, no BS. The bombers are far more disciplined. I have no doubt that the riders have the 2 worst games for discipline in the league this year. 1 against us and 1 against hamilton.

They are too biased to see the reality. We are a hard nosed football team. Physical as can be. But we are not a team that plays on the edge. We are frequently among the least penalized teams in the league. We are the most disciplined squad in the league by a mile. The riders are the opposite. The riders have after the snap scuffles and shenanigans every single game. Its not some grand conspiracy, they arent highly emotional, they have no discipline.

Im sure they are shooting him up with cortisone and pain killers. Reilly probably has an issue with over use. The limited reps in TC, coming in in relief and looking wild but then getting much better quickly but still not being consistent all scream of over work. He probably went far too hard on his own in the lead up to the season. BLM broke his leg. His drive leg too iirc. Nothing is gonna make that good. And he had surgery on his shoulder in 2020, and 2019. He played on the torn shoulder in 19, and he only missed 3 games with that broken leg. The guy is falling apart. The stamps should shut him down for the season if they want any chance to get use out of him again. Or maybe they finally sell him off before the trade deadline and try to get a bunch of value back from a fringe team. TO has a lot to offer in terms of value.

I don think they will fully turn on fajardo. Dickenson however I think is going to be watching his lawn for the mccallum treatment. I think they will anticipate the great return of Chris Jones who would instantly right the ship and lead them to a grey cup win at home... Only for him to sign else where. Spurning the riders like soo many FA players.

Either their main/2nd guy is gonna miss a ton of PR reps while nursing an injury, or the front office has no idea what to do and little faith in any of their guys. Thats what I thought when I heard his comment. The dude cant hit the broad side of a barn from 15 yards and further. Ive seen him flat out miss an open man deep atleast 2 times each game. They might have the most talented group of NI wrs but it doesnt matter. It wouldnt matter if they had 5 clones of prime milt. We talked about it here at length in the off season. Fajardo had to take a big step forward this year to progress or even produce at the same level as 19. The book is out on him now. We know how he scrambles, he cant run RPO, he cant run effective called qb run plays, he cant throw medium passes and deeper. His short ball accuracy looks a little better than 19, but other wise he's much worse. That OL isnt helping things either.
