Some Canadian kids doing really well at the combine this year. Idk what the record is for Canadian picks but it may well be broken this year

The best part of Regina is you can get out or the city quickly. The best part of Toronto is it’s far away from here.

Maybe two years ago. Not any more. About lber you can. Because we didn’t bring any one in last year. -

Would you be comfortable going into camp with kyrie biggie clements and the usual sts guys? Under 25 games between the two this year is a slam dunk. And we have no next man up. You can quantify endlessly. Missing that many games on an Achilles is worrisome. Compare him under those quantifications to wynton mcmanis. Or jsk. Or Avery Williams. Or Thurman etc. you could probably come up with 10 lber pairings that you would expect more out of. Other teams are developing and finding lber gems. Mean while we run out roll players who wouldn’t start for half the league for half our season. -

He has some low level sports investment like mjhl already so I could see it. Could be huge for the cfl. -

He is and he was the hands down modp in the league until he went down last year. But wrong side of 30 coming off an Achilles only played 18 games once in 5 seasons. Only played more than 7 games once. You need depth at every position to account for injuries. More so at lber. Wilson and biggie are bankable as starters but at this point you need to treat them like an ni starter between both. Have a back up that can take their spot ready in order to start them. -

If walker is cheap, by rider standards any way, it’s a good low risk high reward move. He’s not a guy you want to bank on but he’s a good add for camp. Either he sticks and returns some what to form or he pushes and helps train up some rookies and you cut him. That said the riders probably are banking on him and it feels a little reactionary to not getting either of the top 2 wrs available. If I was a fan of theirs I would be concerned that he and td jake are being counted on to start and perform at a high level. I think he would be a good add for a team like bc. Low expectations soft career reset and a chance to out perform expectations for once. -

Not nearly as applicable on the grid iron. Especially in the trenches. Don’t see many under sized dominant linemen. The hot take on the defense seems like an attempt at stirring the pot. The type of comment that won’t be remember if we are good but that can be flaunted if our d isn’t. I’m not worried about the secondary. We got more starters than spots. We need a nose / pass rushing dt. Hansen will go a long way to give us the rotation at de again. We do need depth in that role though. last year our lb crop in camp was the most underwhelming we’ve seen in the mafia era. If biggie had gone down instead of kyrie we’d a been totally screwed. As it is he’s dropping off in play. We can’t bank on kyrie and biggie alone. We need a strong batch of lbers to push and be ready as the next man up. we have done a phenomenal job of developing and finding dl. We need one rotational depth pass rusher, a rotational depth lber who can step in and perform at a high level, and an impact dt. De and lber is extremely talent rich in football. I’m not worried. -

With a name like that he shouldn’t be hard to beat out for rourke… never believed they were gonna run him as a no2 going into camp. That said he may have a great chance at sticking around on the pr. Better chance than mbt has of getting another nfl look after the usfl season any way. -

If any guy in the league makes that move it’s Bailey. Culture and team work are what make up that guy. -

It is a strange move for a defending team trying to turn around a market. I never felt like mbt took a step forward this year. It seemed like he was ready to revert to poor performance any time after any game quarter or stretch of good play. -

Last years grey cup was 158k, the other play off games were in the 100k range the bombers elk game did 150k. Lots of 100k games from what I can see. But that’s also with zero marketing or advertising. Here? Man I don’t see that at all. -

It’s qb musical chairs and no chair is left for tor. All they can do is wait for a qb to shake loose from the nfl, a team has to move a guy due to qb controversy, or for mbt to not make the nfl and come Up mid season. I could also see a draft day trade with bc for neglist qbs. Like half their nl is qbs and at this point they have two no2s and wait on rourke. -

Did you feel significantly better about mbt being qb1 this time last year? I don’t think tor had a happy qb ending to this off season. If/when streveler is a fa again I expect them to be a top player. And if rourke shakes loss for any bc qb. -

Good move for the lions. Better to have two mediocre no2 qbs than 1. Good on Dane taking less cash too. I think it’s generally a good thing for him. Good chance to recover some confidence. Don’t think vaj is the guy to sit behind though. Ham is really all in on blm. I wouldn’t be surprised if they missed the play offs this year. They’ve lost a whole lot of talent and not done a good job replacing it. They remind me of the post 01/02 bombers. also not too surprised the argos are going with Kelly. But I would think they’d be after a decent vet back up to push him in camp and help him develop. -

Average to good. But terrible espn numbers. Yeah that would make sense. Don’t think they’ll get that more than a couple times. One and done yet again like booch said. -

He was in the grey cup. If he stayed in the game we’d a won the gc lol. So the week 1 xfl 3.0 tv attendance was even worse than the in game attendance. Dropped over 50% from week 1 of xfl 2.0. The two espn games pulled 900k and 750k. Pretty dismal. -

I’d love to see qbs throw for field goals actually. It would certainly help fajardo get closer than his deep balls normally are. -

Yep. The chances of some one taking all 3 jobs is extraordinarily slim which means we’d eat up cash and a di spot on a kicker while pushing legs progress back. Only 2 ways legs isn’t our kicker out of camp. We hit a schoen level generational rookie, or he gets hurt. Some one will be brought in for camp, but very likely not a vet and not a blue chipper. -

They do that every year. They don’t just ignore positions. They look for talent no matter the roster. Lots of kickers like moutada. Not a lot of good kickers. Look at the guys who keep floating around the nfl. The talent gap in kickers has never been bigger. Few great ones lots of filler. No rookie kicker is going to come in and be serious competition. -

Is there one for buck taking the ball out of collaros hands and having prukop throw? We had a TON of chokes in the gc. Zach threw for 183 1 pick no tds. Schoen had 2 bad drops and wasn’t the only wr with one. Wj had 0 tackles 1 teams tackle no pass kds no sacks no tfl no pressures. Bighill had a similar line with just 1 tackle. Rose was attacked a lot. Easily a half dozen guys had the chance to make 1 play and win the game for us. You can’t look at legs and blame him. The block wasn’t on him either. I think he counts as a naturalized thai-bo jazzercise gymkata instructor in the cfl. Atleast as much as he counts as a player any way. -

Doesn’t take much of a wind speed head on to turn a 43 into the equivalent of a 53 yarder. And a cross wind on a long fg is about as good as a Hail Mary. What do you suggest the bombers do? Serious competition like who exactly? And how do you plan to fit them in the sms? Any rookie kicker isn’t going to be serious competition in their first camp in the cfl. Look at how long Sergio took to turn into a good pro. if legs brings up his consistency just a bit from his average performance last year we have the best ni three job kicker in the league and the cheapest. Who is also still very young. It’s always good to have an extra leg in camp to keep the no1 fresh, push them a bit and have a back up plan if they go down. Which I fully expect we will. Probably a multi job global or ni. Not likely a top prospect at the level of legs when he came here. -

To me all I will ever think of godbeer is how stove on his return from injury embarrassed him repeatedly even through double teams with suhk. Stove is a bad dude but godbeer is kinda meh. It’s hard to get ahead of teams when your improvements are their cast offs. And yet every year the hype train is in the station and ready to go in ssk. maybe they will manage to dig them out lol. -

He understands the high risk low reward situation of trying 50 yarders with regularity. Unless your name is Justin medlock. Also note that in 22 the average nfl kickers make rate from 50 was just 72%. I would bet it’s handily 15-20% worse in the cfl in the last two seasons. Then legs also hit from 55 last year and has 3 game winning 50s in his time here. A confederacy of dunces also generates a common consensus. Yep. And he understands the risk of td or big returns on fg kicks that long. Plus he has good reason to have faith in our defense holding teams that are pinned deep. The amount of safety’s forced by the D directly or by stopping a team pinned inside the 10 is tremendous during the mos era. Not to mention turn overs and defensive tds. personally I love the gamble to get a safety and the ball for our offense over trying a long fg. Plus the option for teams to punt to grant with him getting the ball around center field is tremendous. Unless the punt is shanked, or the other teams offense gets back to back first downs punting instead of trying a 50 yard field goal is generally a winning move. Especially here. the punts I don’t like are the mid field ones. Our 50 to their 35 after the return isn’t a good exchange but one most every ones goes for. Especially on 3rd and 6-7 or less. A mostly automatic pass for collaros.
