  1. Why does ham keep throwing money at rbs that they will never use? They could have Carey and wouldn’t give him touches.
  2. Cjfl is a higher level of talent than many cis programs and easily a conference or two. They’ve developed lots of talent especially lately You’re right he was more subtle than I recalled. They also wouldn’t be talking about it or him if he didn’t have the talent and didn’t think it was a possibility.
  3. Walters was talking about that, mos was talking about nepotism, how he advised his son to prepare for interviews etc.
  4. The article talking about him and the possibility of him ending up here had Kyle Walters saying he’d be a hard talent to pass on. Also his resume does say that. 2021 23 catches 10 went for tds 24+ yards a per catch with 15+ yards per punt return and adding another 2 tds on punt returns. 2022 28 catches 8 for tds for 17 ypc to go along with 3 punt return tds and 17.5 yards per punt return.
  5. I think it’d be hardest for sr to coach his kid. I think most would look at it in the media as a Gordy Howe playing with his sons moment. But yeah screw any negative stuff that’s all just noise any way. Yep. I think the biggest will be how the locker room looks at it. But I think they’d take any one who fifo’S. the thing with jr is he didn’t test well athletically and he went from dominating to bit lower useage. Hard to get drafted off that with his career path. I think he likely ends up with either us Toronto or bc.
  6. I think a move to wil could extend his career several years As well. He keeps in fantastic shape and is an extraordinary athlete. If you keep him away from trying to run through ol and have him do more coverage he could play at a high level late into his career.
  7. I’m hoping for an immediate teams player or two. A futures pick, an ol body worth developing or sending back to college. I’d love a big versatile fb/te/hback too. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another db. really though, I want mos jr. I think he’s gonna be a player.
  8. Think they mean no one’s favourite qb lol. Would’ve liked to have drjr back. But he hit the wall hard and we are deep at db. Might be a mid season type of guy if he gets his wind right.
  9. He caught a lot of passes in college too. Could be used like mcrae in a position less role. Great to have that depth in camp.
  10. doesn’t have that multi cut explosiveness that blink did, more of a one cut north south guy. But that’s not bad at all. Also looks like he has a second gear and much better break away speed. His measurables between college and his pro day were 5’6 166 to 5’7 177 with a low 4.5 40.
  11. Man remember the odd time jfg would go off? Especially in late game come backs? Not an elite guy or any thing but i did like that guys game. Let’s say they are a close 20th in the last 23 years. Blink and you’ll miss him size lol Qft
  12. Imo the best wr core we’ve had since milt, geroy, Gordon, and aj lit the world up in 2000. Schoen, lawler, demski, bailey. Good luck defending that.
  13. It’s like when Ryan leaf promised 3-4 super bowls in his post draft introduction. Or flexing after a 5 yard run right before you punt.
  14. Very different to say it when you are in the nfl vs when you are going into your first training camp.
  15. That’s freaking awesome. You can hear how much blue n gold is still in dee and strevy.
  16. That’s my favourite axiom in all of sports. Couple roster changes and philosophical changes past mid way really paid off. Also the offense getting a lot better keeping the d off the field helps. I think you can go back pretty far in the mafia era and find defenses that would be best in the league or better with less time on the field. I miss those 5 forced turn overs per game days though. With the size disparity I think you see that flag a lot more than if they are close in stature. That was like a dad pushing off in a father son game. “Here son have a seat”
  17. Looks like a big physical wr. Very much in the mold we usually look for. talented dude but our wr core is crazy deep. Best in the league going into camp imo
  18. I think you’re forgetting the record for defensive turn overs in back to back years. We scored a crazy amount of defensive tds too in 18/19.
  19. That’s real bs. Too many big egos putting them self before the sport, the kids, the leagues, and the fans. Pathetic. Such a gong show. Hopefully a lot of change is gonna come about from this.
  20. Isn’t he out of football currently? Not often you see a 52 year old oc couple years removed from a gc out of football not by their choice is it? I like the guy as a person, as a football mind, and as a leader. I hope he sticks with tsn and they pay him really well. I’d love to see more of him and blm working together in the booth. I think you’d see some of the best and most interesting offensive football talk any where. And I couldn’t be happier that he isn’t the oc here any more. And I’ll add, it is insanely hard to make your way as an oc in American or Canadian football with out playing qb at the highest level or coming up under a great lineage. 50 years from now nfl coaches will still be drawing their line back to Shanahan and Reid. Is it really different than guys people love? That kinda goes hand in hand in all sports tbh. The worst thing to be is forgettable. Atleast if you are hated you’ll be remembered. No one is gonna remember the guys who play called by committee for us before or after worman. Or soo many ocs after that. And a generational defense.
  21. Sfu being the no1 producer of cflers is about as legit as the argos having the most grey cups by counting when only Ontario teams played rugby for the ship.
  22. Soo true. People criminally under rate how much medlock Carried us at times. 5 games in 16 when he hit 4 of 4 fgs. 60 makes in 18 games is crazy. 2 6 for 6 games in 17. In 18 5 games where he was perfect and hit 4 or more fgs including another 6 for 6. In 19 5 games in a row all at or above 4 attempts with 0 misses. 30 of 31 in 7 games. Who puts up 90 points in 7 games 12.87 points per game while missing 1 kick? No medlock? No 19 grey cup. With out him we might not have won back to back and appeared in 3 in a row at all. With out him giving the greatest stretch of kicking ever in his time here we probably don’t keep that team together long enough to become the dynasty.
  23. Imop it’s a great use of a di if you have a guy who is elite in all 3 roles, like medlock was. But finding a guy like that and keeping them for any amount of time is extremely hard. Next to qb and ol kicker is the highest in demand position in the nfl. Soo many guys get run through and cycle team to team as they struggle to find elite legs. Unless a medlock is available as a fa and past that nfl window age I think one ni or an ni and a global is by far the best situation to develop. Other wise you are looking for a new kicker every year maybe 2 and paying a lot for it. And with the depth of global leg talent that translates well to the Canadian game, it only makes more sense.
