  1. I have trouble believing it’s developed more cfl talent than Laval, the Dino’s, western, or McMaster.
  2. Rookie Americans. A lot of nfl pros have given the talent level here a lot of respect. Yep. And sucked. Probably.
  3. Inb4 first round of cuts. Bc no2 with vaj? Yeah I don’t see that happening. awful thing about sfu. Hopefully they start back up in the near future.
  4. I’m disappointed but not surprised that the cfl is hiding td Atlantic behind the riders travelling circus of fans again. I bet if they had ham and ott play the event would be a massive dud.
  5. A very welcome addition for camp at that. Like that. The best qb out of the program by a lot. Kid is gonna have fun in camp with the bombers too.
  6. That’s true. And generally I wouldn’t be concerned about an edible or a college indiscretion that wasn’t violent. But all of those and the peds and you have a pretty high risk individual.
  7. Riders sign rashard Robinson in a typical dumpster fire move. Guy has been suspended and arrested more than he’s played games since college.
  8. Classic college pass rushing tweener. Love rangey athletic defensive ends. Guys like that who can get sideline to sideline and come in in the back of down field plays make a lot happen. Big sams who can play well in the box are fantastic to have too. Scout team is killing it as always this off season.
  9. Wonder if it’ll be Hackett coming back. 2 punters 2 kickers.
  10. Potential for punts. His kick off numbers are strange. Slightly under 50 yards which isn’t very good. But had a 75 yard punt (plenty of bounce and roll I’m sure) with a big average and 40 some % going more than 50 yards. And his longest fg was 35 yards. 18 fg attempts in total. Might need polish on kicking off the angle and steps. Great depth for camp and talent to develop.
  11. He was a beast on both sides of the line.
  12. They make it sound like he’s really torn on playing again. He’s young enough and with low enough wear to take a whole year to recover and try a come back at 100% next year. /flex I’d say I won’t miss that clown but guys like that seem to have endless lives in the cfl.
  13. Doug is a good comparison body wise too though a bit more extreme on that end. He was an extraordinary outlier in a long gone era though. It’s not the same fit these days. Joe montford was a shade over 220 too. Unfortunately listed weights and heights are what ever a player wants them to be most times.
  14. What a tremendous mix of skill sets. Kinda sad that the bombers internal media is drastically better than the national and 3dn stuff. But it sure is a treat. Id love to see Danny mac to a write up on a guy or a couple guys too. This is the last thing I worry about. The talent bed for football is insanely deep. Greater demand will help grow supply as well. Many times what qbs especially need is reps these days. Gone are the days of 4 and 5 year starters on one team. It’s all transfers to or from big schools where they back up and only a year to two years of production.
  15. He’s a good 3-4 inches taller and listed as 265 with the bisons, Jake is him self undersized as a dt but a good bit removed from weighing 276. He was a 2 sport guy in hs playing pretty good basketball. He is a very different body type than jake. Reminds me a lot of Brett MacNeil actually.
  16. Interesting. Kind of makes sense for his play style. He was kind of an undersized gap canceller at dt. I wonder if they project him as a tackle or guard. He’s tall long and athletic but not super heavy. I hope they really give the guy a shot and sit him on the pr for a while and bring him back next year. That’s the kind of position switch that could take some time.
  17. Chris jones and malcontents. Can’t even keep the dumpster fire down to smouldering in the lull of the off season. I wonder if he thought he was getting a signing bonus but it was actually a make the roster out of camp bonus.
  18. I feel like you’d see a similar trend with a lot of young kickers. 30-39 requires more control on a us field. If you over power the ball you are more likely to shank it. At 40-49 you aren’t taking any thing off the kick. Can’t say that’s what it is for certain just my gut instinct. not going crazy about the guy but last time we tried to go with a massive leg and raw leg talent in mourtada. Going with a more polished accurate guy makes sense. Plus you never know all 3 could be in camp. They love mourtada. at this point we have an awful lot of boxes ticked for camp. I think we bring in atleast 1 more qb, maybe an imp rb, couple more ol bodies, maybe one more dl and de a couple lbers and that’s it. At this point the best piece we could hope for is kongbo.
  19. I wouldn’t go too crazy about this pick up. Good depth guy but significantly less impressive than legs. 5 year player who made 95, 68, 68, 75, and 89% of his kicks for a career 80% make rate. Only made 1 kick 48 yards or longer in all 5 years.
  20. Mostly agree. Idk if he’s the 3rd best in the league on a decent team as the 3rd option. You can argue he’s a better pass catcher but that 5th wr here isn’t a pass catcher in half the plays. I’m not sure he is better either. Woli just gets soo few touches. If ksb got that amount of touches here he wouldn’t be too 15 ni wrs in the league for production. Imop he’d probably quit playing if he had to fills wolis shoes. Not many guys are willing to set aside stats and play selfless style like that. If woli was in ksbs position I think he’d be a 1k wr easily as well.
  21. He’d probably start on every other team in the league pretty easily. But not here. He couldn’t fill demskis role or wolis. And he wouldn’t bump any of the imps.
  22. 100% he wouldn’t. Ksb can’t block. Woli blocks more than he runs routes. Seriously it’s a completely different role. demski didn’t have injury Issues for his first 5 seasons. Can’t really compare the last two season health wise to a guy 22-24. He’s a talented young guy with lots of success for an ni wr. Nothing would change if he was here. Would it be sick to have that depth? Sure. But he wouldn’t sit on the bench as depth any way. And wouldn’t bump a starter. you really don’t seem to get what we have in bolo and woli. Or the role that our ni wrs play. just because it’s a contrarian point you don’t have to own it. 3dn, cfl pa, tsn, really any outlet you choose to look at demski is recognized for what he does.
  23. We have more numbers than yards receiving ya know. demski put up a combined 923 yards in 13 games for 71 yards per game with 10 tds and 75% catch rate. Averaging a td every .77 games. Vs bakers 1034 in 18 games for 57.44 per game with 5 tds and 69% catch rate. That’s .27 tds per game. 0 multi td games for baker to 3 for demski. that with baker being the no1 target in ssk and demski being no3 for about half his games and no2 target for the other half. Then you have to factor in that demski is one of the best blocking wrs in the league and the single biggest difference making wr with out the ball in his hands in the league. Last year demski had more tds than baker has in his career. 30 games vs 13. Then you know wins are also a stat too. People love to attribute them to qbs but win shares are not just a qb stat and demski has far more. Demski also made west division all star over baker. but yes despite all the stats that demski crushed baker in, baker put up more rec yards. demski>baker and it’s not even remotely close. Baker has a lot of football ahead of him but he’s got a long way to go to catch demski. Baker wouldn’t make the bombers roster. Woli plays a role blocking and providing very secure hands. Demski does way too much more and is better at just about everything. Baker wouldn’t get half the pass attempts in our offense.
  24. I think it’ll be much smaller in the future. Maybe 3 rounds worth of picks. So teams can get those all important height in shoes, hand width of top pick qbs and wonderlick scores.
