  1. I think taman was the key issue. Not that he couldn’t be a success but he couldn’t reign in Dave. We needed to re tool and get rid of long in the tooth vets make use of young talent etc Dave wouldn’t do that taman wouldn’t make him because Dave made taman.
  2. Every one worth 100mil is working for, or owned some one else. Nearly all privately owned sports teams are owned by ownership groups not individuals. https://3downnation.com/2023/08/16/3downnations-2023-mid-season-cfl-award-winners/ hilarious the cfl media is soo excited to see us relegated to a bottom feeder.
  3. More likely to be sacked 10 times imo
  4. He’s worth 100 mill, and closely connected to more money than most of the private owners in this league are. Are you familiar with some of the guys invested in one? Montreal, Halifax etc have frequently seen ownership groups worth a whole lot less and connected to a less than he has. He could put up an ownership group via text in about 30 seconds.
  5. Given that the board just gave jones a vote of confidence I would suspect that’s cui went to them to fire jones and they chose jones over him.
  6. Pretty much what it sounds like. Probably not chucking passes but standing well behind and visualizing taking the reps, going through some motions. That way he is fully comfortable with what ever buck changes to the play book and plans for the the first drive.
  7. Oh man it’s he sick if he got a role like that but for the league. except the board installed jones in gm and hc role before cui and the cap handicapped him in changing that. What would you have done as him?
  8. Wish cui would buy em and fire the whole board. Its gonna take some thing like that to turn that dump around.
  9. How messed up would it be if that was the case? The cap is in place because of his abuse and every one else suffers then it saves his sorry ass.
  10. Very little concern for me. He doesn’t need to practice and it only makes sense to have him take it easy. Plus to get practice reps in for brown and build a rapport with lawler and schoen. I hope Zach is healthy and hungry. Nothing like an angry collaros performance. I doubt it. That’s a dangerous play and not mafia style. If he dresses he starts imo. The fact we haven’t brought in another qb tells me we will start Zach. Boy it makes the loss of pigrome sting even more.
  11. sounds about right. I can almost see them not firing jones even if they go winless. That whole board needs to be canned. That’s true. I don’t think he was there or supported nearly enough to do a good or bad job. It’s just a massive wasted opportunity for Edmonton. They have zero chance of attracting a front office guy with a fraction of his success potential or connections.
  12. What an incredible story and career so far for dee. Hope he gets a chance to start.
  13. He’s been a beast. On much lower Carries than last year. The best rb in the league is Canadian again, and a Winnipeger. He also happens to be even better this year at blocking. He’s been phenomenal, soo happy for him
  14. I would love that move. Incredible disappointing that they fired cui but keep jones around. Edmonton may be beyond hope of improvement for a long long time.
  15. Top 2 for points surrendered for instance. Only 7 points away from Edmonton! Lol. Seriously though it’s not likely to change before the half unless east teams give up 50 per game for 2 or close to 100 for the other 2. A bad team and or D isn’t going to be bottom in all stats. By nature of being on the field more you are going to get more chances for tackles and total plays. Points against, big plays, yards per pass, average yards given up on first down, stats like that dont skew soo easy. If you are giving up a ton of points, it makes no sense to compare other defensive metrics. The opposition offence is achieving its primary goal. It doesn’t matter if you get a sack or stuff the run when you give up the score any way.
  16. Maybe even 2 loool
  17. No interpretation is needed. No speed matters. zero tolerance on hits to the head of the qb. Thats the rule. They called a horse collar on us the previous week that goes entirely against the spirit action and intent of a horse collar as well. But collaros was spun by an arm inside his name plate in the exact motion of a horse collar. If he didn’t slip out of that it could’ve been a career ending injury.
  18. You nailed it. Easy rtp. A bomber fan did a screen grab where you can see the ball out of collaros hand and not by a small margin and ealy was still on his feet. He took atleast a step then dove. Then he dropped his full body weight on a defenceless downed collaros, targeting and hitting his head. Game speed, fast forward, pause, slow mo doesn’t matter. That was a penalty several times over. exactly. Jeffcoat has been called twice for rtp on sacks where the qb ducks and goes head first into his arm. If that’s a flag every time then hitting a downed defenceless qb in the head is one too. That part should’ve been a misconduct. They should’ve penalized him twice on the play.
  19. 1 brown bomber 300 4tds in relief of the mop 2 Brady ran like a beast 3 Demski great mixed use game hh the holm pick crunch ba a bunch of big hits block Bailey looking for blood on the screen pass td awe what a dbag. The cheap shot on collaros. Honourable mentions to the long fg, the one handed stab by lawler, walker, and the ol Bailey too. Huge game from sheed
  20. Walker with the big play
  21. Elk getting away with a mugging on the ol
  22. 4 passing tds and 300 yards. Not bad brown bomber
  23. Zach after tnite good job kid. Neck feels great put the helmet down and grab a clip board
