    Jesus...
Right here in plain sight, so ******* brazen (it's almost a thing of beauty).

The most astonishing thing about trump, the brazeness... he cheats, lies, breaks the law in plain view and reveals his motivations- with millions witnessing and does it like a total boss/******* moron- repeatedly... with no reprecussions- no lasting damage... its is amazing.

I think it's important to recognize that someone can be insulting without directly insulting someone.  People who consistently ignore facts and repeat lies do a disservice to healthy discussion and tend to drive conversations into nit-picking, double-speak, whataboutism and hypocrisy.  Their arguments are disingenuous at best and dis-informative at worst.  What I feared most about a Trump presidency was not policy (although I knew he'd be destructive), but rather the lowering of political discourse to a level we've never seen.  There are no alternative facts and the truth matters.  If you cannot appreciate facts, provide them or at least comment on them beyond stale talking points, you provide no value to any discussion and are insulting the intelligence of anyone who has the misfortune to read your drivel.

Bullshit. You come running to his defence all the time with tried and true trumpism whatabouting Democrats. Now maybe you're not actually defending trump and just defending Republicans.... but it is the same thing... ir maybe you're just anti Democrat... which is the same thing. But perhaps if you don't want to be labelled as a trump supporter consider how your actions look. You don't criticize a guy who is wide open to be criticized and try and what about obama/Hillary all the time. That's straight from the trump playbook.

yes, sorry WBF - that post wasn't meant for you, I just couldn't figure out how to get rid of your quote box.  You've been great.  Thank you.  I do believe that we are able to have decent debates here, as long as all respect each other.  I have been one of the worst in that regard, but I'm trying to get better.

    Oh wow... actually not surprised:

"EL PASO, Texas - The City of El Paso is still waiting on a nearly half-million-dollar-payment from President Trump's campaign for his February 11 MAGA rally at the El Paso County Coliseum."

If only we had any clues, before he became president, that this was bound to happen... oh wait...:

I think it is your lack of criticism of trump and your defence of trump by bringing up HRC. A LOT. You may not intend on defending trump- but it certainly looks like you do.

If you are in defense of trump,  that's cool- just not my cup of tea.

Not sure it backfires politically because it applies to any presidential candidate from either party going forward.  If anything good can be said for Trump, he has exposed that guidelines, protocols and norms are not enough to ensure that a president will act in the nation's best interest.  Actual legislation is required.

This overwhelming evidence is a "hit piece".
Focus on beating him in 2020.
Ignore the laws and ignore common decency and ignore the fact that he's a white supremacist.

Hes under multiple investigations.  He has , what, 20+ credible allegations of sexual assault/harrassment.  A federal prosecutor just concluded an investigation detailing collusion and obstruction.
I mean...its one thing to willfully embrace him but to outright ignore reality?  Come on....

I don't know why either.  This is a hit piece by the NY times.  I repeat, why isn't Trump in jail?  This seems to be a spurious accusation.  Why don't the Democrats just focus on beating him in 2020?

Respectfully disagree.  When you have politicians with documented histories of grift and tax evasion who ignore established (40+ years) norms to avoid scrutiny, any measure to formalize the norms is a good one.  California is not the only state to consider this.  As the Senate is too partisan to do this federally, the responsibility rests with the states.  I'd like to see state legislation in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida (the swing states) to see real impact as Trump (or the Republican nominees that follow him) aren't going to get any electoral votes in California anyway.
  19. Thanks

She's not wrong about drone murders- she's pretty spot on with that one. She is technically correct about the "caging of children" but it's misplaced. The difference being the issue of child separation. In Obama's case the children came to the border unaccompanied in huge numbers thus running out of room to shelter them and that sheltering is required by law:
"In 2014, we saw an enormous spike compared to what usually happens every year, in the number of kids crossing alone into the United States," she said. "And we didn't have enough shelter facilities, because we had a huge increase, so kids ended up piling up in Border Patrol lock-ups, which are no places for children."
What the Obama administration did, which is what the law requires, is to find shelter facilities for those kids, which were put together by the Department of Health and Human Services. So the goal was to get kids out of the Border Patrol, into proper care by HHS, and then HHS is supposed to release them to the least restrictive setting, and in more than 80% of the cases, that was their parents who were already in the United States."
So the take away that both POTUS' caged kids is technically correct, so the issue that should be addressed is Family Separation as a cruel deterrent,
"Though the photos are nearly identical to those from 2014, there is one key difference between them: the 2014 photos showed only children who arrived at the border unaccompanied. The 2018 photos also show families that have been separated from one another."

Makes sense they picked kongbo if they don’t budget for 2 first round picks.  He will get 6 gamed which will mean only 2/3 of his salary counts against the cap.
