I'll preface this by saying I haven't looked at the CFL rule book on this, but that can't be accurate. You need to posses the ball before it's considered a catch.

I wasn't basing my statement on any type of bias against Calgary or how I would perceive it if it were involving the Bombers. I simply said, I'm not sure that was a catch and fumble. He caught it and took a step, but I'm not sure he ever secured the ball.

The main thing that concerns me is our defense. Hopefully Hall has been told to be a little more aggressive and to mix up coverage a bit. Pressure from the D line will certainly help with overall success. I don't think we can count on another year of +29 in the T/O department... But we can hope.

I'm only speculating here, obviously, but given Toby doesn't want to leave Winnipeg, I think it would be highly unlikely that he would have agreed to have the NMC removed from his contract? I still think there's a decent chance Vegas takes him, even if they can't flip him at some point this season. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Is that Carmen San Diego's side kick? I agree that Toby would be a good fit for what Vegas needs, but a lot of people are speculating that they may want to move him right away or at the trade deadline. I know Toby waived his NMC, but does that mean it's gone from the contract or was it just for the expansion draft, to help out the Jets? Can he be traded without waiving it again?
