  1. Now you're just being obtuse. If you'd like to prove how easy the concourse is to navigate using a wheelchair, I'll gladly lend you a spare one. Me, I just avoid the area at all costs because I know the area isn't accessible, and plenty of others do as well for a variety of reasons (access, safety, inconvenience, etc.).
  2. If you are going to an opposite corner, it's absolutely true. Some of the lifts or ramps can be avoided if only crossing one side. The ramps are very steep and narrow, and do not meet current building codes. The lifts are frequently broken, making it impossible to cross if you use a wheelchair. Also, many of those private buildings are locked in the evenings and on weekends, which also makes the concourse impossible to use for people with disabilities.
  3. Nope, I'm not that crazy. All I'm saying is that we shouldn't base our infrastructure decisions on the lowest common denominator. Hardly anyone drives during a blizzard, but does that mean we shouldn't have roads? There are plenty of other windy intersections that people cross at just fine.
  4. Please stop using the argument that weather will sometimes stop people from using something as an excuse to not build infrastructure. People use it a lot when it comes to P&M and dedicated bike lanes. Using that logic, there should be no baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, football fields, or beaches anywhere in Manitoba.
  5. Well, we are staying near the waterfront and our hotel is near E&C, but I was hoping something for closer to the stadium. I'll keep the Shark Club in mind, but would also like to try out something I can't get here.
  6. Question for the West Coast folks: is there a place near the stadium that Bomber fans tend to congregate, or would recommend for a pre-game meal? Going to my first Bomber road game ever, and wanna do it right.
  7. I'll jump on the STREVLER bandwagon...
  8. I'd do it for their 2019 2nd round pick. Should be good for no worse than 12th overall, and I'd love to watch an old and out of shape Durant play behind that line.
  9. That's what I was implying. He's listed at 6'0", 250 lbs. He may be able to rush the passer, but when he's giving up 70 pounds to a tackle, I'd run it at him a few times and see how he holds up.
  10. Esks have 9 Canadians listed as starters. Given that they list three import backups on the DL, I don't expect that Boateng will actually be a 'starter'. if he is, the Bombers should send a tot of runs over to that side.
  11. Who is your provider? Shaw charges me $50 for basic, plus $4 for SN and TSN, and $7 for another package with Food Network, HGTV, and History. If they let me drop the basic and just keep the packages I'd do it in a heartbeat.
  12. Yup. TSN does not provide 2.5 times the value of Netflix. By contrast, both TSN (all five of them) and Sportsnet (SN and SN1) are included in the $4 sports package on Shaw cable.
  13. Plus, if anyone in the CFL can get him to take this seriously, it's June Jones. He and Testman have the most name recognition down south. Plus, June's connection with college football in Texas will likely garner extra respect.
  14. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/brandon-fire-may-19-1.4670906 Downtown Brandon lost a few buildings this afternoon. Crazy.
  15. I think it's awesome that May Long and TC coincide this year. Forecast of sunshine and 26 for Monday!
  16. Been twice and never again. The food is awful and the shows are lame. For the price of a ticket, I could go get at least five or six regular shawarmas at SK. Way more enjoyable.
  17. Good Morning Mr. Ross. Can you give us some insight into what his college recruiting process was like? It seems like someone with two state championships under his belt would have drawn quite a bit of interest. What led him to Costal Carolina?
  18. A couple of years ago our Canadian receiver talent consisted of Kohlert and JFG. Those guys brought their lunch pails every day and gave us everything they had, but the upside was not super high. I have no issues with the resources we are throwing at improving our Canadian receiving depth, especially given the league-wide success rate of draft picks at that position.
