August 25, 201510 yr Now that we're in the right spot -- it's insanely smokey across AB right now. It looks cloudy, but it's actually sunny and just totally covered through a haze. Hard to breathe at times...lucky I work in an office.
August 25, 201510 yr Smoke has been bad here since Saturday night. It's feels and smells a lot like the third world countries I have visited like Egypt or Burma. Huge fires burning across the border right now.
August 25, 201510 yr NW Alberta (Peace River area) is not so bad today, but we've certainly had our days. Closer to the NWT border has been much worse.

August 26, 201510 yr My throat is bugging me because of it. And my eyes were burning this morning. Looks like no end in sight for the smoke here. Heading to the coast this weekend so hopefully I can get out of it for a bit.
August 26, 201510 yr Author If it makes you feel any better, there is a smoke alert in Calgary and their air quality at the moment is worse than Bejing. Bad news for asthmatics and diabetics.
