Goalie Posted October 13, 2015 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 Context is important in looking at ice time.... 20 minutes killing penalties, down 2 3 0 at one point... how often are you gonna play your 4th line when you are down by 2 or 3 goals trying to catch up... guess what, it almost worked too, Jets for as awful as they played, they were 1 shot away from tying a game they had no business being in. Every coach does that, it wasn't a blowout, Jets still had a chance, those 4th line guys don't kill penalties or play on the power play... I like Petan, I like Copp but these aren't the guys you want to put on the Ice when you are down by 3 goals trying to tie the game... You want your top 2 lines out there lots... it almost worked too. Ice time, look at the context first and it all makes sense in the end. JETS were on the PK basically for an entire period... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
