gbill2004
Do we still retain his rights? Do we know if he'll be playing OL or DL this year in university?
iso_55
So, question I had was why didn't we do that with Jade Etienne? Send him back to the U of S to play & develop instead of wasting a roster spot for him his rookie season? Seems that was the big mistake with him. DR. Canadian depth and Lapo thinking he would develop better here. Head coach Paul LaPolice believes he’d develop better in Winnipeg but didn’t close the door on Etienne going back to the Huskies. “We haven’t crossed that bridge yet,” LaPolice said. “We’ll keep seeing how our numbers are.” http://www.winnipegsun.com/2011/06/18/bombers-rave-over-rookie-etienne
iso_55
Ultimately probably cost Etienne his career. He needed more time to develop physically & mentally. Playing, having success in the CIS AFTER he was drafted, hitting the weight room hard at the U of S all through 2011 instead of being lost on the Bombers PR would have made more sense. But what's the expression? Hindsight is 50/50... DR. CFL
