Oh boy...I'll say it involved Alex Suber or one of our import OLs, with a DL or OL coming back in return.

I think it will be someone from our 1 game IR.    Suber is most likely.   Potentially Woods.    Longshot Watson.    Toronto has Durie out and Owens had an MRI yesterday, perhaps they are in the market for Watson?

Roster players rarely seem to get traded. I doubt it's roster players going BOTH ways.

 

Could we see Mulumba or Bilukidi get traded?

Watson or Suber to the Argos for some Canadian OL help? Or maybe we're getting Peach from the Stamps?

True, but after acquiring Dwight Anderson ... how much room do they really have? I didn't see a big need at DB to begin with for them, unless Drew Willy got a couple of them fired in week 1

With all the injuries in the east this year - I suspect Walters has someone boxed into a corner. Either Kent Austin or Jim Popp.

 

Not many of our PR or IR guys have that much value 1 on 1 for a starting (Top 6) OL, particularly a national.

 

However, I strongly suspect a package deal this time

 

Involving 2 bomber players going elsewhere plus some neg. rights in exchange for a quality OL (national or international). Deal is deeper for Walters if its a national OL.

 

My best guess - Watson & Suber plus neg rights to Andy Mulumba for a starting OL (who isn't currently injured). If Mulumba gets himself cut and ends up in the CFL Walters should also make the trade conditional so we get a 2nd rd pick from whoever got Mulumba.

 

Addendum: I take everything back. Totally underwhelming!!! I guess there's major concern about Brohm or Marve handling the reins should Willy go down!

I doubt Brohm or Marve are looking elsewhere. Guy is really athletic. Maybe he lines up at receiver?
