The TV Thread

Second season of Orange is the New Black launched today.

Anyone else into this?

I have to admit to being a bit of a TV/movie-phile.  I generally buy Blu-Rays when there's a movie I want to see rather than just watching it on PPV or In-demand (I like to collect).

Premium TV has really been leading a creative resurgence in recent years, probably dating back to The Sopranos.  Its nice that Netflix has become a legitimate competitor for HBO (which puts out some really great shows like Sopranos, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood etc).

House of Cards was tremendous.

While cable channels like AMC are getting in on the act, I annoys me a bit.  The Walking Dead would be so much better on Netflix or HBO where they could truly appeal to adults (HBO passed on The Walking Dead when Thomas Jane was attached).

As for Orange, it took me a few episodes to get into last season but Im looking forward to banging out a few episodes tonight.

As an aside, for you Trekies, it was recently the 20th anniversary of the finale of TNG, one of the best Series' Finales in TV history.

another day another channel that gets killed by Bell Media

thing is the damn channel came too late, by the time it launched here (and yeah I'm old enough to remember it) it wasn't really a music video channel anymore hell this was slowly becoming more of a reality tv channel (and this was before Jersey Shore but After Laguna Beach, but the Hills were starting to come alive with the sound of first world problems)

whoa how did I miss this I had no idea we were getting USA network

Season 2

and apparently she's back on Canadian Screens for the first time in 20 years, granted I would have preferred the original English dub that Wildbrain distributed 30 years ago, I don't think I'll watch I'm more nostalgic for the Irwin produced merchandise than I am for the show (I don't care how unattractive looking the dolls were at least there was merchandise produced)

man if these channels didn't cost 40 bucks a month (altogether) we'd have them year round

The weird thing is...they are free for us, at least when we switched to Rogers/Shaw half year ago. Complain.

I kind of missed the point on Silo, watched the first episode but haven't been back. Please share what you think when you are done,

Couldn't be happier to have Marty hosting the Christmas show and Rock on the 14th should be solid as well. The last time Marty solo hosted the Christmas show it was one of the best episodes ever. Can't freakin wait...

I'm on season 2 atm. People interpret season 1 differently maybe give season 1 another chance it gets more intriguing as they get to the season finale which had me rethinking what I actually thought was going on.

well damn Dejaview is on free preview too I don't remember the last time that happened (maybe 2007?)

thing is at least three of the shows currently airing on the network are on Pluto....CMT is more of a Dejaview that Dejaview is these days, hell Cheers airs on the channel too

If it’s bobby when older then you can kill of dale and Luanne easily. Just by reminiscing about them or you get new voice actors. Mel Blanc was bugs bunny. He’s dead tho and bugs still exists.

and Lucky, plus the time jump is for the best (Principal Moss's voice actor died too)

Hudson and Rex's next season finally has a premiere date.... January 14

I can do impressions. It’s really not that difficult to replace one voice actor with another.
