Second season of Orange is the New Black launched today.

 

Anyone else into this?

 

I have to admit to being a bit of a TV/movie-phile.  I generally buy Blu-Rays when there's a movie I want to see rather than just watching it on PPV or In-demand (I like to collect).

 

Premium TV has really been leading a creative resurgence in recent years, probably dating back to The Sopranos.  Its nice that Netflix has become a legitimate competitor for HBO (which puts out some really great shows like Sopranos, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood etc).

 

House of Cards was tremendous.

 

While cable channels like AMC are getting in on the act, I annoys me a bit.  The Walking Dead would be so much better on Netflix or HBO where they could truly appeal to adults (HBO passed on The Walking Dead when Thomas Jane was attached).

 

As for Orange, it took me a few episodes to get into last season but Im looking forward to banging out a few episodes tonight.

 

As an aside, for you Trekies, it was recently the 20th anniversary of the finale of TNG, one of the best Series' Finales in TV history.

Y'know, I watched the first two eps, didn't hate it, and meant to go back and I just keep forgetting. This coming weekend, I might have to do some binge-ing....

This is going to be the best of the lot. 

FAWS was meh, with bad writing. Cool to see some stuff and the plot was moved along but not much else. 

WandaVision was interesting but not great. Good things can come of it down the road. Fun but not much else. 

I enjoyed the first two series enough...I was surprised that people apparently don't like FAWS. I'll take any excuse to get more MCU storyline furthered....stoked for Black Widow....gotta keep the damn soap opera rolling.

FAWS was poorly written and didn't make sense. But, I liked some of the ideas they introduced. The action scenes were cool and I'm glad we got some closure on some things.

@17to85 is right and I know this because my confirmation bias says so. 

Yeah FAWS (apparently that's how we shorten it?) Botched their execution. It was all over the map and never gave a satisfactory resolution to anything. To much going on. 

I liked wandavision a lot more even if they too wasted some of their potential at the end.

What really needed to happen was to have old man Steve Rogers show up after episode 1 and slap the ***** out of everyone.

I have a bad feeling that this show is going to have problems staying focused in season 4
