Status report
The Lightning, who held an optional morning skate, are expected to dress the same 11-forward, seven-defenseman lineup they used in a 5-1 loss at the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday. ... James had surgery Tuesday and was placed on injured reserve; the forward left in the third period of a 6-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday following a hit by Sabres defenseman Michael Kesselring. โ€ฆ Goncalves, a defenseman, is day to day and is expected to miss his second straight game. ... Vilardi and Iafallo swap lines at right wing, but otherwise the Jets will dress the same lineup from a 3-2 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Schenn and Stanimal on the trade block

no score after 1

I canโ€™t understand why we would play the worst line to start the 2nd.

Sweet goal to end the 2nd.

Funny how they play probably one of their best games of the Year without Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn.

Reports are in that Buffalo has acquired both D. I wonder what we get in return

Great lets develop him, power thru his learning curve to come out the other side but wait lets trade him away for some pucks, sticks and tape when he's finally hitting his stride.

Or we made off like bandits, great job Chevy?

Question is how much would you pay him to be a 3rd pairing defensemen? Its not just about developing and keeping him, at the free agent stage, the number has to make sense.

Fair but itโ€™s seems a lot of assumptions are in play here. Like, do we know for a fact that Chevy believed LS has hit his ceiling and had him pencilled in as a 3rd pairing D moving forward and do we know what the number LS and his agent werenโ€™t willing to budge from to re-sign to determine whether keeping him made sense or not?
