Pionk puts the jets on the board

Jets have dug themselves a hole, and missed on a lot of good looks before Pionk scored. Need to play a simpler game.

Jets dominating on the cycle, but one breakdown leads to a goal against. But Gagner gets it back to a 2 goal deficit. All four lines controlling the zone this period.

Another dominant cycle shift from the Wheeler-Scheifele-Perfetti line results in a Nate Schmidt goal and we have a game again.

A bone-headed play on the penalty kill by Lowry when he doesn’t clear the zone costs the Jets again. Just killing themselves tonight.

Fly scores to make it 5-4.

And another shitty goal given up. 6-4.

I guess 6 wins in a row is something they don't want.

eh there was a little more than 5 to go it still counts

Two games with an embarrassing defensive effort.  11 goals against.   We had no business being in this game.

No excuses, but apparently there's a bad cold/flu virus going through the locker room and a bunch of guys are playing quite sick...

This would make sense based on how streaky the team's play has been the last two games.

That was a tough one to stomach last night.

well at least the Jets tried to fight back (otherwise I wouldn't have posted the Andrea)

Did the Jets play a solid game?  Definitely not; especially defensively, but with the chances they had, they could have put up 8-10 goals last night.  Easily.  And it seemed everything the Wings threw at the net, went in.  Kind of one of those nights.

Hopefully the sick guys can get healthy and we’ll see a more focused effort tomorrow.

But we kinda dominated for 2 periods

If the Jets could hit the net, 10 5 10 6 really
