What Changes do the Bombers Need this Off-season to Improve the Team?

With this off-season, what changes would you like to see? What types of changes do you think would vault us into elite status? Please share.

....And the trifecta is complete- one thread for ranting, showing appreciation and now one for improvements.

Some Notes from replies (pg 1):

  • More Aggressive D-co-ordinator
  • Better MLB
  • Better SAM
  • Better Scouting
  • Game breaking WR
  • better Back-up QBs
  • Quality National CB
  • a Finch type of returner (Fast as ****)
  • Keep acquiring new people all season long
  • Let the coach adjust to the personnel's strengths and weaknesses
  • talent trumps attitude

  • I'm operating under the assumption his career is going to be over, Achilles at 30+ years old in an athletically demanding position ... Unfortunate I hope he wants to and can come back. My favorit

  • Defensive co-ordinator first and foremost...though if Hall would change his philosophy on defence, and utilize the tools in the tool box this wouldn't be an issue, but as it goes in  footbal co-ordina

  • 1.  New DC 2.  Backup QB 3.  Bigger, faster import receivers  4.  MLB 5.  At least one more DHB or CB

No, padded practices were a team's choice to either have or not have and IIRC, the Stampeders have chosen not to for some time. You can't tell me 17 (at most - that's not even one per week) padded practices over the course of an entire season is the difference between proper tackling and not.

That's my point.  It isn't & the level of great tackling has diminished. Some teams are better than others now but as the seasons progress & players come & go, it should all even out I'd think.

Anyway, let's get back to the topic here.

Ok.. But... Regarding tackling... The bombers have obviously been coached up.. Probably by hall to go for the strip always... U see it several times a game... Bomber in position to make tackle.. Instead goes for ball and is carried for 4 yards or 5 or 15.. It happened every game.
