D Johnson as well has taken reps in the middle, has played it in the past as well. Bass, Johnson and Randle would do more than what we have going on now. If Wild comes back maybe put him in Randles spot and put him back on the corner. He is more valuable there than where he is now.
Wild simply can not play sam, would be the worst sam in the cfl

It goes to amateur football but the rifles junior team gets it. The 50 50 is the only reason the team is still going and they make enough off it to break even ever yer.

I'm not sure but hasn't Demski had injury issues in the past? Perhaps with the same shoulder? I wonder when he hurt it, was it after the big run? was it being tackled or was it celebrating the big run by throwing his arms up in the air? If so, it's just another fluke injury.

So i was at the game and just watched the game twice on the tsn feed.
My take on the D.
A lot of mistakes that caused big plays. Some mental some physical some just lack of experience. I.e. Adams getting picked by bass on the Taj smith TD. A bad switch call from wash on the 2 point play
Start with the D line
Thought Gibson played better than Peach
I know a lot of ppl love Anderson but with turner dropping weight I think Anderson playing the 1 tech simple does not work. Brendon Labatte and the interior guys out played our 2 dts by a mile. My biggest worry is the DTs in the run game
Lacks of pressure was not great but think westerman will get better as the season goes on same with Gibson

This could be called the good bad and ugly. They made some plays they did not make others, a lot of 5 man fronts in this game with a lb walking down. Thought hurl was better than bass some may find that hard to believe. Both have to improve to win games big time and think they can. We were just short on blitzes from these guys.

Strength of this D. With the new rules giving up a lot of yards passing is going to be a norm. Two big plays both I think mental mistakes but a lot of zone and lack of pi's. Happy with there play and only get better with moe back

Can any one recall a rookie american QB coming in on any deal (little on a 3 year deal) being healthy, getting virtually no team reps in TC and not a single play in pre season? I sure cant. But ive seen us and other teams do this on the regular with canadian qbs. Come in, throw what drills we need, hold a clip board and well let you know if we need you to go get us some coffee.
What needs to change is the ratio rules. This is the canadian game. We have the ratio rules in place to protect and preserve canadian talent in the game. Its time to adjust this age old loop hole. They went nuts with stupid changes in the off season, no reason not to do this now. maybe a canadian starter at qb counts as a canadian starter, or even a back up canadian qb gives you an extra DI spot.

but 3 years of tape, brought him in last years TC, then to mini camp this year where hes told he outplayed the american qbs brought in then brought to this years TC, but is given no opportunity to compete and then written off? again why bring him in at all? OR if hes just there for injury insurance why not make that perfectly clear?
if he is so good another team will pick him up. No way a kid fresh out of the CIS is better than 4 qbs with ncaa/nfl/cfl reps

how do we know what his ceiling is without giving him at least a fair shake vs next to nothing at this level. Seems Portis was getting reps ahead of marve last few practices before game 2, did the team suddenly become unready since the now PR qb took reps in place of our #3?
They have 3 years of tape on him. Simply not good enough, also heard he did not leave in the most pro way after being cut

Damn. Too bad about Anderson- a good guy who gave us the push we need up the middle when he was healthy, and I am not sure we have anyone on the roster who can give us an equal presence.

I am honestly not sure but I don't see Rempel bringing a lot to the table outside of long snapper either. Cronk is 27, Rempel is 33. If Cronk can do the job well you gotta think age would be on his side.
Remple is world class at what he does and cronk is average

It's the same defence in general. It's Halls scheme in both Regina and Winnipeg. So another fail for you.
Or different scheme, different defence in general, different players around him...One of the big reasons Hurl signed with us in the first place is because he would be given a chance to start here. The Riders, who've seen Hurl daily for 3 years and had him as a starter for 5 games, don't see him as a starter. Either they are wrong, or we are wrong, or it takes a different level of talent to be a Bomber starter than a Rider starter.
But yea, you are right.. It's just a simple they are right or we are wrong...
Smh.

Good call. I think if we signed him now his contract would be guaranteed for the season. So maybe the Bombers give him a look once the season starts, if Stoudermire's injury lingers and if none of the in house guys look good...Tim Brown is stil available
I have to believe with the talent the Bombers brought to camp this year a replacement player is already in house. If they have to use a player heading for the PR to temporarily hold the position until Stoudermire returns it's not the end of the world. Anyone know if Reaves was given a look at this position?
The guy cant really catch a football constinley yet in the pass game ,no chance we let him try to catch one in the kicking game
