For one year in their prime? Roberts.
For a decade? Harris.

It'll be key to get a solid pass rush going and put the pressure on Durant early on tonight - he's less effective when he's off his game. Offensively, Harris needs more touches on the ground to establish a balanced attack and open things up a bit. Nichols has to be better and more sure of himself, too. I expect ST will be good tonight and I'm hopeful Fogg will get in on punt returns. Expect a big bounce-back game from Medlock.
Basically, copy what was done in week 4 vs. the Argonauts and I think our boys will be golden.
I agree with this 100%

BB, I disagree with your premise that Durant is better than Nichols. That may well have been true if Durant was at the top of his career, but I would take Nichols tonight every time. Our overall talent is better but that means squat when the whistle blows to start the kickoff. It all comes down to execution and the truth is that we have a crappy defence, not on paper but in performance. Time for the team to prove it is a contender, and there is no reason for the Big Blue to lose this one.
If all else is equal and I need to win a game I'll take Durant over Nichols as my QB.

I'll take your word for it. Canadian linemen seem to be safer than skill guys. I don't follow the CIS in the least bit. The last game I saw was the 2011 Vanier when I stumbled (literally) into BC place with free tickets. I'll keep my eyes open for the guys playing in the states.

It's really a shame that his kids seem to know little or nothing about his career as a Bomber. If he had played in the NFL he'd have been a legend. It really is unfortunate & this celebration of his playing days will help shed more light on his playing days for his adult kids
Hmm... Lol

I like the idea of taking the RB with Toronto's pick and hope he can replace Harris in a couple of years. Wishful thinking.

My buddy was at practice today and said the store had discounted all the Willy shirts...

Can't really complain after another road win. I do hope that next time if they get those kinds of early opportunities to blow a game open they capitalize instead of settling for FGs. 9-0 quickly became a deficit last night.

As for having no SMS advantage because we took Willy off the 6-game, well duh, Nichols will be on the 6-game so his salary is off the books.
Unless Nichols is just playing awful and we've lost 3 games in a row and we need to start our backup QB.

I don't see how it hurts Willy at all. He's obviously not going to remain under a 400k+ contract if he doesn't regain his starting job this season. However he will easily get a new contract somewhere (maybe here?) as a backup.
Minus the ego, it has a Casey Printers feel to it IMO. If Willy can swallow his pride and take a MAJOR pay cut in the off-season then you're right it won't hurt him at all. Extra emphasis on major unless he gets into some games and plays well this year.

It looks like Willy's raise is the worst thing that both Walters and Willy have done in their CFL careers if in fact Willy has priced himself out of a job during the "prime" of his career. The off-season will be interesting to see what happens regarding his contract.

you don't find spots for anyone until they earn it back. The days of the country club at Canad Inns need to be over.
I think Randle gets his spot back without any further "earning." I figure Roberts is the first one to get pushed out of the starting lineup , Adams will need to work his way back in.

Maybe a playoff team will make us an offer for Willy when their starter goes down.

Excellent thanks man. You're the exact size I am so that's perfect.
I already had a large, so if I need to wear one in colder weather, I've got that. This time I want something a bit more fitting. Thanks DG.
No problem. Now we better stop talking about clothing sizes on this jersey thread so we can all salvage some dignity

Before this thread devolves any further into matching shoes and purses I suggest the Mods. put a swift end to it to save our frickin' dignity. If a Rider poster ever gets hold of it we'll never live it down...
Insecure much?

I have a question. I'm not a fan of wearing my jersey's baggy. I like them the same size as a tshirt. I have an old Stegall jersey at home, which I think is a large (but feels bigger then a large), but I'm a thin guy and wanted something a bit more fitting. Are the mediums the same size as a regular tshirt medium? I know sizes are variant depending on which brand you go with, but I'm just wondering if jersey's are the same or bigger then normal tshirt sizes. I'm just wondering if I'd have to go small or not.
I'm not a fan of wearing a jersey baggy either. I wear a medium t-shirt and a small jersey. It fits similar to a t-shirt, its just a bit longer. I can still wear a hoodie underneath if its cold out and its not too tight. I'm 5'10" 145-150 lbs. Hope that helps you out.

I wonder why Leggett wasn't in those blue pants today.

Another positive about going back to royal blue is that when the league introduces a new retro series, which I assume will happen in a few years, we will be able to go way back to some old uniforms as opposed to royal blue which I never considered "retro." I always considered the 70s & 80s re-creations as "should be."
Or we will see a 90s retro series... -
The font for the names is different. I like it.

I think the gold helmet helps the blue shoulders, unlike Edmonton's green

Well with a minute left in the first quarter they're on pace for a little over 24 total points.
