I think the story is more about the media making Laine and Matthews sound a lot closer than they are. I think Puljujarvi is actually being ignored in all of the hoopla. I think Laine and JP are closer than most people realize. It's just that Laine is the guy everybody saw recently, Puljujarvi was just the guy ripping up the under 19's in Grand Forks with a broken finger.

Wrestling
I don't either but Live on Tuesday, 2 hours. I may just start watching it. I have a feeling Smackdown will be the better brand. Especially if HHH and Ward are the guys in charge. I could see Smackdown becoming much easier to watch. It's pretty tough to sit through 3 hours of RAW. Smackdown? 2 hours, Live, probably have the better wrestling talent on that roster, yeah, i'd start to watch for sure. No plans to start watching? what if Smackdown turns out to be the better show? Still no plans? why not? I think it's very possible that Smackdown becomes the show that more people watch, 2 hours is so much easier to sit through than 3.

Telegin had a great world championships and that played a role but there is no room for him on the Jets and no, I don't think Finland naming Laine makes the decision any easier for the Jets. The Jets don't really care what Team Finland does. It shouldn't factor in to their decision at all. Jets will take one of Laine or Pulju but... to say for sure who that guy is today, is just a total guess. Wouldn't shock me if they took Laine, and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they liked the all around 200 foot game of Pulju more.

Moose Head Coach
Exactly what TUP said there in terms of how they expect the AHL team to operate here vs in St Johns. If you listen to Chevy talk, he basically, without saying it, says why McCambridge was let go, very subtly but listen to his interview he did.

Moose Head Coach
Because he refused to play the Jets way, the Moose did not play the same systems the Jets played, Actually a few games I went too, the Moose coach sat out some of the Jets prospects in favor of non Jets prospects. The Moose are the developmental team of the Jets and if you have a coach who refuses to accept that, it doesn't work. McCambridge was an OK coach but... the fact is he refused to play the system the Jets wanted him to play. He played players on PTO's over guys the Jets had drafted. a guy like Nic Petan was playing 3rd line minutes for most the Moose year, he wasn't playing 20 minutes a night most nights. It basically comes down to this and it's about as simple as i can put it... there was a huge difference between the Jets and McCambridge in terms of what they want the Moose to be. You can figure out most things for yourself, I mentioned the more obvious ones. Just a huge difference of opinion in terms of what the Moose should be. Moose need to be the Jets developmental squad and to an extent, McCambridge was playing more and more of the so called Veterans over the kids. Guys like MacWilliam and Albert got more minutes than guys like Morrissey and Petan. That's a problem, especially when "IT ALL STARTS HERE".

Rookie Camp
Bombers are still 2 guys over the limit apparently so i think much like Jernigan, this is just a transaction to help them get down to the limit a bit easier.

He is a UFA in 3 years, the Jets window to win isn't in 3 years, Gotta stop kidding ourselves that the Jets are gonna be contenders this season or even next, to give up all those young players who actually fit in to this team is just crazy. The Jets are building for the future, not for the present. They are in a rebuild of sorts, trading for McDonagh, perhaps if the team was closer to competing but they aren't. Sure, he would be great to have on the Jets but i'm not willing to overpay for a guy who quite frankly, doesn't really help us win right now. If we were on the cusp of turning things around and about to become legit contenders for the playoffs, sure, DO IT... but we aren't. We aren't there yet and won't be for a couple more years probably.

I have to admit that reading the dirt sheets if you will and all the possible rumors I've read... this brand split might be quite interestingto say the least. Hearing Reigns on raw. Cena on Smackdown

2016 Playoffs
Pens win. Stamkos returns and Tampa Bay has arguably it's worst game of the playoffs. 20 shots on goal aren't going to do it.

Jesse Puljujärvi
It's funny you say another Blake Wheeler cuz lots of people compare Puljujarvi to Wheeler

Buffalo fans are trying to trade bogo and have realized kane is not ever gonna reach his potential.

Moose Head Coach
Vincent was a pretty good junior coach b4 joining the Jets so this might be good for the young moose

Dubois has never played center either BTW

Pass. Just no interest at all. Plus McD has a NMC. Wpg is on the list for sure
-
Moose Head Coach
Vincent confirmed by Dreger as coach. That's unfortunate but on the plus side he won't be running the Jets pp and pk anymore

Congrats Brandon Wheat Kings
In the NHL especially, I'd say it's more about luck and getting on a hot streak than anything else. 8th seeds have made Stanley Cup Finals... it's just so random. I mean, Last year did the first round not feature Chicago vs ST Louis and LA vs SJ... I mean that right there are 4 very good teams and 2 didn't make it to the second round last year... It's just so random. Injuries play a role for sure, but definitely the seeding plays a huge role especially in the NHL.

2016 Top 10 Mock Draft
Yeah. Laine won't be converted to a center, he's a natural goal scoring winger. Pulju to center especially if CBJ takes him makes sense, they really don't have much Centers at all there. Like None really, they gave up RyJo who was their number 1 center.

Congrats Brandon Wheat Kings
I just don't agree with that. Sometimes, the best teams don't always win. Sometimes it's the teams that get hot at the right time. San Jose is a perfect example of that. They are a good team but even if they win the cup, I still don't think they were the best team. They might be the team that lifts the Stanley Cup, but in my opinion, winning the Stanley Cup doesn't really mean you were the best team in the league. Just like Winning the NBA title or MLB title or any sports title doesn't make you the best team in that league. I go back to the Grey Cup, was really young but a 14-4 Bomber Team lost to an 8-10 Calgary Team in the finals. To say Calgary was the best team that year when the bombers were 14-4? I just can't do it.

It's not Armia vs Dano. It's just a discussion. Interesting things about these topics is you don't have to participate in them.

Moose Head Coach
I'll go with a few guesses tho... McCrimmon is one, i don't think it will be him, i just think the timing makes me wonder if maybe it is. Mike Yeo is another guess. Former Minny head coach. The other one, Pascal Vincent, I hope it's not, i think that would be a bit of a letdown.
-
Moose Head Coach
Perhaps he wants to stay in Manitoba. Perhaps the Leafs offer was different than the Jets one. Maybe the Leafs wanted him to give up ownership of the WheatKings, maybe the Jets don't. Lots of possibilities here. Do I think it's McCrimmon? Probably not. Would it shock me if it was? Not really.

Congrats Brandon Wheat Kings
Best team wins? Every league. Every playoffs? Explain Washington. They were the best NHL team all year. Look at Golden State in the NBA..they lost 9 games all year and are gonna lose to OKC and not even make the finals. This tournament is somewhat of a joke seeing as tho the team that hosts the tournament automatically gets a spot in the tournament.. Brandon are WHL champs and that's all they really care about. The Memorial Cup is cool and all but... being WHL champs is a bigger deal.
-
Moose Head Coach
Maybe. Maybe not. The Timing is quite interesting tho.
-
Moose Head Coach
No but I find the timing interesting considering Brandon was knocked out of the memorial cup last night. McCrimmon maybe

Around the NHL
Jets Win the trade by getting rid of a guy who didn't want to be here. Standings? Put jets in the east and they make the playoffs probably. Jets owned the east. Anyways tho. Moose to name new head coach tomorrow at 10. Interesting to note that Brandon was knocked out of the memorial cup last night.
