Jets send out qualifying offers to Helle Tanev Copp and Lipon Kosmachuk Howden and Olsen do not get one and become UFA. Nail Yakupov didnt get a QO from the Blues meaning hes UFA also (no interest in him at all)

And who are they to argue really. Jets have a very good track record in scouting. Them being ranked last over Montreal Ottawa Toronto and even Edmonton is pretty much a joke. Elliott will be a good mentor for Helle and is very good in a tandem role. If true... Our goaltending will improve. I also think with a capable vet like Elliott Helle will be better also as he really was thrown to the wolves last year with very little to no help from Hutch and Pav for that matter.

He had pretty decent numbers in Edmonton minus 1 season. Condidering the crap team he played behind. He played more than 30 games for the oilers 4 seasons... His save percentage in those 4 seasons were 916. 914. 921. And his last year there... 894. Those are good numbers actually.

I highly doubt we would have taken Foote so im not sure why his name is thrown around. Every mock i saw had Valimaki going to the Jets. Foote? Has anyone watched him play cuz if you did... Youd realize hes an RHD.

Goalies are voodoo. Some of the best ones were late round picks. Not much is known about holm tho. You should find hellebuycks write up when he was drafted... Similar to the Dallas pick but better numbers.

You know what happens when you draft based on needs? Ask Carolina who took Hayden Fleury (probably a bottom pair d man) who is playing in the AHL over guys like Nylander and Ehlers.

There comes a point where you just need to let it go... I think that point was several pages ago. Enstrom is a Jet... Future superstar foote valimaki brannstrom vakainenen are not. Man.. Since who drafts for need in the first round when none of these guys outside of maybe hischier and maybe patrick will actually play in the league in the next 2 or 3 years. There are plenty of things to criticize chevy about. Losing thorburn and moving down 11 spots isnt one of them. As for enstrom he sucks so bad that real insiders like dreger bobby mac and friedman were all convinced vegas would take him.
