  1. not a terrible game called by dinwiddie, i think the als problems are a lot deeper than just the OC. who is their qb right now? alex brink is in the game, doesn't that tell you what the real problem there is?
  2. I think i blame management and coaches first then the players. I think if you have a good coaching staff, that staff eliminates the cancers.. if you have good management, you don't hire crappy coaches.
  3. Cancers? Turner has been with the team for a few seasons now so he probably isn't just referring to last season. Here's my best guess as to who "the cancers" on this team were the last couple years. Joe Mack, Tim Burke, Jovon,Hef,Stewart,Goltz, Gonna say Max Hall, didn't really seem like a leader out there, kind of Kevin Glenn ish, not a shot at Glenn, but.. basically blamed others and never himself really. Elliot, yup mr sucked crap in a game and then said thought he played well, Crowton, Creehan, I can probably go on and on but there's not point as those players, management and coaches are no longer here. Buchko even. Probably Lapolice as he liked to micro manage too much. The list goes on and on and on really for a few years. I will admit that the last few seasons, our team seemed to play as individuals and not as a team, cared more about personal stats where as this years team, they all say the same thing, the message is clear, we win as a team, we lose as a team. Last few years (several really)(going back to mike kelly even) it was the opposite. i would say that is on management and coaches first and then on some of the players that i'm sure we are all aware of.
  4. I'm a little surprised Donovan Kemp hasn't been given a shot yet... No worries there still a lot of games left to be played, we're just in our 6th. Let the vets worked their butts off and help this team get wins in the early going. That will buy these PR guys enough time to learn the CFL and the team's schemes. Continuity is very important to O'shea and so far it's doing us good. They will get their chances sooner or later. How does bringing in Romby Bryant after three games, starting him at WR and then moving him to SB for game 6 fall under 'continuity'? I guess you missed the part where Nick Moore won't be playing this week, injuries effect continuity.
  5. swiston and cotton i'm guessing.
  6. CFL News @CFL_News Source tells me #Bombers have added troubled Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon to the neg list. #CFL via @SUNMitchell Interesting little note there. If this guy could get his stuff together, he could be pretty solid, doubt it ever happens, by that i mean i doubt he ever comes here but if he does and gets his stuff together, could be quite the interesting move.
  7. popp just signed an extension this past off season so there goes that theory.
  8. And you still think Chevy is doing a good job?? Wow. 3 years on the job and hasn't given us a team that is even close to the playoffs. Wonderful.. Don't worry, I already know the response. "It would have been impossible for Chevy to turn this team around in 3 years." What an absolute loser mentality. Anyways, you are totally missing the point. A couple free agents would make this team better. Its not about winning in the playoffs or not, it's simply about making the team better. What argument do you have against making the team better by signing a couple players? What about names those couple players.
  9. If you truly feel we are one or 2 pieces and free agent pieces at that away from making the playoffs... I honestly don't know what to say.. I think you are kind of kidding yourself a bit there though. I guess, fact is... we aren't even close. Not sure why you think a team who couldn't make the playoffs in the weakest division in all of sports before (the southeast) has a chance or is one or 2 pieces away from making it in one of the toughest divisions in hockey now... I guess, why do you think a team who basically finishes .500 is one or 2 players away from winning in the play-offs?
  10. it's a depth move, who is available out there right now? care to tell us? I'll give you a hint, It's nobody at all. Not a huge fan of this move but... it's just a depth move, another 2 way deal... not sure why every move needs to be a huge move, guess we have some (one??) guy on here who wants us to go the maple leafs or philly route and try to buy our way in to the playoffs only to miss it the year after.. is making the playoffs the goal? or is making the playoffs and having a chance to actually win in the playoffs the goal? Cuz man i'd feel sooo much better if we made the playoffs and got swept in 4 straight games. That would definitely mean a step in the right direction, getting embarrassed in the play-offs. Hope that happens soon so people seriously shut up.. but it won't and for the long term of the franchise, it's best that we miss the playoffs again, We aren't good enough to compete with the elite teams, that's gonna take some time, we aren't there... not sure why anyone honestly thought we would or even could be in 3 seasons.
  11. he's here to coach kids. He aint playing with the bombers or coaching with the team. Seriously.
  12. short week, only 2 practices, leave tomorrow... best to let these probably nagging injuries rest up rather than risking further worse damage. Just a foot injury now, probably back next week but if he played, it could get worse.
  13. Give your head a shake man, yer playing too many video games. Nobody that plays professional football is a "pansy". Would you like to be steam rolled by a 300 lb. lineman? Doubt it. maybe a little too much but his last line seems to be the M.O. on Kevin Glenn... You hit the guy early and he turtles all game. <--- that seems to be the case.
  14. Nick Moore out vs hamilton.
  15. Working on a long term deal, can't sign it until after January 1st, both sides wanted to AVOID arbitration because arbitration can and does get ugly. Maybe he signs, maybe he doesn't, gut tells me though that he will sign a long term extension coming January 1st. Based on Chevys conference call and what Walsh has said, i think it's just a matter of time before he is signed long term. Chevy said 5 years is what they are both hoping for.
  16. You look at the number 2 QB'S in the league as a whole and man there is not much there really.. Outside of Tate in Calgary.. It's a bunch of really "unproven guys" BC: Since Glenn is the starter, Beck aint anything special. Is there any guarantee Lulay is even back this season? Not a bad 1/2 if Lulay is healthy but... he's not... Edmonton: Reilly.. Nichols isn't that proven at all either, the only thing that is proven when Nichols plays is he gets hurt badly most times.. That's not a shot cuz i like the guy and hope to see him do well but... Not exactly proven Calgary.. Like i said outside of Calgary Sask: Durant is solid but behind him is unproven Tino Sunseri. Wpg: Brohm. Toronto has Harris, he's looked good in limited reps but... hasn't proven anything either Hamilton? Lefevour now and who? Masoli? Not much experience there Ottawa, behind burris you got demarco who did not look good in the pre-season at all, has experience last year with BC but... Ottawa aint BC. Montreal; Smith has less than a year in the league, Marsh too really.. Brink is their most experienced QB.
  17. Not convinced about Cotton cuz all of you guys on here hype him way way too much, nothing to do with his 1 carry or his inability to catch kick returns vs Edmonton, just that generally when this many of you on a forum hype a guy, he doesn't last long. Really not convinced Grigsby is the problem, I'm not really sure what Cotton could do without much blocking either, All RB'S need some help, Grigsby hasn't got much the last couple weeks and I doubt it changes if Cotton plays. One would think if Cotton was that much better than Grigsby, he would be playing but he's not.. This dislike of Grigsby has been going on for some time with some of you on here, dating all the way back to when they signed him in the first place.
  18. How bout sit Grigsby and Cotton, they both have played so far, roster bolton and see what he can do instead. Not convinced about Grigsby or Cotton
  19. Why am i eliminated? i didn't play the last 2 weeks
  20. Ford had a solid game, solid first half i should say, kind of slowed down in the second but good for Ford, good guy and glad he got a chance. I don't really think he is an every down back though and one good game doesn't change that, Don't think Grigsby is either, not so sure Cotton is either for that matter but... Good on GodsWill for having a good debut.
  21. Agreed. Most those big gains by Reilly, he was pretty much stopped behind the line of scrimmage or really maybe he would have gained 2 or 3 yards instead of the 10-20 he did gain, Did a better job of tackling this past week although the earnest jackson catch and run was a little embarrassing. Did we really get killed by Edmonton even? I mean he see people on here calling it a blow out? was it though? Or was it just a bad game for us, Edmonton wasn't that great really, thought both teams played pretty bad actually, If we could have tackled Reilly, man that game would have been like 10-3 final. LOL Hamilton? not so worried, Contain Lefevour and we should win this one easily, didn't think Hamilton was as good as they were last year, don't think they are as bad as they have been this year but, gonna say this is probably not as close as some are expecting it to be. Really don't think Hamilton beating Ottawa means anything.
  22. Should be special teams player of the week no? maybe top Canadian also, was quite the performance, on the 51 yarder, looked like he had 5 maybe 6 or 7 yards to spare too. Has quite the leg, doubt he's NFL bound, but... wouldn't shock me if we don't see Mike Renaud back.
  23. Yes because of basically everything 17to85 just said.
  24. Darrell Romuld (CTV) @CTVDarrell 20-year-old claims record $348,000 jackpot during 50/50 draw at Edmonton Eskimos game http://ow.ly/zALzf That's a nice day at the ballpark for sure.
  25. 26-22 right? calgary got 7 on that silly turnover late in the first half, really dumb play in my opinion, not so bad if you are at your own 40 or 50 but in your own end zone? It's a dumb play call, don't care how close he was to getting it or not, fact is, he didn't get it, can talk about bad placement all you want but apparent on the tv replay, they got the call and spot right.. he was down where they marked him down, you mean 40,000 eskimo fans disagreed? no kidding. But you lose by 4 and you give up 7 there instead of nothing? or maybe 3.. yeah it's a call that cost them the game for sure. Theres being ballsy and then there's being just stupid, that play call to fake punt out of the endzone with 20 seconds to go in the half was stupid.
