Around The League Off Season Discussion

I see some Riderfans are now predicting that with this firing the Esks. are well positioned to "**** the bed".....while being completely oblivious to the peril of their own team waking up with stinky blankets. The collection of delusional characters that assemble there daily to rip each other up and shred logic is endlessly fascinating and a wee bit morbid to witness. -
That's right, I remember raking my lawn the day before the blizzard hit.

Sean Fleming Let's be clear, this move was strictly all about Rhodes' ego and the negotiations to extend Ed's contract which were initiated by the organization. - Ed was looking to be paid market rate for GMs in the league, which is a reasonable ask, given his success and how he handled the staff exodus last season. Rhodes took issue with that since it would mean Ed would be making more than Rhodes, a point he raised with Ed. - Ed was looking for a bump up in title to President of Football Operations. That didn't sit well with Rhodes. - Rhodes didn't like the fact that Terry Jones was publically calling Rhodes weak by stating that football ops was running the show in Edmonton and across the league. In the meantime, attendance continues to drop under Rhodes' leadership on the business side. This coming from a guy who brought you the concert series with Vanilla Ice as a way to increase attendance. To blame that on Ed when he is putting a winning product on the field is an attempt to pass the buck. All the rest of the excuses Rhodes is trying to peddle is just an attempt to backfill. Why entering into negotiations to extend if you have been looking to replace him since January? A total contradiction. -

Agreed it could be financial, the CFL auditors were supposed to release their cap accounting for 2016 this past Weds., so far nothing has been released. -
McLeod John Baltazar Bethel-Thompson accounts for two spots unto himself.

Ok, I admit, I have a prejudice against drafting any receivers coming out of Sask. Sue me.
-
Another tall skinny receiver from Sask.? Uh no thanks.

I could have my storms mixed up but wasn't that the one that dumped snow pellets for 24 hours non-stop on top of the 3 ft. of snow that was already laying on the ground? I just remember attempting to shovel the walk and not being able to throw the heavy snow high enough to clear the sides. It all melted within a couple of days anyways and brought on massive flooding.

I'd be all in on Crompton it if the Bombers hadn't already signed LeFevour. What I picked up from watching him was that he was primarily a smart QB who got things done, despite his multitude of critics. Queue forms below.

Do they have a contract with a school division for school bus rental or are they provided through a private school bus service such as King Transport? -

Bombers Release Financial Report Ahead Of Fan Open House
Fatty Liver replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Time for the Bombers to eliminate the transit subsidy, fans now know where the buses are and how to use them. Now it's time for them to pay to use them. "The WFC continues to incur significant costs, especially compared to other clubs in the League, for game day transportation to and from the stadium that results from charges imposed by Winnipeg Transit and other third party providers. The Club continues to work with the stakeholders of the Integrated Transportation Plan Agreement to address this ongoing cost burden." -
Did someone mention Frau Blucher?

Is a rock through a window acceptable? I told her it wasn't but would she ever listen.....no, never... -
Looks like those Somalis mostly live in mud huts and have sticks so they must qualify as a threat to the USA. Good to go.

Until they have snipers on the rooftop I won't feel safe taking my "precious" to a football game. Unruly hooligans galore.

CFL Headlines @CFL_Headlines Edwards: Stamps’ Tommie Campbell says drug charges against him have been dropped https://goo.gl/fb/JNmyo2 Stamps' Tommie Campbell says drug charges against him have been dropped - 3DownNation According to Calgary Stampeders defensive back Tommie Campbell, all charges against him have been dropped. All charges dropped. I’ll be making a statement at a later date. 3downnation.com -
McDuffie was also productive when given the opportunity to play receiver mid-season. I agree about Mayo and they should be able to pick him up after the Riders cut him if they still want him. They kept Shepherd over Mayo but he hasn't shown as much as a receiver IMO, despite being better on ST.

Buck may double. -
I wonder where the job opportunity is? Wpg., Sask, N.D. ....anyone know where he spent his off-season working?

Ryan Smith ✔ @ryguy_4 Thank you to everyone! Retirement statement:

First choice being McDuffie but I don't see him being cut by Dallas based on his return abilities. Wait for the Riders to cut a receiver or better yet send Neufeld home for a receiver (not Owens) and one of their first round picks.
