  1. ...and was grateful that he did, he said his career would have only lasted a couple of years had he stuck to playing D-line.
  2. True enough, but teams won't continually bring the house against a QB they fear, as it leaves their back end vulnerable to exploitation, Having Harris in the backfield should also give them pause for thought, Willy just has to have the patience to take what is given and play cat and mouse with them all game long if necessary. It works for Ricky Ray.
  3. The book on Wpg. has already been written, pressure the QB and they melt. Hopefully making good use of Harris, Smith and Dressler to counteract blitzes a new chapter can be written. We shall see.
  4. AR 15 sales rocket after Orlando massacre. 'We normally sell two a day, today we are selling up to 15 an hour': Georgia gun shop reports soaring AR 15 sales while Pennsylvania dealer has sold 15,000 since Orlando massacre http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3641508/We-normally-sell-two-day-today-selling-15-hour-Georgia-gun-shop-reports-soaring-AR-15-sales-Pennsylvania-dealer-sold-15-000-Orlando-massacre.html#ixzz4Blrvkrbs
  5. http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/16/europe/british-mp-jo-cox-attacked/index.html A British MP was killed today by a man yelling "put Britain first". Under the circumstances, I guess this constitutes an act of terrorism as well. If I ever seek out my "moment in the sun" I think I'll be yelling "Go Bombers Go" before they gun me down....yah, "Bring back Joe Mack" wouldn't be a good epitaph.
  6. Thanks, any report on Jace Davis today?
  7. Never heard of the guy, I imagine he was terminated shortly after that rant?
  8. No chance they are going to lose Butcher, still lots of obvious decisions they have to make for the next cut down. Keep the best imports at each specific position and hang onto the Natls. with the best long-term potential. Simple. :-) Doesn't look like they will cut any of last years starters that survived the off-season purge unless Jace Daniels is displaced, most of the cuts will be new TC invitees vying for open positions. A few non-starting Natls. such as Louie Richardson, JFG, Morgan, Jones, Briggs, Normand, Bastien or Cronk could be displaced by Natls. with more upside if the numbers call for it but many of them are valuable on ST. They have to give Corney, Butcher, Loffler, Rush, Couture and even Richards a chance to develop further, not sure what they will do with Intzandt, Renaud or Vitt. They may decide to trade Bucknor or Hurl but they won't cut them outright.
  9. I Heard an explanation somewhere that said that with the short time period between games there were certain plays the team had absolutely no time to practice. Short yardage being one of them.
  10. Interesting, in Chris Jones latest interview he stated that the Riders are going to have 2 backs on the field for 30% of their plays. Obviously the Bombers have had a deficiency in this dept. the last couple of years handling their blocking assignments. Which back besides Harris will get the majority of snaps to help with the blocking assignments, Cronk, Normand or Lochard?
  11. Nothing wrong with the question as it opened a dialogue that produced information that was previously unknown, that's a starting point. Now we know, 71 sacks given up, 26 were Oline fault. Okay, further elaboration is necessary because there is no denying that the number of sacks given up have been a huge problem the last two seasons.
  12. No kidding, I'd love to have a further breakdown on those numbers between QB's, RB's and receivers.
  13. That's Foketi! Would love to sit down for a beer between Wylie and Dave Ritchie, A-1 entertainment value.
  14. Is he the LB that was filling in for Woods last year?
  15. Disappointed they cut Collins but I guess they figure Thomas and Butcher have the inside rotation covered. Hoping someday soon that Cole makes a reappearance on the outside as I still think he was the best complement to Westerman. Battle now comes down to Dieke, Green and Hubbard for the last remaining DE spot.
  16. SHERBROOKE – The Montreal Alouettes announced the following transactions on Tuesday. Players released: Vincent Brown (I), OL, Southern Miss Kyler Elsworth (I), LB, Michigan State Jewel Hampton (I), RB, Southern Illinois Victor Hampton (I), DB, South Carolina Quinn Lawlor (N), OT, BYU Demarlon Morris (I), WR, Texas A&M Commerce Jerry Rice Jr. (I), WR, UNLV Nathan Slaughter (I), DB, West Texas A&M Diaheem Watkins (I), DE, Alabama-Birmingham Also, international linebacker Bear Woods had to return home for personal reasons and is expected to be back in the near future. He has therefore been placed on the suspended player list. Hopefully Bear Woods isn't back in time for game #1.
  17. Yah, can't be too worried about the D as I'm fully consumed worrying about the O.
  18. It looked like Randle was playing the far corner tonight and Bucknor the short side, am I wrong?
  19. How do you come up with 4 RB's? Cut Castillo and Anderson, stash Billy P. on the PR. If Medlock gets injured they can always find a discarded booter lying in the gutter.
  20. They kept two RB's on the active roster last year, so I don't see why they couldn't keep Flanders around as a change of pace back for Harris this year. Wally made that move 3-4 years ago when he acquired Stefan Logan and it worked out well.
  21. I think that's a viable conclusion, none of them looked very good tonight including Jace Daniels. Bond is the lucky one who got to stay home.
  22. Well how are they going to add complexity if they can't execute simple?
  23. Good interview with Richie Hall just concluded on TSN radio, should be able to re-listen on a podcast.
