  1. I guess Brandon Banks wasn't staying away from camp for strictly family reasons....unless it's "my family needs more money!" Drew Edwards ✔ @scratchingpost #Ticats have agreed to a new contract with @speedybanks87. No details available yet. #CFL 2:10 PM - 9 Jun 2016
  2. Main complaint with smaller scat backs is getting wrapped up in the backfield which leads to 2 and outs far too often. I'll take a "low potential grinder" like Curtis Steele who can get 4-5 yards on almost every carry over the occasional flash any day. Hopefully the O-line can make the holes this year so that will not be an issue. Round two goes next Monday, there will be blood. Don't miss it sports fans!
  3. The new class is going to push some of the old class right out the door.
  4. He also has to prove that he is a disciplined route runner if he wants the receiver job.
  5. The problem I see with Anderson is that he is a small RB and needs space to look good, As we saw with Cotton unless there is a good hole smaller backs can be easily rendered ineffective. Flanders seems to have some power and can break tackles as well as run well in the open field, more like Andrew Harris in that regard.
  6. It's locked up unless you are a subscriber. I was really hoping they would review that feature but it appears they haven't changed their minds.
  7. Wade Miller deserves full credit for making the return of the royal blue happen.
  8. I did not know this about Hanson. Not to disparage his contributions but you can imagine the advantage an import RB would have playing in a league full of non-import defenders, now and probably more-so way-back when. It would have been the equivalent of a Canuck playing hockey in a league full of Americans.
  9. That has to be the best diet I've ever heard of! How much bacon do you have to eat to lose weight? **** Jenny Craig!!!
  10. Man mountain Butcher looked good, any possibility that guy can play O-line as well?
  11. Have to disagree with your appraisal of Flanders, I think he beats out Anderson, more meat on his bones and better inside runner. Also Castillo may be cut but he has a good chance of being picked up by another team. I think he's missed 2 FG's since he's been a Bomber, can't ask for more.
  12. Pre-season but still felt really good, reminded my of the joy of watching the WBB during the Cal Murphy years.
  13. I'm with you, I made the mistake of taking a "chatty Cathy" to a game once who couldn't bare silence for 10 seconds, I got so annoyed with her inane blather I told her to shut her pie-hole until we got back to the car. Funny,...I didn't see her much after that.
  14. Migs counts for at least 6 deactivated accounts.
  15. I almost wonder if Wetenhall Jr. isn't taking more of an active role in running the team into the ground. Papa was pretty hands off.
  16. An interesting note from Rod's Blog, I wouldn't dare submit anyone to the whole thing. http://www.riderfans.com/forum/showthread.php?134584-2016-Training-Camp/page56 3 – What are the big stories which have emerged through training camp? Well the biggest one is likely the fact around a dozen players have been switched over to the other side of the ball for the first time in their careers. That includes veteran long-snapper and defensive end Levi Steinhauer who’s been moved to fullback. The move may be permanent, as the Moose Jaw product has switched his jersey number from 51 to 13. Bodes well. And of course this... That, friends, is when Canada’s Team will truly begin coming together for this monumental season. RP
  17. OMG! OMG! Edit: Geeze, you scared me for a minute there. I figured Wade snuck up behind you and shoveled your face through the monitor before you could finish your message.
  18. If you'd care to share that inside information, I'll clear the path of any RR spies lurking in the shadows. Sooooooieee!!!!!!!!!!
  19. If you listen to the BB Talk Podcast below the brothers Hodge discuss five Bomber jersey numbers that are currently out of circulation but not officially retired. Bob Cameron’s #6; Kenny Ploen #11; Chris Walby’ #63; Milt Stegall #85; Jeff Nicklin #28; and Tommy Lumsden #75. Nicklin was killed in World War II, while Lumsden passed away in 1955 during a routine surgical procedure at the age of twenty-five. http://3downnation.com/2016/06/06/blue-bomber-talk-podcast-episode-21-ft-darrin-bauming/
  20. Seems to me that Popp is being very indecisive these days, which is not good from a management perspective. Henoc backs me on this one.
  21. Don't get your hopes up too high, O'Shea responded to Bob's Achilles heal question with a soft denial and his standard, "I don't look at it that way" answer.....so he may or may not recognize the O-lines performance as a problem but he sure isn't going to acknowledge that it was.
  22. I don't think he did, he was available during F.A. but as far as I know nobody picked him up.
  23. I have to hand it to Trump, despite the message he is conveying he is a great public speaker who can ramble on effortlessly for 45 minutes almost unscripted. Can't recall the last politician that could do that and retain a crowds attention.
