You could be right, the Riders might have been out of their depth against a motivated Bomber team at home, but it sure looks like there was a whole lot of confusion in that secondary on Lawler's 3 TD's. That falls on the DC, screwups like that shouldn't still be happening so late in the season. This was a great goodbye Wpg. present from Lawler.

Walters presser this afternoon, answers a lot of questions.

I still think the WF against the Riders was a bit of an anomaly, explain how a team gets to the WF and is still so incapable of coordination they commit 3 broken coverage errors allowing Kenny Lawler (of all players) to sneak behind them for uncontested TD's. The game turned into a cakewalk, which may have led to over confidence in the potency of their passing attack against the Argos.

2024/2025 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread

Nothing wrong with DesLauriers resume, he's only 43, he played 9 years with the Als and spent the last 8 years working in their front office. Deslauriers retired as a player in February 2016 but stayed with the Alouettes as a football operations assistant and scout.[1] He was named as the team's Player Personnel Coordinator on July 18, 2019 shortly after the dismissal of the team's general manager, Kavis Reed.[2] He was promoted to Director of Football Operations after the 2019 Montreal Alouettes season on December 18, 2019.[3] -
A RB can't carry a team in a high scoring contest, without decent passing attack they'll never keep pace with a team that can move the ball and score quickly through the air.
-
Doubt it, they wouldn't have made the playoffs without him the past 4 seasons.

Reads like a quote Hufnagel might have made around 6 years ago when the Bombers were rising. -
You never want to get into a disagreement with a Greek, once they're done yelling they start crying and throwing dishes around.

$230k, I believe that matches Brady's salary and is aprox. $80k more than Dequoy at $150k. Crazy.

Must be returning to existing ties and opportunities in Edm., probably a lot of career opportunities available for players who choose to live in Edm. and make it their home after football.

Technically he has been more active this year, because he didn't even answer his phone during the previous two FA periods.

Maybe Wilson, but he has a lot to prove and very little time to do it. If not they make a trade in the off-season or pick up someone like Fajardo on the rebound, -

Sorry disagree, I think all 4 Western opponents have improved their rosters to some degree, depending on QB health BC and Sask. could challenge for first. -

2021, spent 3 seasons with the Als, most of last season on the 6 game. -

With competition in the West rising, you honestly think Strev replaces Zach next season and they still make the playoffs? Would that be worth betting the farm on? -

Don't want Crum or Strev. starting, why waste time on QB's with low potential of winning games consistently, neither will ever become a #1 and it would be painful to watch a team try to make it happen. Suffered enough through the likes of Alex Brink and Justin Goltz to know it's probably not going to work out well. -
Walters finished up the paperwork and shut off the lights, may not hear from him again all week. He's made all the signings last week official.

Based on what, nothing? Likely scenario Strev. goes .500 as a starter, crushes his body doing so and within 6 games sustains major injury and ends up on the 6 game. No team is going to make him #1, might as well anoint Dustin Crum as a starter, he's stayed healthier and accumulated better stats on a worse team. -

Hate to speculate a year away, but the way the roulette ball is bouncing along I think there's a fair chance Fajardo becomes the successor to Collaros next season if he retires. He's only 32 and he's not nearly as bad as many imagine. Depends how Ford does in Edm and if a clear successor emerges from the rabble of QB's Walters has assembled for this season, but the ball could possibly come to rest in the hands of Cody Fajardo. -

Doesn't seem like much of a plan coming out of the Bombers offices these days, grab whatever leftover QB's no other team wants, and see if they can surprise everyone by uncovering a competent QB. Where's the obvious talent? Might as well revert to Pigrome just for the thrill of it. -

If Wilson is relegated to #3, dry rot will set in from neglect and he'll develop as far as Dom Davis did in Wpg. Dru Brown progressed because he got actual playing time, not through osmosis from sitting next to Zach.
