  1. Can we get a pic of the Bushwackers in here?
  2. Might not see many/any more cuts now. 65 is 19 over the 46 game day roster. With 10 going on the PR that leaves 9 to go/hide on IR.
  3. People already complain that the first couple games are glorified exhibition games and you want to shorten preseason even more? Not fewer games, but maybe less practice time. Maybe start rookie camp earlier as veterans don't seem to need/want as much practice time during TC. I'm just looking for some creative solutions, unlike you who just likes to complain.Yeah cause less practice time is sure to make those first games better played. You say creative ideas, I say stupid ideas not even worth considering. Longer preseason would be better for the leagues overall playYour reply really doesn't surprise me. You're the "Debbie Downer" of MBB. I'm only down on stupid ideas. Sorry your got your feelings hurt but shortening the preseason is not a good idea. Makes the start of the regular season even uglier and I'm not interested in seeing more glorified preseason games in the regular season. The early season games are already meaningless enough. I'm suggesting less practice time for veterans, start rookie camp earlier and still play 2 preseason games. It's a complex idea that I wouldn't expect you to understand.
  4. You should have stumbled over and puked your Maui mai tai all over their transmission device. Opportunity lost.Or better yet, you should have sharted in the pool they were hanging out in.
  5. I wonder who's going to win the "big end zone jump ball WR" we've been looking for?
  6. O'Shea has a man-crush on Peach.
  7. Last year's ST Captain, I believe...Pontbriand was the ST captain last year.
  8. Nate Collins is still on the roster.
  9. I'm surprised at Tuenei and Brown.
  10. @PentonKirk: #Bombers have 80 players, excluding Dan West, who is on the retired list. So they had to cut seven players Sunday.
  11. I've seen the Ticats beat writer, Drew Edwards do a fabulous job of covering their training camp. Miles ahead of what we get from Winnipeg reporters covering the Bombers.
  12. Curious, did you notice him exhibiting this? Nothing more than last year, at least from what I've seen in practice. But I recall an interview Willy did a while ago, and he said that Marcel wants him moving a little more in the pocket this season, so I hope it actually happens. Can't have him just standing back there like a sitting duck, although the improved OL will help.
  13. You think I'm making this stuff up? Go to a practice and you'll see most (not all) of the media there spend a large chunk of practice either not there (showing up late) or socializing and not actually watching practice.
  14. Riders will be making their cuts soon.
  15. I hope Willy moves around in the pocket a little more this season.
  16. O'Shea said in his presser today that there will be "debates" amongst the coaching staff who gets cut. Wouldn't surprise me if the coaching staff and management are meeting right now deciding who gets cut. I wouldn't call that "indecisive", but rather they have some real difficult decisions to make, which is a good thing.
  17. No but he was wearing a bright yellow hat with the rest of his "outfit". Then some guy went up to him and said "hey Paul" like he wanted to talk to him. Wicek just kept walking like he was some big celebrity who's too good for the average Joe.
  18. That was in reference to Michael Sam. Chad Remple was at the doctor today. Thank you and thank God!Let's hope he didn't catch herpes from Addison Richards! lol
  19. Is the objective in football not to move the chains and score points? Marve has been able to do so on a consistent basis, and thus, has been the more effective QB. Through all preseason and regular season games so far, Brohm has a completion percentage of 55% to Marve's 51%... Does the 4% difference really mean that much when the former played in perfectly manageable situations and has no other dimensions to his game? I think not. Also, regarding practice reports (which is what we were talking about in the first place)... It's hard to tell who's being truthful lately (especially with all the bickering back and forth). Two days ago, gbill wouldn't stop raving about Brohm while neglecting to say a word about Marve. Meanwhile, another poster at TEP singled out Marve as the standout QB that day, while Twitter suggested that he was having a great day as well. The next day, gbill again stated how good Brohm is while another poster at TEP said that Marve was even better. The thing is we all have our biases and people see what they want to see sometimes. Marve 100% struggled today. And read my full report from yesterday (there's more than just the initial post), Brohm had his ups and downs, along with Marve and Portis. Willy is clearly the best and after that they all have their warts. But the more practice I see, the more clear it is that Brohm is the best of the rest. Marv'e initial reaction is that he wants to run, and he often struggles from the pocket. Based on the last 3 days, I'd rank the QB's:1. Willy 2. Brohm 3A. Portis 3B. Marve Portis and Marve are really close. Yantz has thrown one pass in scrimmage so I can't really evaluate him.
  20. That was in reference to Michael Sam. Chad Remple was at the doctor today.
  21. The BC Lions have annouced the folliwng transactions: Released from roster: QB Travis Partridge (I),DB Torri Williams (I), DB Derrick Morgan (I), RB Brendan Bigelow (I), OL John Estes (I), OL Kaycee Ike (I), DL Alex King (I), Rec Reggie Jordan (I). Add to roster: DB Jordan Rwiyamilira
  22. Gord Hinse is a stud OL according to Rider fans. Non issue.
  23. Yes exactly.
  24. Dile & Neufeld still not practicing. Addison Richards practicing for third straight day. Practicing FGs when I arrived. Scrimmage starting now. Willy with a short pass to Pontbriand. Brohm with 2 RB handoffs then a beauty 50 yard TD pass to Gordon. Brohm and Willy both practicing with the number one offence. Starting OL looks like Bryant, Greaves, Picard, Chungh, Daniels. Practicing punt coverage now with Pontbriand as the long snapper. No sign of Chad Remple here today. Toney Clemmons taking reps now with the 1's in the skelly in place of Gordon, who is with the 2's now. Willy with completions to JFG and Adams. Carlos Anderson running with the 1's and Cotton with the 2's. Moe Leggett back practicing today. Just dropped a punt return catch attempt. Gordon also on punt returns. Marc Dile standing off alone by himself again today. Far away from his OL group. Wouldn't surprise me if he's cut. Demond Washington not wearing a helmet today. Zach Anderson has a big bag of ice on his knee. Brohm with 2 intermediate completions in a row to Willie. Darvin Adams with a nice run block for Carlos Anderson. Marve just picked off by Tony Burnett. Marve struggling to find open receivers in the pocket. In 4 plays he ran once, one int, and 2 bad incompletions with one just thrown to the ground. Portis also struggling. The D is really impressing today in scrimmage. Practice started at 8:30. Jim Toth arrives at 10:00 and has been chatting on the phone for the past half hour not watching practice. Paul Wicek is wearing women's shoes and light blue khaki pants. Yantz gets one rep in scrimmage. First rep I've seen him get lately. Buck Pierce's wife is here with their baby.
