  1. Why would he switch agents? Article says 2 connected CFL agents are courting him. What impact would this have?
  2. Let's not forget that Walters was chosen by Joe Mack to be assistant GM. If anything, Miller should be commended for not bringing in one of "his guys" here.
  3. But thats no fun! I prefer speculating based on unsubstantiated rumors! lol
  4. Collaros + Willy I'm all for! Willy instead of Collaros = recipe for disaster.
  5. If this is accurate, the Riders will be paying approx $500,000 in fines and will lose their first and second round draft picks.
  6. I'm pretty sure teams lose their first round draft pick if they go over the SMS cap.
  7. Why is it sad? Are people not entitled to do what they want in life? Not everyone gets married.
  8. Gary Lawless reports that the Bombers will interview Saskatchewan Roughriders Assistant GM Jeremy O'Day for the Bombers GM opportunity, after the Grey Cup.
  9. I was chatting with Dave Naylor yesterday and he said he can't see Collaros is in the NFL next season.
  10. Bob Irving is quite connected to inside info on the Bombers so there might be something to this. We shall see...
  11. Is Bob Irving's pick for who he thinks will be the Bombers next head coach. A combo of O'Shea, Khari as OC and Burke DC would be pretty sweet.
  12. Walters is the GM. Miller just needs to finish his pretend 'exhaustive search' before he names Walters GM.
  13. NO! I did NOT say or imply that. Just that, well.... am I the only guy who used to see the old school players in the bars after games? Damon Allen was another piece of work. Guy sure liked to "socialize." Okay. You didn't say it, but you certainly implied it.
  14. Berry had some people management skill issues when he was here. That factored into why he was fired.
  15. Just seems like a strange combo; OL coach and assistant head coach.
  16. Als owner asked Popp to do both HC and GM. Likely a cost saving move because they're still paying Hawkins.
  17. Ugh giving up the first round pick outright is too high a price to pay for a FA qb. This.Toronto should be the one who's desperate, they're losing an asset for nothing, if Ottawa drafts him, you get zip, he leaves as a free agent, you get zip. Not true. Under that scenario they keep their 7th and 8th best NIs.
  18. If it's a high draft pick it's probably a first, maybe a second (11th overall). Third rounders aren't high.I'll go with Reilly although I think Collaros will have a good career as well. Called it prior to the 2013 season - said Reilly would pass for 4000+ yards and pass for 20+ TDs and stuck with that expert prognostication despite strong objections expressed by several forum members here. He's already a star QB in spite of a weak Edmonton O-line and he will remain one for several years to come. Didn't we trade away our 2nd rounder in the Neufeld/Hall trade?
  19. Doug Brown has a day job? What exactly does he do? Thought he just wrote his free press column and did part time work for cjob.
  20. I know it's a difficult question to answer because there's more to see of Reilly, but who do you think will end up being the better QB over the next 5-10 years? I think it'll be fun to discuss because we've had the opportunity to acquire both. Looks we'll end up getting Collaros.
  21. Bell doesn't want the job as CEO. CEO is always the fall guy when things don't go right in the organization. In Bell's current position he can fly under the radar and be a long term employee of the Bombers.
  22. On one of the final cjob coaches shows Burke said the Bombers were significantly below the cap.
